0:54 to ask you this question today, oh is your fruit? One of those

0:59 shows I want to start off by sharing with you today is Matthew Chapter seven,

1:03 verse nineteen, which really caught my attention. Well, I was just

1:07 going through this, which a lot of times I've heard and I just miss

1:11 miss one of the words in this. A lot of times I always thought

1:17 it was saying a tree that does not bear fruit is cut down. So

1:21 the emphasis is on just bear some fruit. Right. That's how I've heard

1:26 a lot of preaching and servants, and that's what was engraved in me thinking,

1:32 you know, you need to just bear some fruit. But as I

1:34 was just reading through the scripture, if you look at the NIV version,

1:38 for example, it says every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut

1:45 down and thrown into the fire. And even if you look at the NLT

1:49 version, it says, so every tree that does not produce good fruit is

1:52 chopped down. So it doesn't just say if you don't bear a fruit,

1:57 you'll be cut off. It's saying that if you don't bear good fruit,

2:01 you will be cut off. Right. That really caught my attension because I

2:07 want to tell you guys, this is actually talking about us where we are

2:10 called to produce fruit for the Lord. We are not here to just volluate

2:15 time. We're not here to just make it through life. We are not

2:17 just living and then die and then be buried. That's not our goal.

2:22 We are here to build the Kingdom of God. We are here for a

2:25 higher purpose or higher calling. We are here, by the divine plan of

2:30 God for such a time as this, so that we will accomplish the task

2:34 for which God has created us and placed us in this world. But as

2:39 part of that, the thing is we have to produce fruit. We have

2:45 to produce fruit, and it's not enough to just produce fruit. The Bible

2:49 says you need to produce good fruit because if you don't produce good fruit,

2:54 you will be cut off. There's no use, there's no point anybody here

2:59 say. You know what, even if the mango is spoiled, I don't

3:02 mind going and eating it, Or even if this fruit does not taste good,

3:08 I don't mind eating it. Do you ever say that? No?

3:12 Right, you always say I want the fruit which tastes the best the way

3:15 it's supposed to. I want the fruit that looks really good. I want

3:20 it really nutritious way as possible. So what you're saying is you want the

3:28 fruit to be in its best. Then how can you say that or think

3:31 that? You know what, if I just produce some fruit for God,

3:35 If I just do something for the Lord, maybe some you know, when

3:38 I get some time, just do some ministry, you go to church or

3:40 something something like that, that's enough. That fruit is enough. How can

3:46 you say that? Because God is saying, if you don't bear good fruit,

3:52 you will be cut off. Doing ministry. As much as you want

3:57 to, it's not enough. You have to be somebody who bears good fruit.

4:04 I want to ask you this question today. Are you bearing good fruit?

4:09 It's not enough to just bear some fruit? Are you bearing good fruit?

4:15 And you may say, John, but that's too much. I'm doing

4:17 so much. Listen, you know one of the things I apeways say,

4:20 Ministry is not what you do for God. Ministry is what God wants to

4:27 do through you. I say that again. Ministry is not what you do

4:30 for God. Ministry is what God wants to do through you. And how

4:36 would you bear that fruit? Is not by you trying to make it happen,

4:42 by you trying to produce the fruit. You have to get to that

4:46 place, yes, John fifteen, verse five, where Jesus says, I'm

4:50 the wine, You're the branches. If you remain in me and I in

4:56 you, you will bear much fruit. A part from me, you can

5:00 do nothing. If you remain in Me and I remain in you, you

5:05 will bear much fruit. You want to bear good fruit. You want to

5:12 bear much fruit. I want to ask you this question. Are you just

5:15 trying to produce with your own strength? Are you just trying? Because the

5:19 Bible says, apart from Jesus, you can do nothing if you're trying to

5:24 do this on your own. It's not going to work out. You can

5:27 bear some fruit, but it's not going to be much, and it's not

5:30 going to be good. You know, a lot of times one of the

5:33 reasons I take a break or sometimes I post old messages on the podcast.

5:41 You know, I'm honest in saying that. Sometimes I do that. Not

5:44 all the time, but very rarely I do that. I post old messages

5:48 on the podcast because I don't want to, you know, do something in

5:54 the flesh. I don't want to do something when I'm not in my best

5:58 I don't want to really recent episode that I just do it in, you

6:02 know, with my own, or produce on my own. I want the

6:06 Lord's leaning. And I'm telling you guys, you need to get to the

6:12 place where you're saying, you know what, I don't. I don't want

6:15 to depend on myself. I don't want to just produce on my own.

6:17 I depend on God. I want to be in him. I want to

6:24 remain in Him and I want Him to remain in me so that I will

6:29 bear much fruit. Today, I want to ask you this question. Are

6:33 you abiding in God and they see abiding in you? How is your relationship

6:40 with the Lord. Is it something like more of a ritual in the morning,

6:43 you just for the sake of it, you just read some scriptures,

6:47 or you just pray and then continue the rest of the day on your own.

6:53 Or are you constantly abiding in Him? Are you constantly in you know

6:58 when you say, for example, in the atmosphere, right, like what

7:00 happens, You're You're literally in the atmosphere in the end. Uh, there's

7:08 air and whatever it is, right, the particles and all of that stuff.

7:12 It's it's it's all around you. You're surrounded by it. And when

7:15 you open my mouth, your mouth, maybe some of the particles get into

7:17 your mouth. It's like it's like you're in it. You're you're in it

7:21 completely, and it's in you completely. I just want you to picture like

7:27 that. You need to be surrounded and in God completely and in His presence,

7:35 always aware of His presence, always with Him, constantly fellowship with Him.

7:41 And I'm telling you, from that place you will produce much fruit.

7:46 From that place, when you operate, you will produce good fruit. And

7:51 I pray that you will do that so that you won't be cut off.
