0:53 it's wonderful for me to be here back on this edition of the Fuel

0:56 for the Soul with John gift of podcast. It's awesome because stepping into the

1:00 Christmas season, we're thinking about the passages and the Word of God concerning Christmas,

1:04 and one of the things that a lot of people remember is a moment

1:07 when an Angel of the Lord appears to Mary and says, you know that

1:11 you're gonna bear the son of the Living God. You're gonna you know,

1:15 you know you're gonna give birth to the Savior of the world. And you

1:21 know, so on and so forth. And it's interesting that Mary comes down

1:25 to this one statement that is so powerful when you look at Luke chapter one,

1:30 verse thirty six, and I'm reading to you from the Nalty version,

1:33 and this is what it says. Mary responded, I am the Lord's servant.

1:37 May everything you have said about me come true? And then the angel

1:41 left her. She says, I'm the Lord's servant. Let it be done

1:46 according to your word. Now, what I wanted to understand is a lot

1:49 of people look at this and say, see, Mary is giving herself into

1:53 the Lord's hands, into what God's will for her life is, and she

1:57 is just obedient, and she's just accepting it as a whole. And you

2:00 know what, I'm also going to do the same. But what I want

2:02 you to understand is as much as it sounds as easy to say yes to

2:07 God's call, yes to God's planned, yes to God's purpose over our lives,

2:09 but there's also a place you need to understand that this did not come

2:14 without any trouble. Mary went through a lot of trouble because she was wondering

2:17 how she could convey this message to Joseph. He didn't believe her right away.

2:23 In fact, the scripture talks about how he was trying to, you

2:27 know, slowly get out of this wedding. You know, before getting married

2:31 to Mary, you know, he didn't believe her. And I'm sure that

2:37 she would have gone through a lot of controversy about this because you see,

2:39 not everybody's going to believe you know what you're saying, that you betting a

2:45 child without knowing a man. This is a mission impossible. This does not

2:49 make sense. This is never done before, and it's just not going to

2:52 happen. You are crazy, You are stupid. You think you can fool

2:55 as you think that you know what, God did this? Oh my gosh,

3:00 I don't believe in your God, you know. Can I tell you

3:01 something? She had to deal with a lot of controversy, She had to

3:06 deal with a lot of shame. She had to deal with the fact that

3:08 some people are just never going to understand her. Can I tell you something?

3:13 When you say yes to God's call, it's not going to be just

3:15 easy PC all the time. Not everybody's going to support you, Not everybody's

3:20 going to cheer you, or not everybody is going to stand by you.

3:23 Not everybody's going to understand you. But that's why you need to say.

3:25 You know what, I don't care what whether other people are standing by me,

3:29 but I'm going to still choose to do what God wants me to do.

3:32 Because when I tell people all the time, you know, you need

3:35 to go after the things that God has called you to do, they say,

3:37 you know what, John, you don't understand that. My family doesn't

3:39 understand. They're not supportive, or I don't have friends. They all run

3:43 away, they think I'm crazy. They do things that I've lost my mind

3:45 because you know, I believe this is what God wants me to do.

3:47 I believe this is what the Lord has been speaking over my life. I

3:51 believe this is the Lord dealing with me or leading me and directing my steps.

3:54 But I just can't wrap my head autnd this because these people are just

3:58 not accepting it. I'm going through a lot of things because of this,

4:02 John, Can I tell you something, guys, saying yes to God's call

4:06 is not going to be easy. I'm not running this ministry. I'm not,

4:11 you know, having a full time job running the ministry, the podcast,

4:15 YouTube channel, all of these things which different things start to do.

4:17 I'm not doing this because it's easy. I'm not doing this because I have

4:20 a lot of people who are supporting me and cheating me on. I've gone

4:24 through a position and I constantly go through a lot of those things in and

4:28 through my life. But here's the thing. I'm not doing this because it's

4:30 easy. I'm doing this because this is the right thing to do. And

4:33 today that's my challenge. Stop going the easy way and say, you know

4:38 what, I want to do what God wants me to do. I want

4:41 to take up the step that God wants me to take, and I'm going

4:43 to move in the direction that God wants me to go. And I'm telling

4:46 you, when you say yes to God's call, He's gonna honor you.

4:48 He's going to all bless you, and you will definitely reap the blessing of

4:54 saying yes to God's call over your life and you will have the satisfying life

4:59 that God wants to give over you. Emmen, God bless you. You've
