0:57 when he wants to speak to us and he wants to lead us and guide

1:00 us and every step along the way, that is something that most of us

1:03 would desire. Most of us would say, Yes, I don't want to

1:06 just go on my own way. I want the law to lead me,

1:08 direct my steps. I want to walk in the spirit. I want to

1:12 see that the Spirit of God is directing me, leading me, cudding me,

1:17 empowering me, teaching me. And I want to go in that direction.

1:19 But one of the biggest hurdles that we face is the fact that sometimes

1:23 you know, our own mind, our own reasoning, our own you know,

1:27 this intellectual capabilities come along and become a hurdle for us. You know.

1:34 See, don't get me wrong, I'm not saying be stupid. I'm

1:37 not saying do something. You know, like since people go the other extreme

1:42 where they just do something terribly wrong and stupid without getting godly counsel, without

1:48 thinking, you know, or using the senses that God has given them,

1:51 in spite of the red flags that God is throwing. They're just blindly saying,

1:55 you know, I think this is God, and they just go and

1:56 then they get into trouble and then they put God in a bad spot.

2:00 That's another extreme. But at the same time you need to understand that,

2:02 you know, when you walk by faith, that's the kind of life that

2:06 God wants us to live, right, you know, it's impossible to please

2:09 God without faith, and it's all the Bible also say walk by faith and

2:13 not by sight. Don't go by what you see, don't go by what

2:15 you feel, don't go by the logical senses, but go to a place

2:20 where when you know this is what the Lord is asking you to do trust

2:23 in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding problems

2:27 up to three verse five and six. Acknowledge Him in all your ways,

2:30 and He will direct yourselfs. This is something that needs to be our part

2:32 and parcel of our life. A lot of people, without a doubt know

2:36 the Scripture. They don't. They have probably memorize this so many times,

2:42 maybe all through Sunday school or wherever you learned all of these things. But

2:45 some of you know it, but in reality does it not your life.

2:49 I know a lot of people who keep arguing and you know, waste all

2:53 the time and energy and debates and all of those things where they're like,

2:55 you know what, they just completely neglect the aspect of faith, and their

3:00 entire life is all about their own intellectual being. It's all about their reasoning

3:06 and their logic. Kind of where you get apologetics and all of these things

3:09 from. Okay, I'll tell you what. There is a place for apologetics,

3:14 There is a place for reasoning and logic and all of those things.

3:16 But by the end of the day, you need to understand that. You

3:19 know, when God asks you to do something, you need to get to

3:22 a place where you just switch off your mind. I just say this very

3:25 respectfully. Don't get me wrong, but when God asks you to do something,

3:30 I'll give you an example. Right when you look at our father of

3:34 a faith, Abraham, and I'm reading to you from the amplified Classic version

3:38 of Hebrews eleven, was saying, this is what it says, urged on

3:42 by faith, Abraham when he was called, obeyed and went forth to a

3:46 place which he was destined to receive us an inheritance. And he went although

3:52 he did not know or trouble his mind about where he was going. The

3:55 Bible is very clear he did not know where he was going, and he

3:59 did not even trouble is mind about it. You know. In other words,

4:02 you need to understand when God is leading you or directing your steps,

4:06 there's a place you go to where you switch off your mind. You don't

4:10 trouble your mind. You even if it doesn't make sense in the natural,

4:13 just forget about it. Follow what God is asking you to do. You

4:17 have to get to the place of absolute trust in the Lord, absolute reliance

4:21 and confidence knowing that you know what, I'm not going to lean on my

4:26 own understanding I'm not going to lean on my own wisdom. I'm not going

4:29 to lean on my own experience. I'm not going to lean on my own,

4:32 you know, intellectual capability because I get to that place where I trust

4:38 in the Lord with all my heart, with all my mind, with all

4:41 my soul. Can you get to a place where you trust God so much?

4:46 And I'm not preaching to you from a place of theory now. When

4:49 the Lord asked me to start the International Ministry, John Gifts International Ministries where

4:54 the Race of God. In about two to three weeks from now, we're

4:57 going to can uh, you know, come to the eleventh anniversary of the

5:00 ministry. Eleven years of the ministry. And right on day one when the

5:06 Lord said start in international Ministry, I took it by faith and I called

5:10 it John Gift International. Right on day one. I didn't even trouble my

5:14 mind about it. People laugh, people more, people said call it international

5:17 after it becomes international. But that's not faith. Anybody can do that.

5:24 Faith is calling it what God says it is even before it has become a

5:29 reality. Because that is the level of faith and trust I have on what

5:32 the Lord has spoken. That is the level of faith. I'm asking you

5:35 to go to a place where when God has spoken it, even if there

5:40 is no sign of it, have faith because when God says it is,

5:44 it is already done. You may take some time for it to become a

5:49 reality, but you have to get to that place where you know what,

5:54 I'm not going to trouble my mind. People said all sorts of things to

5:57 discourage. There's Christians people even in like ministrial positions, they say, Ah,

6:03 it's not international, it's not going to be international. You just think

6:06 this, blah blah blah blah blah. People can say all sorts of things

6:10 to discourage. People can say all sorts of things to keep you down.

6:15 People may say, are you sure you heard God? People may say,

6:19 you know, like a lot of naysayers and critics and all of these things.

6:24 Over the years, I've faced and I've seen all of those things,

6:27 and I can tell you this. You know, Abraham could have felt the

6:30 same. His own family members could have said, hey, you have everything

6:33 here, man, why are you leaving and going to this unknown God?

6:38 Because Abraham's family they were they were actually moon worshipers. They didn't know the

6:42 true living God. Abraham was the first one who actually came to know the

6:45 true living God, so he could have had that pressure. Where are you

6:49 going? I do know, Oh you're stupid, you're dumb, But can

6:55 you get to that place where even though people laugh at you market you,

6:59 you still say, I'm going to follow what God has asked me to do.

7:01 I'm going to go after the things God has put in my heart because

7:04 I know that He is faithful, the one who has called me. I'm

7:10 going to walk by faith and not by sight. That is the level of

7:15 faith. I'm asking you to go to whatever God has called you to do,

7:17 wherever God is leading you, whatever it is, get to that place

7:23 where when God is asking you, when God is speaking to you, just

7:28 go to that place where you don't just sit and reason out. No,

7:32 I'll tell you honestly, you know I could just have sat and reasoned out

7:36 you know God. You know I don't have any international contact, I don't

7:40 have anything like you know. I don't have the support, I don't have

7:43 the training, I don't have the finance, I don't have this. I

7:45 don't have that. I can give all the reasons to God and say it's

7:47 not going to work out. God, it's not going to happen. But

7:53 you know, faith is taking the mind off, not troubling my mind.

7:58 I don't know how it's going to happen even now. Yes, the ministry

8:01 has grown considerably compared to where it was eleven years ago, but it's not

8:05 where God has shown me the level that God has shown me. And even

8:09 now, I don't know how it's going to happen. And that is the

8:13 sense of faith or level of you know, a degree of trust upon the

8:18 Lord. You go to where you're saying, you know what, even if

8:20 I don't know how it's going to happen, that's still a place where you're

8:24 saying, I still trust my God because I know he's faithful. I want

8:30 you to guys, to understand God's word is unchangeable. You've God has spoken

8:35 it, if God has given you the promise, if God has deposited those

8:39 visions and dreams and calling upon your life, he is going to make it

8:43 happen. You don't know how it's going to happen. You don't have to

8:46 trouble your mind about it. He knows how to make it happen. And

8:50 I pray in the name of Jesus that this word will go forth and it'll

8:54 minister to each one of you and challenge you to step out of your boat

9:00 and start walking by faith. Don't trouble your mind, don't let reason and

9:05 logic come along the way. Get to the place where I say, I'm

9:09 going to go after what God has called me, and I'm going to go

9:11 by faith. And I'm telling you right on day one, and I called

9:15 it John Gifts International Everything when we were registering the organization. You know,

9:20 the faith, the Lord lad in every step along the way. God has

9:22 been faithful. When you go by faith, people can laugh and mock initially,

9:28 but you will see the hand of God, the leading of God,

9:33 the guidance of God leading you to your final destination. Amen, God bless
