1:03 Speaker 2: moment when in Genesis thirty nine, Joseph has taking us

1:08 Speaker 2: a slave into Potiphar's house and he's staying there, and

1:12 Speaker 2: the Potiphar sees the hand of God upon Joseph's life

1:15 Speaker 2: and puts him in charge of everybody and everything except

1:19 Speaker 2: Potiphir's wife. But here's the thing. I want you to

1:21 Speaker 2: understand that. Now Joseph was well built and handsome, and

1:28 Speaker 2: after a while he is my Potifir's wife noticed Joseph

1:32 Speaker 2: and said, come to bed with me. But I'm reading

1:35 Speaker 2: from verse seven onwards. Okay, So when you look at

1:38 Speaker 2: verse eight, he says, he refused. He said, with me

1:42 Speaker 2: in charge, my master does not concern himself with anything

1:45 Speaker 2: in the house. Everything he owns he has entrusted to

1:48 Speaker 2: my care. No one is created in this house than

1:51 Speaker 2: I am. My master is with her, nothing from me

1:55 Speaker 2: except you, because you're his wife. How can I do

1:58 Speaker 2: such a wicked thing sin against God? This is what

2:02 Speaker 2: Joseph is saying. Right, he's saying, you know, I'm not

2:05 Speaker 2: going to do this. He's bold. And he also says,

2:08 Speaker 2: I'm not just doing this. If I do all, I

2:10 Speaker 2: admit to the sin. I'm not just doing this against

2:13 Speaker 2: you know, your husband, I'm also doing it against God.

2:15 Speaker 2: So he knew that God was with him. He was

2:19 Speaker 2: mindful of God. And just think that I wanted to

2:22 Speaker 2: pay attention to words stay and it says, and though

2:24 Speaker 2: she spoke to Joseph day after day, he refused to

2:28 Speaker 2: go to bed with her or even be with her, Okay,

2:32 Speaker 2: and then eventually one day when nobody was there in

2:35 Speaker 2: verse eleven on once you see that she caught him

2:37 Speaker 2: by his cloak and said, come to bed with me.

2:41 Speaker 2: But he left his cloak in her hand, and he

2:43 Speaker 2: ran out of the house, right, and he gets into

2:46 Speaker 2: trouble where she wrongly accuses Joseph and then he's put

2:50 Speaker 2: in prison. Now, God used all of this for good,

2:53 Speaker 2: like to take him out of forty us house so

2:55 Speaker 2: that he doesn't remain a slave the rest of his life,

2:58 Speaker 2: so that he would go to the next level of

2:59 Speaker 2: his death the need. But there's a principle here. It

3:03 Speaker 2: says that she spoke to Joseph day after day, but

3:07 Speaker 2: he refused to go to bed with her. See, it

3:10 Speaker 2: didn't happen suddenly, right, It was something that she constantly

3:15 Speaker 2: constantly tried with Joseph, and one day, when nobody was around,

3:21 Speaker 2: she just took the opportunity to you know, hit on him. Yes,

3:26 Speaker 2: the thing, right, I think Joseph should have addressed the issue,

3:31 Speaker 2: addressed the concern when she started this, started doing this

3:37 Speaker 2: like right from the beginning. Like it says that she

3:40 Speaker 2: kept doing this day after day, and eventually one day

3:44 Speaker 2: she just you know, realized no one was around and

3:46 Speaker 2: took it into took mattress into her own hands, right,

3:49 Speaker 2: and ended up putting Joseph in trouble. And maybe today

3:54 Speaker 2: one thing that we can learn this, Yes, we need

3:56 Speaker 2: to be in no centif styles, but we should also

3:58 Speaker 2: be wise as so the Bible says, in other words,

4:02 Speaker 2: when you realize that something is off, when you realize

4:06 Speaker 2: that something doesn't seem right, when you realize that something

4:09 Speaker 2: could land you in deeper trouble, don't ignore it. Don't

4:13 Speaker 2: think like I just wish it would go away. Because

4:17 Speaker 2: it says that, you know, she kept on doing this

4:20 Speaker 2: day after day. Maybe one day he could have just

4:23 Speaker 2: spoken privately to Potifer. Maybe he could have addressed his

4:27 Speaker 2: concern in front of Potifer. Maybe he would have landed

4:30 Speaker 2: him in more trouble where his Potify's wife could have

4:33 Speaker 2: given him a harder try and time, and maybe he

4:35 Speaker 2: could have moved to another place or something like that.

4:38 Speaker 2: But the truth is, maybe he shouldn't have just been

4:43 Speaker 2: quiet about it like and just left it. Maybe if

4:46 Speaker 2: he had addressed this to Potifer beforehand, Potifa would have

4:51 Speaker 2: been aware so that when the actual incident happened. You

4:56 Speaker 2: know what, if I could have stood in a better

4:59 Speaker 2: chance of believing in Joseph than he did right now,

5:03 Speaker 2: you get what I'm saying. So ultimately allow God allowed

5:08 Speaker 2: this to happen so that Joseph would not stay there.

5:11 Speaker 2: All of that is true, But on the principal point

5:14 Speaker 2: of view, I want you to get this that you know,

5:15 Speaker 2: the minute you realize something is off, you know, like

5:18 Speaker 2: sometimes I see in terms of certain people, you know,

5:22 Speaker 2: you realize that they don't have good intention, You realize

5:25 Speaker 2: that something seems to be not clicking with them, you know,

5:30 Speaker 2: having good vibes or something like that. You know, I

5:34 Speaker 2: don't allow myself to be put in the you know,

5:38 Speaker 2: in a place where they would continue to use me

5:40 Speaker 2: like that. You get what I'm saying. I try to

5:43 Speaker 2: address it. Like if I see something is off, talk

5:45 Speaker 2: to the person concern or talk to somebody else who

5:49 Speaker 2: could help me deal with that in a better way,

5:51 Speaker 2: you know what I mean. So that's the challenge I

5:54 Speaker 2: want to leave with you. Don't put off your issues,

5:57 Speaker 2: address your issues in the right effective way that you
