0:46 Speaker 2: Hello everyone, Welcome to this edition of the Fuel for the Soul with John Gifta podcast. All through this week we're looking at various aspects on how we as Christian should respond when we see injustices all around us, with all this happening in the nation of India right now and many parts of the world. And also it could be related to just this is happening at workplaces, corporates, business cultures, office cultures, or it could be in the neighborhood, ministry, family anywhere for that matter.

1:15 Speaker 2: And today I want to talk about something very very important because I believe this is the most important aspect of all that I've shared in the last couple of days. I really challenge you to go back and check them out because I believe there's so much to unpack and learn and make sure that you are responding the way God wants you to respond. And the most important aspect of this is that you actually act on what the Lord wants you to do. See, one of the things that's shared is don't turn a blind eye.

1:44 Speaker 2: You got to pray, you have to be sensitive to the needs of people, you have to speak up, you have to probably be in that place where you're vocal about things. All of that is there, but you need to act. So when you think about Dave when he saw that there was injustice, when there was an enemy called Goliath who was taunting the people in the nation, David didn't just say hey, guys, I'm so sorry and just just leave. He didn't turn a blind eye. He was not looking at injustice and just acting like it's not my problem because it was not his problem.

2:21 Speaker 2: In reality, right, a lot of people, even if it's the problem, they act like it's not the problem. But David realized that this is not his problem, but he just could not resist not acting on it. David fought for a nation that did not even know him. People did not even know him. See, this is an important aspect I wanted to understand. Okay, the Bible says in two Timothy, chapter two, verse four that no one serving a soldier gets entangled in civilian affairs, but rather tries to please his commanding officer.

2:54 Speaker 2: Okay, now this may seem like an arbitrary passage, but I wanted to understand something very important here. The Bible is telling us that you and I are soldiers of the Lord Jesus Christ, which means that a soldier will not be entangled in civilian fairs. Which means that a soldier will not just worry about themselves. A soldier will fight for people that the soldier doesn't even know, or the people may not even know that. A soldier fights for the kingdom, not for himself. A soldier fights for the king, not for himself.

3:27 Speaker 2: A soldier fights for the people, not for himself. And today you and I, as believers in Christ, are soldiers of the Lord Jesus Christ, which means that you and I are called to fight for the people. Fight for the Kingdom of God, fight for our King of kings and the Lord of Lords, and stop fighting just for our own stuff. I need my promotion, I need justice in my life. I need this thing to turn around. It's all about themselves. A lot of people are living a life where it's all about themselves. Me and my household, me and me, and me and me all the time.

4:03 Speaker 2: But my question is, as a soldier of the Lord Jesus Christ, you are called to have a different goal, not to get entangled in just me and my own civilian life, but to be in a place where I'm saying I'm gonna fight for people that I may or may not know, or I'm gonna fight for people who may not even know me. I don't care because I'm not fighting to get their recognition or the reward from them. I'm fighting because my heart is to say people. So, when you see injustice happening in the country, you see injustice happening in your society, you see injustice happening in your neighborhood, you see injustice happening in your workplace or even in your family, are you just going to turn a blind eye or are you going to be someone who's gonna be that one like David saying, you know what, I'm gonna take action.

4:56 Speaker 2: I'm going to act on this. I'm gonna do something about this. A soldier is not going to just be entangled in his own stuff. He's going to fight for his nation. If you say you're a believer in Christ, the soldier of the Lord Jesus Christ, you've got to fight for the Kingdom of God. You see injustice, you see policies that are against the standard of God's word. You can't just be quiet. You got to stand up, fight, stand up, speak up. Now. Am I saying you all have to go and protest. Am I saying you've got to go and stand in the election?

5:31 Speaker 2: I'm not saying that. Fight means in different ways. It can be using something as simple as all you have is your phone and you have influence on your social media or on your WhatsApp status is or you have like one hundred WhatsApp groups that you're a part of, and you got to just share something. If the Lord is leading you to do that, it could be a small start. Can you be faithful to do that? Sometimes God is not going to ask you to defeat a goliath. Sometimes he's just gonna ask you to be faithful in protecting the little that you have.

6:09 Speaker 2: I don't know how many if you know this. As much as I've preached to crowds of thousands in one go, there are times I've preached to one or two people, or even on a week to week basis, I teach the kids at church, which is just hardly ten children. But the truth of the matter is this that you know what. You gotta have that heart to invest, even if it's just few. But you look at it as you know what. This is my sphere of influence, and I'm going to act on this. I'm gonna build the kingdom this way. This is the way the Lord is leading me to.

6:47 Speaker 2: Don't be scared. Don't fear because when you have to do the thing for the Lord, it may be scary, or what if you come under the rider of the government. So why be bold and courageous to be firm on doing what God is leading you to do. For instance, I'm ministered in places where it has been pretty scary and risky. I even shared with you that two weeks ago I happened to travel to

7:24 Speaker 2: northern northeastern part of India to one of those states and ministered, and there were many people who got healed. There were some people who got instant in league. Some people got healing afterwards and they shared the testimony. There were many healings. But before I went, one of the things that I was told was this state has a law against praying for healing. They said, it's an anti healing state. Or they have a law in that past in that state. So if you pray openly for healing, they can it's an nonvailable offense and you will be imprisoned with no way out.

8:04 Speaker 2: That's the state. It's not easy. In fact, I go to a place like that and you know, I see the sick people and I just pray and the Lord is healed. You know what I mean. See, I'm telling you, if the Lord leads you to do certain things, even if it's risky, even if it means you're putting your life on the line, you should still do it because if God has called you to do is he is faithful to lead you out through it. I remember going to another place to minister. The first thing I hear when a land is I hope nothing happens because it's very risky.

8:44 Speaker 2: But you see, if you want to play it safe, you can't be a Christian. If you want to be a true, living Christian, you've got to be in the place where you're saying, you know what, I'm going to act on what the Lord is asking me to do. And God is not always going to ask you to defeat goliaths and giants. Sometimes he's going to ask you to do simple things. Post this, share this with someone, or talk to this person. Could be something small, but maybe that small thing can bring about a huge difference.
