Why GOD’s Timing Looks Different for Everyone | You Are Not Behind | John Giftah | Christian Sermon
Tonight's Episode
Do you feel like life is passing you by while everyone else hits their milestones? In this opening episode of our special series, "You Are Not Behind," on the Fuel for the Soul with John Giftah Podcast, we tackle the root of comparison: the lie that there is a single "correct" schedule for success.By comparing the "too late" miracle of Zechariah and Elizabeth with the "too early" calling of Mary, we see that GOD does not use a one-size-fits-all clock. Your timeline is not a reflection of your worth—it is a reflection of GOD’S specific purpose for you. If you’ve been feeling disappointed or delayed, this message will help you shift your perspective from the world’s frantic pace to GOD’S perfect peace.
In this sermon, you’ll learn:
The Individual Clock: Why GOD’S schedule for your neighbor has nothing to do with His plan for you.
The Mary vs. Elizabeth Contrast: Lessons from the extremes of "too young" and "too old."
The Time Zone Revelation: How to live in your divine time zone without looking at the world’s clock.
Purpose Over Pace: Why some callings require a longer season of hiddenness and preparation in JESUS CHRIST.

Speaker 1: Welcome to Fuel for the Soul with John GIFTA.
Speaker 2: Hey, do you feel like your life is going behind schedule? You feel like everybody else is passing by. You feel like you're stuck. You feel like there's some form of a delay in your life, maybe in some area of to your career, your finance, your wedding, your personal goals or aspirations, your ministry, you're calling, your business, whatever, beit. I want you to hold your horses because I wanted to understand all through this week. We're going to do a special series of sermons where I want to address various aspects that will enable you to be strengthened to believe from the word that you are not behind.
Speaker 2: I want you to get this into your spirit. You are not behind. See today, I'm going to talk about an important lesson that we can take away from Louke chapter one. When you look at Luke chapter one, it talks about two different cases of babies being born. One is that of Zachariah and Elizabeth and the other is of Mary and Joseph. One is of John the Baptist and the other is of Jesus. You gotta understand this is an element of communality between both the cases. In Bortal called Angel Gabriel visits the respect to parents.
Speaker 2: For example, in case of Zacharay and Elizabeth, the Angel visits Zachariah. In case of Mary and Joseph, the Angel Gabriel visits Mary and says you are going to bear a child, and both of them respond with the same question, how is this possible? How is this possible?
Speaker 1: You know why?
Speaker 2: Because in the case of Zacharay and Elizabeth, they were way too old. It felt like in the natural there was no way out, whereas when you look at Mary and Joseph, it was too early for that to happen. Why because they were not even married. You have to understand something very important to your right. Both of them have the same response, how is this possible? It's either too late in one case or it's too early in the other. But what I want you to understand is this important truth right in both the cases, exactly how the word of the Lord came it happened.
Speaker 2: Now, this is what I wanted to understand. Both we're dealing with the aspect of having kids. One felt it was too late, the other felt it was too early. It was not possible in both the cases. But the truth of the matter is what God has purposed will come to pass, whether it happens early or it happens too late. See, this is what I want you to understand. That if you feel like you're well ahead, or you feel like it's too late, you feel like it's never going to happen, you feel like just giving it up, you feel like this is a delay that looks like it's a denial.
Speaker 2: I want you to understand what God has planned, what God has purposed over your life. Nothing can stop what God has in store for you. It may feel like it's never going to happen, It may feel like it's too early to happen. It may feel like you lost it, it may feel like you messed up, it may feel like you're rushing ahead. But I want you to understand. The minute you realize that God's timing is different and unique for each individual, you will stop hustling and start trusting. Today. This is a wake up call for some of you.
Speaker 2: Maybe you feel like Zacharai and Elizabeth, where you feel like it's too late. This is a reminder if God has said it, it's going to happen, even if it looks like it's too late. Or maybe it's a reminder for you like Mary and Joseph. You're saying this is too early for that to happen. It's not the time. Maybe I need to wait longer. Maybe the Lord is stirring something in you, your spirit and saying, no, my time for you is not late, but my time for you is much earlier than when it should idly be. See, I want you to trust the timing of God.
Speaker 2: God's timing is unique for each individual. God's plan is different for each individual. So instead of trying to get into that rhythm that you think is said by the world, and the society, your family expectations, and your career goals, and what you think is the normal rhythm of life. I'm challenging you to trust God's timing over your life. See. One of the things we often talk about is say yes to God's will. We say yes, you have to say yes to God's plan and purpose. We keep challenging everyone, or who might challenge yourself, say you know what, Lord, not my will, but let your will be done.
Speaker 2: Yes, we say that, right. But one of the important aspects that you need to remember about saying yes to God's will is when you say yes to God's will, you should also say yes to God's timing over your life. See. Whenever I travel out of India, one of the first things that they always ask us to do is to set the time to the time of the nation that I'm traveling to. If I'm in India and I'm traveling to Singapore, the first thing you do is you set the time on your watch. Of course, this is a smart words so you don't have the habit of doing it.
Speaker 2: But if it's an analog quatch, you set the time to the time in Singapore and you start thinking in accordance to the timing in Singapore. But imagine I go to Singapore and try to live in Indian time. It's going to look foolish. It's going to be like, you know what, I'm supposed to be ready, but I'm not ready because I'm still living in Indian time. I'm behind schedule. Or imagine I go to London and I'm trying to live by Indian time. I will be getting ready when I'm actually supposed to be getting my sleep.
Speaker 2: You know what I mean. So what I wanted to understand is the way you go to a certain place and adapt to that timing. When you say yes to God's plan, you need to adapt to God's timing. God's timing is different for different people. God's timing is unique in your individual case. So instead of trying to just allow society to pressure you into a mold, instead of allowing the pressure from family, instead of allowing the pressure from your peers and looking at everybody else getting ahead, why didn't you say, God, help me to say yes to what is your timing over my life.
Speaker 2: Help me to stick to what is your plan so that I will go in pace and in sync with your spirits. Leading over my life when you do that, just like God did for Zacharai and Elizabeth, just like he did for Mary and Joseph, just like the way we sink with the timing of the country that we land in. I challenge you that when you say yes to God's plan and walk in his timing, things will start falling in place. You will realize that, you know what, nothing was working outside of God's timing, but at God's timing, everything was starting to work.
Speaker 2: Here's the thing I always love to say. You know, when it's not God's timing, everything will fall apart. But when it's God's timing, everything will fall in place. So today I challenge you to trust God and say, God, I trust your timing, and I try your way, and I trust y'all leading over my life, even if it looks stupid or foolish in the sight of the world, because I know that you will make all things beautiful in your glorious time. I really challenge you to leave a comment if you're checking this out on YouTube or Facebook, and share this with someone and I will see you back next time.
Speaker 2: God bless you.
