1:03 Speaker 2: very Christmasy and all of those things. I just want

1:07 Speaker 2: to just share something with you guys, you know, in

1:09 Speaker 2: the next couple of days, and I really challenge you to,

1:13 Speaker 2: you know, wherever you're listening to me from, I challenge

1:18 Speaker 2: you to say about a prayer for me and the podcast,

1:21 Speaker 2: because this year has been a really, really rough roller coaster.

1:25 Speaker 2: Write for me, but at the same time, you know,

1:29 Speaker 2: God has enabled me to, you know, somehow manage maneuver

1:33 Speaker 2: through this year. I'll talk about what happened maybe when

1:38 Speaker 2: the time is right, but I really encourage you to

1:42 Speaker 2: pray and in whatever capacity you can, you know, like

2:30 Speaker 2: as we step into the season of Advent and Christmas

2:35 Speaker 2: and all of these things. I know you might have

2:37 Speaker 2: seen the title of the sermon is being confused and disturbed,

2:42 Speaker 2: you know, and you're like, what's that got to do?

2:44 Speaker 2: With Christmas, and I'm going to talk to you today,

2:48 Speaker 2: and I believe that it's going to be a powerful

2:51 Speaker 2: revelation from God's word. And I'm going to talk to you.

2:54 Speaker 2: From Luke chapter one and verse twenty eight onwards. Gabriel,

2:59 Speaker 2: the Angel appears to Mary okay and reads her and

3:06 Speaker 2: I'm reading to you from the Nalty version, all right,

3:08 Speaker 2: saying Greeting's favored woman. The Lord is with you. Verse

3:13 Speaker 2: twenty nine. I want you to pay attention to this,

3:16 Speaker 2: it says, Confused and disturbed Mary, try to think what

3:21 Speaker 2: the angel could mean. I think this is a worse

3:24 Speaker 2: some of you need to underline in your Bible. Confused

3:29 Speaker 2: and disturbed, Mary, try to think what the angel could mean.

3:33 Speaker 2: Verse thirty. Don't be afraid, Mary, the Angel told her,

3:38 Speaker 2: for you have found favor with God. And then the

3:42 Speaker 2: Angel gives the information to Mary about how she will

3:46 Speaker 2: conceive through the part of the Holy Spirit and give

3:50 Speaker 2: birth to her son named Jesus, and so on and

3:53 Speaker 2: so forth. So now I want you to just focus

3:56 Speaker 2: on verse twenty nine, confused and disturbed, maybe to think

4:00 Speaker 2: what the angel could mean. Now I want you to

4:04 Speaker 2: understand something here, right, The angel starts the conversation by

4:08 Speaker 2: saying Creating's favored woman. The Lord is with you, okay.

4:12 Speaker 2: And before the Angel could continue the conversation, the Bible

4:17 Speaker 2: says Mary was confused and disturbed, and she tried to

4:21 Speaker 2: think what the angel could mean. See, I want you

4:24 Speaker 2: to understand something here. This is so important, guys, this

4:27 Speaker 2: is so important. Right. The reason why many of us

4:32 Speaker 2: are confused and disturbed is because instead of waiting on

4:38 Speaker 2: the Lord to finish talking, we start thinking about what

4:43 Speaker 2: he started talking about. I hope you getting what I'm saying.

4:46 Speaker 2: The Angel intended to tell Mary the whole plan what

4:50 Speaker 2: is going to happen, But before the Angel could finish talking,

4:56 Speaker 2: Mary started thinking about things by herself. It says, maybe

5:01 Speaker 2: try to think what the angel could mean without asking like, okay,

5:06 Speaker 2: can you explain better? Can you tell me what does

5:08 Speaker 2: this mean? She started thinking what it meant. See, I

5:13 Speaker 2: want you to understand. See. There are two sides to

5:15 Speaker 2: this right. One side where people are reading, oh, I

5:17 Speaker 2: want a set of the details. I want everything in

5:20 Speaker 2: the plan. Then I'm going to start, you know. Then

5:24 Speaker 2: I will trust God, then I will believe, then I

5:26 Speaker 2: will obey. That's one group, But there's another group which

5:32 Speaker 2: God starts saying, you know what, I want you to

5:34 Speaker 2: pay attention to me. I have called you for example,

5:36 Speaker 2: right if God says to you, I have called you, right,

5:39 Speaker 2: And then what they do is without waiting for God

5:43 Speaker 2: to give them some more information on what he wants

5:48 Speaker 2: them to do, like what does he want you to do?

5:50 Speaker 2: They start running on their own. You get what I'm saying.

5:53 Speaker 2: See that is why here You see that before the

5:59 Speaker 2: Angel finished giving the old information, Mary started thinking on

6:03 Speaker 2: her own. See that's why the Bible says lean not

6:06 Speaker 2: on your own understanding. Right. A lot of us we say, oh,

6:11 Speaker 2: you know what, I need to trust God. I need

6:13 Speaker 2: to obey. Yes, you need to be radical, you need

6:15 Speaker 2: to obey. But there's also a place where you need

6:19 Speaker 2: to be synced with God to a point where you

6:22 Speaker 2: are not thinking on your own own. But you are

6:27 Speaker 2: in a place where you wait for God to finish

6:30 Speaker 2: giving you the full instruction whatever he intends to give you. See,

6:34 Speaker 2: I'm not saying he's going to give you eighty s

6:36 Speaker 2: out of the information, but there is something more he

6:39 Speaker 2: wants to give you so that you will get started.

6:42 Speaker 2: But the reason why nothing is working for you the

6:45 Speaker 2: reason why you're stuck, the reason why you are disturbed,

6:48 Speaker 2: the reason why you're confused is because instead of waiting

6:52 Speaker 2: for God to complete the whole information, you started out

6:57 Speaker 2: on your own. You started thinking on your own. You

7:00 Speaker 2: are not paying attention to him. You're not trying to say, Okay, God,

7:04 Speaker 2: is there something else that you need to tell me

7:06 Speaker 2: before I get started? You know, See, if somebody comes

7:10 Speaker 2: and gives me an instruction, John, can you make this

7:12 Speaker 2: kind of a video. Can you help out in this

7:15 Speaker 2: activity in the workplace? Can you do this at church

7:18 Speaker 2: or something? You know, The first question I do is like, okay, sure,

7:21 Speaker 2: can you give me some more information? Can you tell

7:24 Speaker 2: me all the information that you need to give me

7:26 Speaker 2: before I get started? Because I don't want to spend

7:31 Speaker 2: you know, several hours and days together on a project

7:34 Speaker 2: and come back and then say, oh, sorry, this is

7:37 Speaker 2: not what I meant at all. You know what I mean? See,

7:41 Speaker 2: that's that's an important lesson to learn this day. This

7:45 Speaker 2: even as we step into Christmas, even as we move

7:48 Speaker 2: in this direction of adwind and learning different things from

7:51 Speaker 2: you know, the initial segment of the Gospels talking about

7:56 Speaker 2: Jesus and birth and all of those things I want

7:59 Speaker 2: you to think about this is that I want all

8:01 Speaker 2: of these revelations are powerful from the Word of God,

8:03 Speaker 2: which has to apply to our life. Right. I don't

8:08 Speaker 2: want any of us to read these passages, read these

8:11 Speaker 2: verses thinking, oh, this is just a story of Jesus,

8:14 Speaker 2: this is just you know, the Christmas story. No, I

8:18 Speaker 2: wanted to apply in our life. And that's what will

8:22 Speaker 2: actually make the difference, you know today. That's the reason

8:27 Speaker 2: I'm thinking this podcast in this direction. And I challenge

9:16 Speaker 2: word and I want to apply it in my life

9:19 Speaker 2: because that's what will really make a difference. So I

9:22 Speaker 2: pray that this word will go forth in the name

9:24 Speaker 2: of Jesus. That if you feel confused, that disturb you

9:28 Speaker 2: feel stuck, you feel like nothing is working out, I

9:32 Speaker 2: want you to just pause and think. I might been

9:35 Speaker 2: thinking about this by myself instead of depending on God

9:40 Speaker 2: to complete the full information he wants to give me.

9:44 Speaker 2: And I believe that is going to change the trajectory
