0:49 Speaker 2: Hello everyone, Welcome to this edition of the Fuel for the Soul with John gift podcast. As we step into this Christmas season here, as we start December, we get into that mode of you know, like, oh, I feel very Christmasy and all of those things. I just want to just share something with you guys, you know, in the next couple of days, and I really challenge you to, you know, wherever you're listening to me from, I challenge you to say about a prayer for me and the podcast, because this year has been a really, really rough roller coaster.

1:25 Speaker 2: Write for me, but at the same time, you know, God has enabled me to, you know, somehow manage maneuver through this year. I'll talk about what happened maybe when the time is right, but I really encourage you to pray and in whatever capacity you can, you know, like continue to listen to these podcasts or checking out my daily content on Instagram and following up on Instagram or on YouTube and all of those things. I really recommend you to do that as well. So, because of some technical issues, even though I want to do this daily, there's some issue or the other that's cropping up.

2:07 Speaker 2: But I want to come back to the daily version of the podcast very soon, and I really recommend that you know, you in what about capacity, you know, if you've been blessed by this ministry, would lot of support financially or in any other capacity other ways. It would be really helpful as well. So first, first of all, I want to start up by sharing with you guys, you know, as we step into the season of Advent and Christmas and all of these things. I know you might have seen the title of the sermon is being confused and disturbed, you know, and you're like, what's that got to do?

2:44 Speaker 2: With Christmas, and I'm going to talk to you today, and I believe that it's going to be a powerful revelation from God's word. And I'm going to talk to you. From Luke chapter one and verse twenty eight onwards. Gabriel, the Angel appears to Mary okay and reads her and I'm reading to you from the Nalty version, all right, saying Greeting's favored woman. The Lord is with you. Verse twenty nine. I want you to pay attention to this, it says, Confused and disturbed Mary, try to think what the angel could mean.

3:22 Speaker 2: I think this is a worse some of you need to underline in your Bible. Confused and disturbed, Mary, try to think what the angel could mean. Verse thirty. Don't be afraid, Mary, the Angel told her, for you have found favor with God. And then the Angel gives the information to Mary about how she will conceive through the part of the Holy Spirit and give birth to her son named Jesus, and so on and so forth. So now I want you to just focus on verse twenty nine, confused and disturbed, maybe to think what the angel could mean.

4:02 Speaker 2: Now I want you to understand something here, right, The angel starts the conversation by saying Creating's favored woman. The Lord is with you, okay. And before the Angel could continue the conversation, the Bible says Mary was confused and disturbed, and she tried to think what the angel could mean. See, I want you to understand something here. This is so important, guys, this is so important. Right. The reason why many of us are confused and disturbed is because instead of waiting on the Lord to finish talking, we start thinking about what he started talking about.

4:44 Speaker 2: I hope you getting what I'm saying. The Angel intended to tell Mary the whole plan what is going to happen, But before the Angel could finish talking, Mary started thinking about things by herself. It says, maybe try to think what the angel could mean without asking like, okay, can you explain better? Can you tell me what does this mean? She started thinking what it meant. See, I want you to understand. See. There are two sides to this right. One side where people are reading, oh, I want a set of the details.

5:19 Speaker 2: I want everything in the plan. Then I'm going to start, you know. Then I will trust God, then I will believe, then I will obey. That's one group, But there's another group which God starts saying, you know what, I want you to pay attention to me. I have called you for example, right if God says to you, I have called you, right, And then what they do is without waiting for God to give them some more information on what he wants them to do, like what does he want you to do? They start running on their own.

5:52 Speaker 2: You get what I'm saying. See that is why here You see that before the Angel finished giving the old information, Mary started thinking on her own. See that's why the Bible says lean not on your own understanding. Right. A lot of us we say, oh, you know what, I need to trust God. I need to obey. Yes, you need to be radical, you need to obey. But there's also a place where you need to be synced with God to a point where you are not thinking on your own own. But you are in a place where you wait for God to finish giving you the full instruction whatever he intends to give you.

6:34 Speaker 2: See, I'm not saying he's going to give you eighty s out of the information, but there is something more he wants to give you so that you will get started. But the reason why nothing is working for you the reason why you're stuck, the reason why you are disturbed, the reason why you're confused is because instead of waiting for God to complete the whole information, you started out on your own. You started thinking on your own. You are not paying attention to him. You're not trying to say, Okay, God, is there something else that you need to tell me before I get started?

7:07 Speaker 2: You know, See, if somebody comes and gives me an instruction, John, can you make this kind of a video. Can you help out in this activity in the workplace? Can you do this at church or something? You know, The first question I do is like, okay, sure, can you give me some more information? Can you tell me all the information that you need to give me before I get started? Because I don't want to spend you know, several hours and days together on a project and come back and then say, oh, sorry, this is not what I meant at all.

7:39 Speaker 2: You know what I mean? See, that's that's an important lesson to learn this day. This even as we step into Christmas, even as we move in this direction of adwind and learning different things from you know, the initial segment of the Gospels talking about Jesus and birth and all of those things I want you to think about this is that I want all of these revelations are powerful from the Word of God, which has to apply to our life. Right. I don't want any of us to read these passages, read these verses thinking, oh, this is just a story of Jesus, this is just you know, the Christmas story.

8:17 Speaker 2: No, I wanted to apply in our life. And that's what will actually make the difference, you know today. That's the reason I'm thinking this podcast in this direction. And I challenge you to check out this podcast on any platform and share it around because I really believe that these revelations will really make a difference in your life, all right, So I challenge you to share this around, and I will challenge you to also connect with me on the other social media platforms, on YouTube and all of these platforms, and let's see what the Lord wants to do.

8:55 Speaker 2: Because a Lord that the Lord has shown me and showing me, and I really want to show those things to you guys, because I believe these are powerful truths and I want you to you don't get to that place where you're saying God, I want to be in a position where I listen to what God is saying, learn from his word and I want to apply it in my life because that's what will really make a difference. So I pray that this word will go forth in the name of Jesus. That if you feel confused, that disturb you feel stuck, you feel like nothing is working out, I want you to just pause and think.

9:34 Speaker 2: I might been thinking about this by myself instead of depending on God to complete the full information he wants to give me. And I believe that is going to change the trajectory of your life. Ahmen, God bless you.
