0:43 Welcome to Fuel for the Soul with John Gifta. I'm going to talk to you today about their opinions of fuel change. I've been talking to you for the past couple of episodes from Acts Strap BET twenty eight and I encourage you to check this passage up for more information if you're not had any chance to do that. But here's the thing I want to share where there's a moment when the Apostle, Paul and the rest of the gang are taken into the island of Malta because of a storm while they were just on board a ship.

1:20 Here's the thing that happens right while they were just it was very cold, it was rainy, and so they were hitting the putting some fire out there to keep the people warm the survivors comfortable. And this is what actually happens during that time. There's a snake or a wiper that holds onto Apostle Paul, and the people here think that, you know, the Apostle Paul was bad, that he was a murderer, and he desolves to be punished, and the Goddess Justice is coming to punish him, and he's going to die, you know.

2:00 This is what they talk about him right in the first couple of verses. Anchorage to check that up. But the Bible says that he just shook the snake off into the fire and suffered no ill effects. It's awesome. He didn't even go through any effects ill effects because of this. And this is what actually happens. In verse six, and I'm reading from the NIV version, it says the people expected him to swell up or suddenly fall dead, but after waiting a long time and seeing nothing unusual happened to him, they changed their minds and said he was a god.

2:36 The people expected him to swell up or suddenly fall dead. But what I want you to understand is there may be people in your life who are expecting negative things to happen to you. They may be expecting some ill over you. They may not have good intentions, or they may be just looking at all the reality of your situation. They may look at your background, your bank account, They may look at where you come from, your family. They may look at what they have seen about you, studied upon you, and they are just saying, you know what, you're not going to make it through life.

3:09 You don't have what it takes. You don't have the connections, the resources of provision. You don't have what it takes in any sense that you ever need. And they may be just waiting or expecting for you to fail. They're expecting for you to fall out, They're expecting for you to die. You may be in a place where you are saying, John, these people are just expecting negative with you over me. They're wishing negativity over me. And you may be in a place like that. But can I tell you something, But after waiting a long time, listen, it says, after waiting a long time, you know one of the things that's really hard is the waiting period, no doubt of it.

3:52 We don't want to wait. But there is an aspect where you need to understand. Yes, you got to wait. You have to wait, the Bible says. And after waiting a long time and seeing nothing unusual happen, they changed their minds. What I want you guys to understand is that that may be people who are expecting negativity over you, but I want you to just wait. Wait for some time, Wait for some time. They're expecting some negative news to come from your end. But fight, fight, wait, trust God. God showed up in a supernatural way, the appossible.

4:34 I was supposed to die, but he did not. And when they waited and they saw that their expectations did not happen, they changed their minds. They were stunned. They were like, this is a supernatural act. What I want you guys to understand today is that when you stay faithful, when you look up to the Lord, when you trust in the Lord, when you would just wait for some time, wait for some time, guys, I encourage you listen. Even in my ministry, we've been waiting. I've been waiting for a long period of time from a lot of miracles, for a lot of you know, promises of God to become reality in my life.

5:15 They're not happen yet. But you know what, people may have negative opinions. People have said, it's not going to happen. The ministry's never going to grow. I don't have what it takes. You know, I'm just ambitious, and it's not going to happen. People can have their expectations waiting to see when I'm going to quit, waiting to see when I'm going to give up, waiting to see when I'm going to throw in the towel. But I'm here to tell you when I keep waiting, waiting, waiting, waiting, waiting, and I'm looking up to the Lord, when I trust in him and I know that he's faithful to his word, God is going to show up and show out supernaturally.

5:48 That's my hope. And that's why i'm preaching to you, not because I'm just preaching theory. I'm preaching from the reality that I know as set in in my heart, from the word of God, that my God is faithful to his word and He's going to show up, and he will definitely show up in your life. He will definitely show up. The people who are expecting for you to die, are going to change their minds, Their opinions will change. God will make that happen. Believe it. And it's not just for you to prove yourself to people.

6:22 When God makes it happen. The next couple of verses, you see that the apostle Paul was a mighty witness for God in this place. He was able to heal so many people praying for them, and he was a great testimony for the Kingdom of God. That's what God will do in changing the opinions of people or in your life.
