0:48 one of the questions that a lot of people ask time in and time out

0:51 is John, why did God close this door? I've been asking God to

0:55 open this door. I've been praying about this. I've been asking him to

0:58 make a move. I'm asking him to show up and show out in the

1:02 area of my career, show up and show out in my relationships, show

1:04 up and show out in regard to my ministry, my calling, my business,

1:10 in some area of my life. But why is it that I'm seeing

1:12 closed doors? Why did God shut that door? Things were going fine,

1:17 Things seemed like everything was working out, but what suddenly turned around? And

1:22 I don't know why God is not answering my prayers. Are you asking this

1:27 question today? Are you in a place where you're wondering why did God shut

1:32 the door? Can I tell you something to the Saints of God? Are

1:34 you beating yourself and saying, maybe I did something wrong? Maybe this because

1:38 of my mistakes or my sins of not doing something or doing something that I

1:42 should have done, or do saying something I shouldn't have said, that's what

1:46 brought me here. But I'm here to tell you something there, Saints of

1:48 God. Yes, there is a path to where you need to introspect and

1:52 check if you are where God wants you to be, if you are in

1:55 line or in the place where you are sinked with what God wants you to

1:59 have. But I'm here to tell you, when it's all said and done,

2:01 you can never be beyond what God has ordained for your life. And

2:07 sometimes no matter what you do, no matter how hard you work, no

2:12 matter how much you pray, no matter what steps you take, you will

2:15 be in a place where doors are shut. And you may be in a

2:19 place like that today and you're saying why did God shut that door? Why

2:23 did that prayer not get answered? And I want to share two reasons in

2:29 this episode why God shuts doors in our life. And I'm talking to you

2:35 from Genesis, chapter seven, verse sixteen, and it talks about a time

2:38 when God called Noah to build an arc because God wanted to protect Noah and

2:45 his family from the coming destruction the waters rising all over the world. And

2:54 I wanted to understand this is what it says. And a male and female

2:59 of each mind entered just as God commanded Noah, and the Bible says,

3:07 and the Lord closed the door behind them, and the Lord closed the door.

3:12 I want you to understand something, dear scenes of God. It is

3:15 not Noah who closed the door. God closed the door. And you may

3:21 be wondering why did God close the door. God could have said, Noah

3:23 just closed the door. God could have given the keys to Noah. But

3:29 why did God close the door? Use the reason when we look at Noah,

3:34 he was a human like you and me, right, and when you

3:38 see in the scripture the water levels rising and Noah and the family is safe

3:43 inside the ark. There could be two things that could have happened Number one,

3:49 they could have heard the screams of their relatives, their own siblings,

3:54 Noah's siblings, because he did have siblings, but none of them made it

4:00 into that because none of them accepted the message of righteousness that Noah was preaching

4:05 to But Neiver just not repenting. So that's why they were still outside.

4:12 And as a human, he could have heard their screams. And Noah's sons,

4:18 wives, these three girls, their family was still outside. They could

4:24 have heard their screams. They could have said, Hey, that's the scream

4:27 of my dad, that's my sister, that's my mom. Please please,

4:31 Noah opened the door, let them in. You see, Noah could have

4:36 been in that place where has a human He could have said, you know

4:41 what I understand. I think they would have learned their lesson. Let me

4:44 open the door and let them in. And what would have happened. Everybody

4:47 would have rushed into the arc and everyone in the Arcuda sunk. The Arcuda

4:53 sunk because everybody would have tried to get in. What I wanted to understand

4:58 is God closes some doors because he wants to prevent the wrong people from getting

5:03 into your life. He wants to prevent the people who will drown you,

5:10 who will cause you to sink to stepping into your life. So stop getting

5:15 hard on yourself for closing that door. Stop getting hard on yourself because you

5:20 didn't get into that job. Stop getting hard on yourself because that relationship didn't

5:25 work through. Because I want you to understand, God prevented the wrong people

5:30 from stepping in because as a human, he would have said, Hey,

5:33 you know what I feel sad when I hear my own I mean, just

5:36 imagine, Oh my gosh, it's my own mom. Please open the door

5:42 Noah. They could have pressured Noah, or even Noah could have felt like,

5:46 oh my gosh, it's my brother. I love this brother of mine.

5:48 I want to open the door. Maybe he repented, please let me

5:51 open the door. See, that's why God did not want emotions to play

5:58 its role and causing Noah to open the door. See, sometimes God closes

6:02 doors because I've seen a lot of people, especially native relationships, and you

6:06 know, a Christian singles, I've seen this a lot. You know,

6:10 even when God tells them closed this door, when when when it's just within

6:14 their capacity, they try everything under the sun to try to open that door.

6:18 Because emotions are involved. And that's why God is saying today, I

6:24 closed this door because I didn't want you to open out of your emotions.

6:30 I didn't want you to be drowned by the wrong people. And the second

6:34 thing I want you to understand is, you know, through the pandemic,

6:40 when people were all in isolation or social distancing, people were living together in

6:46 their homes. You know, there were so many studies which showed that,

6:49 you know, the number of devostrates increased or relationships store out. Why because

6:55 people staying together there was always going to be some rubbing. You know,

6:59 you can be the best of friends, you love the other person, but

7:02 you know, they can always be disagreements. And many people tend to go

7:08 to the place where they can't stand each other because they want to get out.

7:13 They want to you know, stop seeing the other person, you know

7:16 what I mean. They get so mad. And sometimes I've heard people say,

7:19 you know, you know, and even if I get COVID, it's

7:21 fine, but I'm going to leave this house because I'm fed up of being

7:25 here. You know, you know what I mean. Being in that kind

7:28 of enclosed environment can be as difficult as you can imagine. Many of you

7:35 might have experienced that in your own life. But I want you to understand

7:39 something here. When Noah and the family were inside the art, they could

7:44 have felt the same way. They could have said God arguments, They would

7:47 have had disagreements, they could have fought among each other, because they were

7:51 humans like you and me. You see, even after the you know,

7:56 coming out of the art, there was a moment when there was an argument

7:59 or disagreement and between Noah and his youngest son. So you can imagine that

8:05 there can be disappointments and upsets, and that's that's how relationships are. So

8:11 Noah and his family were inside the ark day in and day out, and

8:16 there was a lot of opportunity for them to have issues in their relationships.

8:20 And somebody could have gone mad. Somebody could have said, you know what,

8:24 it's fine even if I die, It's okay, and I'm getting out

8:28 of this boat. And they gotta opened the door, and they gotta jumped

8:31 out. They gotta taken the key from Noah, so to speak, and

8:35 then just headed off. You know. But because God shut the door,

8:41 even those who were in could not jump out and mess up their destiny.

8:48 The reason God shut the door is not one reason I told you earlier is

8:52 so that the wrong people don't come and drown you. The second reason why

8:56 God shuts the door is because God doesn't want you to be misled. He

9:01 doesn't want you to go off track and sink and drown. Today, I

9:07 want you to understand that God is a good God. He's a loving father.

9:13 He has your best interests at hard. When he shuts doors in your

9:16 life, he's not shutting doors because he hates you, he wants your life

9:20 to be miserable. He shut the door to protect you from the wrong people

9:24 coming into your life. He shut the door to protect you from going off

9:28 track and drowning. I want you to get to that place where you come

9:33 in terms with God and say, God, I thank you for closing these

9:37 doors. Thank you that you closed on that relationship, thank you for closing

9:41 that carry your opportunity, or thank you that I was sent out of this

9:46 job, thank you that that ministry or that business or that opportunity didn't work

9:52 out the way I thought. Because I believe you have the best for me

9:56 in store. Lord, I pray release this word over every single person watching,

10:01 listening from across the globe that this world will go for it and strengthen

10:05 them to know that you have their back and you will lead him to their
