Don’t Waste the Season You Didn’t Choose | John Giftah | Christian Sermon
Tonight's Episode
In Daniel chapter 1, Daniel and his friends were taken captive to Babylon. They did not choose this situation.
They did not volunteer for this journey.
It was forced upon them.
Yet instead of wasting their time complaining or living with bitterness, they chose to make the most of the season they were placed in.
The Bible tells us that they excelled in their training and stood out above the others.
Many of us find ourselves in seasons we did not choose.
A job we didn’t plan for.
A city we didn’t expect to live in.
A situation that came through circumstances beyond our control.
The question is not whether you chose the season.
The question is: What will you do with the season you are in?
In this episode of Fuel for the Soul with John Giftah, discover how to maximize seasons you didn’t choose and why the training period of your life may be preparing you for something greater.
Don’t waste the season. Grow in it.

Speaker 1: Do you ever look around and think, Wow, the world
Speaker 1: is a crazy place and it just seems to get
Speaker 1: crazier and crazier. Ease your mind and take a break.

Speaker 1: the life that you were created for. Your host is

Speaker 1: aerospace engineer, life coach, evangelist and founder of John Gifta International.
Speaker 1: Welcome to Fuel for the Soul with John GIFTA.
Speaker 2: Hey, God, risheld Li sach A joy for me to
Speaker 2: be with you today on this segment of the Fuel
Speaker 2: for the Soul with John Gift of podcast. Since yesterday
Speaker 2: we've been doing a little bit of learning from the
Speaker 2: Life of Daniel Daniel chapter one, and today I'm going
Speaker 2: to talk another important aspect because yesterday I told you
Speaker 2: that even when they did not expect they were taken
Speaker 2: as captive, they were from the royal family, the royal
Speaker 2: circles and nobility. And from there Daniel and his friends
Speaker 2: and a lot of men from that age group that
Speaker 2: from that background were taken as captive and taken into Babylon.
Speaker 2: And yes, the thing I told you that they did
Speaker 2: not have like a bad attitude, especially when you look
Speaker 2: at Daniel and his friends. They had all the reasons
Speaker 2: to have a bad attitude, to have self pity, to
Speaker 2: not go their extra mile, to you know, have this
Speaker 2: spirit of like, you know, why should I do this?
Speaker 2: You know, I just want to get back. Or they
Speaker 2: could have had the complaining spirit, they could have walked
Speaker 2: with a chip on their shoulder. But if you see
Speaker 2: Daniel and his friends Shadrack Michigan habitat or they had
Speaker 2: the spirit of excellence. They walked with integrity. They were
Speaker 2: ten times better than the rest of the young men
Speaker 2: when they were taken in after three years of the training.
Speaker 2: And today I want to talk about one aspect of
Speaker 2: it might sound like a repetition in one way when
Speaker 2: I'm talking about it. That's the reason I want to
Speaker 2: remind you, and I want to take it forward in
Speaker 2: case you mistested his segment. But I want to talk
Speaker 2: to let you know that, oh, they did not choose
Speaker 2: this by their choice. It was pushed on them, you
Speaker 2: know what I mean. And they had all the reason
Speaker 2: not to put in their best effort, and they had
Speaker 2: all the reason to, you know, maybe just be complacent,
Speaker 2: not go the extra mile, have a bad attitude. Maybe
Speaker 2: they were in depression, they were missing their family. All
Speaker 2: of these things could be true. Here's the thing. The
Speaker 2: Bible says, if you look at Daniel sapter one was five,
Speaker 2: that they were to be trained for three years and
Speaker 2: then they would enter the king service. And I was
Speaker 2: thinking to think about this, like, there could have been
Speaker 2: so many young men, okay, who were trained for the
Speaker 2: three years, and in that process, there could have been
Speaker 2: many of them who did not put in their best
Speaker 2: step or two were always complaining. Maybe they were depressed,
Speaker 2: they didn't do their job well, they did not go
Speaker 2: through that training properly, and maybe at the end of
Speaker 2: three years, they you know, like just blew it. Or
Speaker 2: they were not chosen by the king. Maybe they did
Speaker 2: not perform well in front of the king, or the
Speaker 2: king did not, you know, choose them to serve him
Speaker 2: in any capacity or whatever. So think about this, they
Speaker 2: did not choose this, right Like, in a similar way
Speaker 2: in your life, there may be areas that you do
Speaker 2: not choose. You're saying, I didn't ask for this, you know,
Speaker 2: I didn't choose this course. I didn't want to do
Speaker 2: this course. I didn't want to do this. I didn't
Speaker 2: want to be involved in this, but it was pushed
Speaker 2: on me, this relationship. I didn't want for this, but
Speaker 2: then somehow the family convinced me into this, and somehow
Speaker 2: things just fell in place. Or maybe this course or
Speaker 2: maybe this job, whatever it is, you're pushed into something
Speaker 2: that you're not actually, you know, you put your thought
Speaker 2: intowards something that you decided because you would have allowed
Speaker 2: to do it. You would have chosen something else if
Speaker 2: it was in your hands. But like Daniel and his friends,
Speaker 2: maybe you were pushed into something that you did not want.
Speaker 2: A season of training, a season of hardship, a season
Speaker 2: where things were bleakue, maybe you had to let go
Speaker 2: of your loud ones, maybe be in an area or
Speaker 2: a season of training and whatever. Daniel was in a
Speaker 2: season of training his friends, but in a season where
Speaker 2: they were trained away from their family. So think about
Speaker 2: all of this they were emotionally they could have felt
Speaker 2: a lot like I do not know if I will
Speaker 2: ever get to see my family again. Or they would
Speaker 2: have because they were young men, they grew up with
Speaker 2: their family, you know what I mean, They will have
Speaker 2: fresh memories and crying and pain because I remember when
Speaker 2: I had to go to boarding for my aerospace engineering program.
Speaker 2: I grew up with my family, my entire life. So
Speaker 2: when I go, when I went for those four years
Speaker 2: of the engineering program, what happened every time? I used
Speaker 2: to cry because I missed my family because I may
Speaker 2: not be able to spend as much as time as
Speaker 2: I would. And guess what, Daniel and his friends did
Speaker 2: not even have the assurance of ever meeting their family again.
Speaker 2: You know, they were away, they did not have any contact.
Speaker 2: They were totally different, in a different kingdom. Altogether, everything
Speaker 2: was like so difficult for them. But even in the
Speaker 2: midst of all that, they had a split of excellence.
Speaker 2: They went the extramal They did not waste the training
Speaker 2: years and that's why they were promoted. They kept going
Speaker 2: higher and higher. If you see Daniel and his friends
Speaker 2: throughout this chapter, they constantly promoted and they kept going
Speaker 2: higher and serving on a different case. So what's my
Speaker 2: message to you is this, you can look at your
Speaker 2: area that you're pushed into and complain and have a
Speaker 2: bad attitude and waste those training years and come out
Speaker 2: as nothing, or you can use this to push you
Speaker 2: into yours, to propel you into new levels of your destiny.
