0:53 to just take it forward to give you another context of what is mentioned in

0:57 for Smit of the sixteen and I want to help us remember something and take

1:03 some things into our life so that we will live the kind of life that

1:06 God wants us to live. First, Samuel's up to sixteen. Now,

1:10 the Lord said to Samuel, just to give you a contact. I'm reading

1:12 from the n Lty version and it says you have mourned long enough for Saul.

1:17 I have rejected him as king of Israel. So I want you to

1:19 go to the House of Jesse and I have selected one of Jesse's sons to

1:26 be my king. Okay, paraphrasing it to the point was too says,

1:32 But Samuel asks, how can I do If Saul hears about it, he

1:34 will kill me. Saul is going to kill me. And then God says,

1:40 take a heap of with you and say that you're come to make a

1:44 sacrifice to the Lord. Invite Jesse to the sacrifice, and I will show

1:47 you which of the sons to anoint to be the king. Look at this,

1:53 God is giving this idea to Samuel. Samuel is saying, if I

1:59 go to annoying the next king, King Saul is going to be mad and

2:01 he will kill me. Because King Saul is a mad guy. He's gone

2:06 off track. He's doing everything that's he will, He's doing things that you're

2:09 not supposed to do. He is not looking after the Lord. He's not

2:14 he's not looking at any way of getting back on track. And I'm sure

2:17 that he's going to kill me. This is this is a real issue.

2:21 This was a real problem. This was a you know the intensity. Think

2:24 about this. The king, the king of this country. He has the

2:29 right and the power to kill That's not what he should do. It's not

2:32 the right thing for him to do, but he can do it because he's

2:36 the king. And here is Samuel worried about it and says, how can

2:40 I go and annoint the next king? And here's the thing God is not

2:44 saying, listen, don't you trust me? Don't you trust that I'm more

2:47 powerful than King Saul. Don't you know that I'm able to protect and rescue

2:53 you? How can you be of little faith condon say any of that to

2:58 Samuel? God in even say, listen, that's none of your business,

3:02 because even if you're killed, it's all part part of my plan and my

3:06 purpose. So I want you to just take a step of faith, and

3:08 I want you to go and anoint. I will take care of David.

3:12 I will protect him, I will watch over him. Did God say any

3:15 of that? What did God say? God is saying, go and say

3:22 that you'll come to make a sacrifice to the Lord. Was God lying in

3:25 that place? Was God scared of being saulved that God was giving this idea

3:30 to lie? Listen? If anybody else had come up with this idea,

3:34 they would say that is not from God, because lying is a sin.

3:37 Yes, I understand the Bible is very clearly I'm not giving you the ability

3:40 or giving you the right or the you know, the permission for you to

3:45 go and lie. I'm not saying go and live a life where you lie.

3:47 That's not what I'm saying. But I want you to understand the context

3:51 here. This was not a man saying. If anybody else said this in

3:57 the Bible itself, people would say, goden do this, God and say

4:00 this. So you see, this was a human mystic. That's why they

4:04 said, go and give this kind of a you know, a reason,

4:10 say that it's it's just a sacrifice. But this was not a man.

4:14 This was not Prophet Samuel, this was not anybody else. This was God

4:17 giving this word. And God was saying, go and say that they come

4:24 to sacrifice. And on the pretext of sacrificing, I want you to anoint

4:30 the next king. Why did God choose to play it safe? Because you

4:35 need to understand, guys, there is a place to stand up. There's

4:40 a place to stand firm, there's a place to speak up. There's a

4:43 place to do what is right against all odds, even though you're you know

4:46 there as the moments you need to stand firm for your faith. All of

4:48 that is true, but you need to go back to that place where you

4:54 understand are you doing what God wants you to do? You doing that?

4:58 See, sometimes what I see is people do something stupid and end up in

5:01 trouble, and then they think that what trouble they're going through is persecution.

5:09 Sometimes there is the persecution came because of your stupidity, not because you did

5:15 what was the right thing to do or the wise thing to do. I

5:20 know, we want to, you know, be open and vocal, and

5:24 we want to say, you know what, I'm like those apostles, you

5:27 know, standing foam against the opposition and the persecution. You know, some

5:31 of the times we listen to preachers who say all of these things, but

5:34 if you look at their own life, they don't do that. Guys,

5:38 they know how to be wise when when needed to be wise. We're not

5:43 We're not underlining or going to the place we are saying, you know what,

5:47 hiding the truth. But we're being wise. You know how much of

5:54 persecution, so to speak, persecution can be stopped or would reduce if Christians

6:00 were not being stupid. But we are being wise listening to what God was

6:04 saying you can, you can say, you know what, I'm going to

6:10 go open and go and condemn other religions and I'm going to preach the truth

6:14 about Hell. I'm going to do this. I'm going to do that.

6:15 You know. That's why Christ and you you're being you know, people are

6:20 running away. They don't want to listen to you, they don't want to

6:24 have anything. You know. In the last couple of days, I've had

6:27 conversations with so many people of other faiths where they say, you know what,

6:30 I'm scared of Christians because their only mission is to convert, their only

6:33 mission is to come and you know, tell you know, I'm going to

6:38 Hell and all of these things. You know, in a in a I'm

6:42 telling you guys, sometimes you need to go undercover. Undercover. God was

6:49 saying, go go in the go as the sacrifice, and on the pretext

6:54 of the sacrifice, go and anoint the next king. I don't know who

6:59 needs to hear this word, but some of you need to get to that

7:00 place where you say, yes, God, maybe I don't need to be

7:05 as jumpy and worcal as somebody else. Maybe I need to go calm,

7:12 you know, put out a different phase sort of put. No, I'm

7:14 not saying being lying or manipulating people. That's not what I mean. But

7:17 maybe you can be in a different way. You can still end up doing

7:21 the right thing. You may for example, you know, I always wanted

7:28 to be like you know, as a minister known as a minister. But

7:31 then now as the days go by, as sometimes you know, in places

7:36 where they won't call in a preacher, you know, I go into comedy

7:42 or I do motivation. What I do is I'm going as a motivational speaker.

7:46 I'm going as a comedian. I do what I can do and then

7:48 bring out a message may not be the message of you know, go guys,

7:54 you know you're all going to hell, not like that, but you

7:56 know, maybe a message from God's word without telling it's from God's word.

8:00 It and people's lives are blessed, and then they start following my content and

8:05 they receive the word of God. If I go there and say, you

8:07 know what, I'm a preacher, listen to me, that's stupidity. Are

8:13 you getting what I'm saying today? I pray that you know you'll understand that

8:18 God was not lying here, but God was also understanding or speaking from a

8:24 place of wisdom where you can do things in a better way or a different

8:30 way. He sort of you know, maybe God could have said, you

8:33 know, you know what, Okay, it's fine, and then it becomes

8:37 a big news. Saul gets mad, constant tension, and of course that

8:41 happened later on. I'm not saying didn't happen, the tension between Saul and

8:45 David. But then this was not a moment for that to happen. This

8:48 was not the time for that to happen, because so David was a little

8:52 boy still and if that happened now, it would have been a big problem

8:56 for David. So sometimes you see, it's better to plead safe. So

9:01 today I pray that God will give you the wisdom to understand win, to

9:05 plead safe and win, to be strong and vocal and sound. And you've
