0:54 I want to ask you this question today. Are you not pleasing a leveare

0:57 disappointed by people? The people that you looked after, the people you thought

1:00 who would encourage you, support you, stand by you, pray for you,

1:04 and cheer you on. I've suddenly just disappointed you. Maybe you thought

1:10 that, wow, they'll come at the right time, but they didn't come

1:12 to cheer you. They came to just give you some more discouraging news.

1:17 You thought that they will lift you up, but they just came to tear

1:22 you down. You thought that they will encourage you, but they ended up

1:26 discouraging you. You thought they would give you some good news, but they

1:30 ended up giving you some bad news, affirming the very condition that you're in.

1:34 Well, I want to talk to you today from Second king Is chapter

1:38 twenty, and I want to take this forward and I'm reading from the n

1:40 LT version, and this is what it says about that time Hezekiah became deadly

1:45 ill and the prophet Isaiah son of Amos went to visit him. Now,

1:49 I want you to understand, when you are sick and you get the opportunity

1:55 where a profit to the nation is visiting, you'll be like, Wow,

1:59 this is art sent He's going to bring me some good news. He's going

2:02 to pray and seek the Lord's intervention, and he's going to heal me.

2:07 He's going to raise me back from this deadly condition. But ironically what happens

2:13 is this is what Azakaiah says. He said, sorry, this is what

2:15 Isaiah says. He says, this is what the Lord says, set your

2:20 a fascin order for you going to die. You will not recover from this

2:23 illness. Now, that's kind of very harsh thing to hear, because you're

2:28 life. You know what I know my circumstances bad. I at least thought

2:31 you would come and encourage me, you would pray for me, you would

2:35 probably raise me back to life. But the last thing I want to know

2:40 is that I'm going to die. I didn't want you to tell me that.

2:44 I didn't want you to drob it on my face. I obviously knew

2:47 by circumstance that things are really bad. You may be in a place where

2:51 you thought somebody would come and pray for you, somebody would encourage you,

2:54 somebody who would change the trajectory of your life. But instead of making things

2:59 better for you, they came and affirmed the negative. They came and told

3:05 you bad news. They came and stood on the negative side, and things

3:09 just went bad. But I want you to understand something here. When Hezakaiah

3:16 heard this from Prophet Isaiah, he didn't fight with Prophetiziah. He didn't plead

3:23 to Prophetiziah. He didn't say, please pray for me that God will change

3:27 his mind. He didn't say God, please, you know, I want

3:30 you to change the report. Look at all the good I have done,

3:32 you know, Isaiah, please do something. He didn't talk to Isaiah about

3:38 the problem about the situation because he realized Isaiah, the one who could have

3:46 come and prayed, Instead of even praying for him, he just gave him

3:50 a death sentence. I don't know who needs to hear this, but some

3:53 of you are disappointed because you expected them to help you, but they ended

3:58 up just doing the opposite. And here is a moment when Hezekiah in verse

4:04 two says when he heard this, he turned his face to the wall and

4:09 prayed to the Lord. When he heard this, he didn't talk to Isaiah

4:15 about the situation. He prayed to the Lord. He spoke to the Lord.

4:18 He cried to the Lord. I don't know who needs to hear this

4:21 word today, instead of talking to people, instead of looking after people,

4:27 the ones who disappointed you, who would the ones who didn't meet your expectations,

4:30 Instead of going back like a puppy dog, you know, going after

4:33 the master even after they don't treat them well. You know, instead of

4:39 being like that, get to a place where you stop looking up to people

4:42 and start talking with God. Start talking to the Lord. Today. I

4:47 want you to understand that a lot of people are disappointed with other people,

4:56 maybe with other pastors or ministers or prophets, or you may be disappointed with

5:01 just your family, it would be anybody who hurt you. People you looked

5:05 up to, maybe your friends, your killeagues, but they didn't stand by

5:10 you. Instead of trying to talk to them, talk to them and try

5:15 to convince them or make them to change their mind about something. Talk to

5:21 God. Talk to God. I'm telling you guys, when you do that,

5:28 your situation will turn. Now. I want to just share something very

5:32 powerful here. You see, Isaiah didn't just say, you know you're gonna

5:36 die. He said, this is what the Lord says, you're gonna die.

5:40 Right. It seemed like you know what Isaiah himself said, you're gonna

5:43 die. Okay, forget it. My life is over. I'm gonna die.

5:46 That should have ideally be in the case scenario with the Zakaiah. But

5:51 he pleaded with a Lord. He prayed, and you see, even though

5:56 the prophet came and said you're gonna die, when he prayed, the output

6:00 changed. He didn't die. He lived for fifteen more years. The Lord

6:05 healed him. You see his prayer over road the prophecy of the prophet.

6:14 Even though somebody mighty or spiritually in a very high place spoke and said,

6:19 this is what is going to happen. When you, as a child of

6:24 God, stand by what the Lord is placed in you. When you talk

6:28 with the Lord, your prayer is going to override that prophecy. Your prayer

6:35 is going to be more powerful to overturn what the prophet has spoken. Today.

6:40 I pray the name of Jesus Christ that even if you're disappointed, and

6:44 if you're hurt, I pray that you will talk with the Lord about it.

6:47 Stop talking to people, stop trying to convince them, stop trying to

6:51 make people to like you, and start talking with God. When you speak

6:57 to the Lord, things will change. Because the scripture says is very powerfully

7:01 in James five sixteen prayer of a righteous man faith, your prayer as a

7:08 child of God because of the finished work of Jesus that makes you the righteousness

7:12 of God in Christ, it avails much for the glory of God. Amen.
