0:45 Speaker 2: Hello, everyone, is such a joy for me to join you on this segment of the Fuel for the Soul with John Gifta Podcast. And I just want to share something very important that we can learn and take away from this passage from John chapter five. We've been circling around this passage this week for the most part, and there's something that I really want to talk about because I believe this is so important for such a time as this, So I understand this context here right. I think you might know this already, but in case you missed this, this is the pool of Petesta, where a lot of sick people laid, and every now and then the Angel of the Lord would come and stir up the waters, and over jumped in first would get healed of whatever sickness they had.

1:22 Speaker 2: And there was in that pool a man who has being a crippled for the past thirty eight years. And that is a moment when Jesus steps in. The Bible says in verse six that Jesus saw him and he knew that he had been ill for a long time, asks him, do you want to get well? And the Bible says this very clearly, listen to this. What the man responds right in verse seven, he says, Sir, I can't, for I don't have anyone to put me in the pool when the water bubbles up, and someone else always gets there before me.

1:53 Speaker 2: And Jesus tells him, stand up, pick up your mat, and walk. Okay.

1:59 Speaker 3: Now, there's so much much we can.

2:00 Speaker 2: Learn, and you know, maybe we'll come back to this passage another time in the future. But one of the things that really caught my attention was that sometimes we're so caught up in expecting God to answer the miracle in a certain way. We want him to show up in a certain way. We want him to give out the miracle, the breakthrough or whatever we're hoping for, to turn around in a certain way, that we don't realize that the miracle is in front of us, that we are about to miss the miracle.

2:26 Speaker 3: This man was waiting for a miracle.

2:28 Speaker 2: He wanted a healing, and the only way he thought the healing could happen would be that if he, by any chance somebody helped him to jump into the pool when the pool got stirred by the angel. So he thought that's the only way to get the miracle. That's the only way to go about it. But he didn't realize that the one who was the healer, Jesus himself, was standing in front of him and asking him, do you want to get well? And he's not even realizing who Jesus is. If you read a few verses down, he realizes when someone asked him who healed you, he didn't even know who healed him.

2:59 Speaker 2: He didn't even know Jesus. Right, That is the kind of a situation that this man was. And here's the thing I want to remind you that you know, sometimes we can be so caught up in expecting God to do things in a certain way. If you're saying, you know what, I'm not going to be happy if God till God shows up at the way I want, at the time I want, and I want these things to be fulfilled, then I'm going to be happy. If this works out the way I expect, then it is from the Lord.

3:27 Speaker 2: I want you to understand that God is an expert in using different strategies, different ways, different unconventional methods, many times to do what he needs to do. So everybody in the pool knew of one way the healing could happen. That is when the sturning of the water happened, and whoever jumped in first, But the miracle came to this man in a different way, directly from the souls the healer Jesus Christ. Think about this, right, So sometimes I want you to think about this. You may be feeling like, oh my gosh, God is not showing up.

3:59 Speaker 2: God is not doing this miracle. God is not doing this in my life. I don't understand what is going on. But I wanted to understand. Perhaps the Lord is showing a different strategy, a different way. God is asking you, do you want to get well. I want to heal you. I'm here to restore you. I'm here to deliver you. I'm here to give you the breakthrough you're hoping for. But you're not paying attention because you're still focused on the other method that is working for other people.

4:23 Speaker 3: Are you really what I'm saying? I just want to let you guys know this.

4:27 Speaker 2: You might have heard this before, but I want to say this again that, by the grace of God, this podcast has been ranking up the charts. And one of the new stats that I received yesterday or the day before, if I'm not wrong, was the fact that the podcast I think it was yesterday, is that this podcast is among the top one person podcasts of all the podcasts in the world. Like, that's a global ranking among over four million plus podcasts.

4:53 Speaker 3: This is among the top.

4:54 Speaker 2: Twenty thousand plus podcasts. Okay, I mean, it's not John Gift. It's all the Lord's work, and I'm grateful for the Lord's doing over the podcast. But here's the thing what caught my attention was for the last of late, you know, I've been like so frustrated about why certain things were not working out the way I wanted. I was constantly seeing you know, getting a shadow band on Instagram and Facebook.

5:18 Speaker 3: Many times YouTube was going like.

5:20 Speaker 2: Up and down, you know, like compared to the kind of out in, the kind of hairfoot that I was putting onto YouTube, I was not seeing the result. And suddenly dawned on me and I realized, oh my gosh, listened to this. I was praying that God do a miracle, we blessed the work of my hands, and maybe, just maybe I was praying that the miracles should come through YouTube or Instagram. But the miracle actually came through the podcast, you know what I mean, like to be among the top one person podcasts in the whole wide world.

5:48 Speaker 2: Like I was like, look what the Lord has done. I mean like God was showing me that he was showing up in a certain area. But I was so caught up looking at other things, like oh my gosh, you know what, I'm not getting the kind of recognition on socials, I'm getting shadow bad or I'm not getting to getting the heads I want to see on YouTube. But maybe there's a time for that. Maybe there's going to be a moment when the Lord is going to show up on YouTube. But the thing is this, the Lord is showing up on the podcast, and I I was blinded from seeing that, you know what I mean, it was already ranking up the charts in multiple countries, trending and all of these things.

6:24 Speaker 2: But then I decided, like, you know, what the Lord is doing or work. Then I started praying, Lord, help me to take this podcast what is already working to the next level. In a word from this coming week converts, I'm planning to you know, like incorporate a few things to make this podcast reach you know, like to be the best that I can do. And you know, I'm telling you, I'm investing a lot into this, right. Not only am I doing this by myself along with the full time corporate job, but I'm also investing into the recording software.

6:56 Speaker 2: Every month everything goes in dollars, right, And I invested in another you know podcast, you know, management tool yesterday. That's how I came to know about these new stats, and I realized, like, oh my gosh, there's so much to tap into this podcast, which I was not tapping into because I was not aware the depth of what this podcast was capable of. Because I was not aware of what was already happening with the podcast. You know, I was like, oh my gosh, I all I knew was it was tanking the charts.

7:24 Speaker 2: I didn't know that it was having such a global move happening in all of these things. And guys, I want you to understand, sometimes you don't know what God is up to. You may be saying God is not showing up in a certain area, maybe the way you want him to, maybe the kind of recognition you were hoping for, the kind of heade that you were looking forward to. But maybe the Lord is actually showing up in a different way. But you're not looking at it. You're not You're blinded from seeing that. And today I pray that this will be a wake up call for you.

7:54 Speaker 2: Like this man, he was getting the miracle from the heeler himself, but he was almost seeing it because he didn't even recognize Jesus the souls who was standing by him.

8:04 Speaker 3: Let us not be like that.

8:05 Speaker 2: There is be people who will realize that, you know what, maybe just maybe I don't see it, But the Lord is up to something. Lord show me areas, show me the thing, give you the you know, like, if I'm looking in the different direction, I'm about to miss a moment. Help me to turn my head at the right moment, help me to look at the right direction, help me to look at things in the right way, help me to have your perspective over the situation.
