Welcome to Fuel for the Soul with John GIFTA. I wish God would give me clear directions. I wish the God who has called me to do it would at least tell me the details. If he would do it, I would be able to move forward. But I wanted to understand. God did not call you to walk by knowledge. He called you to walk by faith. When you look at Genesis twenty two, a very familiar passage where God is calling Abraham and God is telling Abraham to go and sacrifice his son Isaac. God is asking him to do a very big task, an assignment which involves his emotions, an assignment which involves his mental ability as an assignment which will have a toll on his physical aspect, It will have a toll on his mental aspect, a toll on his emotional aspect.
I'm sure he would have been drained a big task to sacrifice his only son, Isaac. And remember Isaac is not just Abraham's son, right, Isaac is also Sarah's son. Now, imagine what he would tell Sarah. So many questions in his mind. And God was calling Abraham, and God was telling Abraham used this thing, He said to him Abraham. And Abraham replied, here I am. And God said, take your son, your only son, whom you love, Isaac, and go to the region of Morea. Remember a lot of people think that God told him to go to a mountain called Moriah.
No, it doesn't say a mountain called Moriah. It says go to the region of Morea and sacrifice him as a burnt offering on a mountain. If you look at sometimes regions says or one of the mountains which I will tell you, yus the thing God was going to send him out on a very important assignment. God was about to send him out to go and sacrifice his only son, not only his only son, but Sarah's only son, a guy who was already drained physically, emotionally, and mentally. And here he was where God was telling him to go and sacrifice him.
And in that moment, you see God is telling him go to the region of Maria, and he's not even telling him which mountain. Can you imagine that? How do I know if I'm going to climb the right mountain? God, I'm going to obey your voice. I'm going to do something really big. Okay, God, I'm really sacrificing so much in doing what I'm doing. Can't you at least tell me this detail of which mountain I need to climb? Can't you at least give me the direction properly? Can't you at least tell me the details?
But just the thing. God is calling Abraham and God is selling go to the region of Mariah, but God doesn't tell him which mountain. Sometimes in your life, God may give you certain directions, but he won't give you all the directions. He may give you some details, but he's not going to give you all the details. When God called Prophet Samuel in First Samuel time to sixteen to go and annoint the next king for Israel. He gave him the direction, saying, go to the house of Jesse, but God did not tell him with son.
He gave Jesse's name, but he did not give the son's name. He gave him the direction go to the region of Mariah, but he didn't tell them which mountain. Now, for example, when you look at some mountain ranges like Himalayas. Right when you look at Himalayas. I was just going through this the other day. The mountain range of the Himalayas are spread throughout so many countries. They are there in India, this Himalaya, in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Tibet, Nepal, China. I mean, like I think six countries or something either spread through such a vast area.
But here was God telling him go to the region of Maria because there is a mountain range. Like you say, the Himalayas. There is a mountain range that is in this place. And God is saying go to the region of Maria. It's like saying, Okay, I want you to climb out of one of the mountains in the Himalayas, but I want to make it easy for you. Go to the region of the Himalayas in India called Kashmir, or it may give you some detail. Go to the region of the Himalayas in Nepal or something, some region, but it looks like okay, at least he's given some directions so that you can move and that.
But when you go, you realize that that area is filled with mountains. Imagine God tells you climb one of the mountains in the region of Cashmir in India, in the Himalayas. The first question you would ask is which mountain? Lord? I mean, I've been to that place, and I know everywhere you look. Everywhere you look mountains and mountains and mountains. When you're flying over that place, you know the place is filled with mountains. Though, if God would tell me go to the region of Cashmir and climb the mountains, one of the mountains, the first question I'm going to ask is which mountain?
Lord? You're giving me a big assignment, But why can't you at least tell me which mountain. Today you may be in a place where you're asking God, why isn't God giving me all the details? Why aren't you telling me this detailed God? It would be really, really helpful. But that's when you realize God gives you direction for something, but at the same time, in some places is going to let you walk by faith, trusting that this is what God wants you to do. Yes, he's telling Okay, go to the region of Cashman, start climbing the mountain.
So when you go there, what's going to happen is maybe the Lord is going to stir in your spirit to lead you in a certain mountain towards a certain mountain, or maybe there's something that works out, like maybe you're just happy to be next to the right mountain or whatever it is. What I'm trying to say here is this that when God calls you and gives you an assignment, and if he doesn't give you the direction in something, if he doesn't give you a certain element of detail, it means that he trusts that you can take the right step.
If God doesn't v was certain detail, it means that he can trust that you can take the right step. Now, do you know something, When do you think Abraham would have known that he climbed the night mountain? He was doing something really excruciated pain physically, emotionally, mentally, and I'm sure even spiritually. But here's the thing. How do you think Abraham came to know that he was climbing the right mountain? Not when he started climbing it, not when he was halfway through it, Not when he was three foot of the mountain, wild clug going towards the top.
Do you know when he knew he climbed the right mountain? After he climbed the mountain and he was about to plunge to kill his son, the Lord called out and said it was a test, don't kill him. And he looks and he sees a ram. He sees the substitute ram that was supposed to be held as a sacrifice. That ram is the sign that Abraham climb the right mountain. What I want you to know is this important thing that God will have some rams to give you as a sign that you climb the right mountain. But what I want you to know is this.
Imagine Abraham climbed this mountain and then he realized that the ram was in the wrong mountain, and God was like, you climb the wrong mountain, Abraham, Now get down and go to that mountain. That would be really weird, right, But that's why you need to trust that God is not stupid. That's when you need to trust that God is a good God, a loving father, and he knows what's best for you. If he knows that you're climbing the wrong mountain, he's not going to just keep his mouth shut and watch you go.
He's going to give you the signal and say, hey, you're climbing the wrong mountain. Go to that mountain. That's when you need to trust God. If God trusts you that you can take the step, you need to trust him that if you're going in the wrong path, he's going to direct your steps, that he's going to tell you you're going in the wrong path. I believe that either of these two things are possible. If Abraham was going to climb the wrong mountain. Either God would have made Abraham to climb the right mountain by speaking to him the God who spoke to him and said don't even spoken, or even if he climbed the wrong mountain, I believe God would have made the ram to climb the wrong mountain, which will actually make the right mountain.
But God would have made it happen just for Abraham. That's the level of faith I have, and that's the faith you need to have when you start walking by faith that God who called you, he's a faithful God. And if he realizes you're going in the wrong path, he's not going to shut his mountain sit. He's going to ensure either to guide you in the right path or he's going to use that to divert the ram to come to the right mountain. And I want you to have that faith that God is going to make all things beautiful.
He's going to work things out for you. But would you trust and take the step. A lot of people today are just saying, God, give me eight to zid of all the details, then I will go. It's not going to happen. It's never going to happen. God wants you to start with what you have. He wants you to start with the assignment in front of you. He wants you to start with what is available at your disposal. You take the step, God will do the rest. Do you trust him to do that? I want to close with this example from my life.
So when it comes to giving one of my gifts, is like the Lord leads me to give something my watch or running or different things. Over the years, God leads me or money, I just trust and lead is in God's leading, and I gave it. So there was this time when when I bought my first g Shock watch, which I was so excited about, Like I was. I got in through my own salary, so I was so excited. I got my watch. And at one point the Lot told me while I was sitting in church, there was such a strong leading and a hurch God said I want you to give this watch to the past there and I was like, God, are you seriously, I'm not sure if you want me to do that.
I don't know if you heard me right, if I heard you right. And so as I kept speaking in tongues, I was need to speak in tongues, that leading and the urgent became more and more strong. And then so I said, okay, God, anyway, it's not that easy to meet Pastor today. So if at all it works out and I'm able to meet him, then that's a sign that I can meet him and give the watch. Otherwise it's not. But you know it so happened of all days that day, it was the easiest to meet him, and I know that choice.
I was like, okay, fine, you know the Lord is leading me to do this. I'm just giving it to you. And I was so I mean, I felt so heavy because it was so precious to me because I had another watch at home. As God was like, no, I wanted to give what is precious to you, and I was like, okay, God, I just trust you and I did it. And I just come walking out of their place and a random person just comes to me and hands over a silver ring to me and says, the Lord told me to give this to you. That silver ring was the ram for me to show me that what I did was the right thing at that time.
What I wanted to know is that when God asked you to do something, it may look stupid, it may not make sense, but trust him. God is going to bring such rams to show you that you're in the right part. God is going to orchestrate everything in a beautiful the way through those silver ring or whatever to show you, Hey, what you did is right and I'm going to hony you for that. And God is going to definitely honor you when you start walking By faith, Lord, I pray that this world will be a blessing to those watching listening from around the world.
Let them experience the joy that comes in trusting you and walking by faith and not by sight. Let them go in the direction that with the knowledge that you have given them. At the same time, at times when they don't have direction, let them trust you and let them experience that peace that comes with the rams and the rings that you should bring out the show that they're in the right path, that they will know that God is leading them and He is faithful to lead them to their final destination. In Jesus name, I pray Amen.
