Gifta International. Welcome to Fuel for the Soul with John GIFTA. So caught
up or your own certain things passions. Maybe you want to see a level
in your life, or maybe you want to reach a certain stage in your
life, or maybe you're so caught up, like, you know what,
I need to make this much of money working, or maybe I need to
get this mini marks in money examination, I need to get into this kind
of a college or this kind of a program. Or you're so caught up
with something that you want, or you are having your own you know,
YouTube channel or ministry or something and you want a certain level for that,
uh, you know ministry or whatever you're doing, you want to attain or
reach a subscribership of some number or anything of that sort. Do you have
something that you're so caught up. I want this, You're so caught up
with it, and you're trying everything that you can, you're going overboard with
it. Well, I want you to pay attention to this. You know,
this morning I was reading and this was really popped up and I wanted
to share with you guys. It's found in Proverbs twenty three and verse four,
and I'm reading from the Nulti version. It says, don't wear yourself
out trying to get rich, be wise enough to know when to quit.
I know this sounds controversial because we always listen to motivational sermons or motivational messages
or even a while ago, I think somewhere on social media. So a
couple of things just popping up, like you know, if you badly want
some people create it or do it and make it happen, and all of
this stuff. You know, this has been you know, a thing that
has been really bothering me because there's one side where you have this kind of
motivation. Don't quit, don't give up, and you know, go and
make it happen and all of this stuff. And I was just looking and
introspecting my own life because you know, I'll tell you honestly, like I
shared with you for a couple of recent episodes where I've been sharing about you
some of the points that I've been bringing about for my own self. Even
be good to all the efforts that I'm putting, which regard to well,
of course, the podcasts are doing well. You know, there's so many
of you are listening to me every single day and regularly, and I'm so
grateful to you guys for doing that. But in terms of my YouTube channel,
I was so worked up because you know, I've been working on my
YouTube channel longer than my podcast. I've been putting so much more effort.
I've been going the extra mile. You guys know that I have a full
time job apart from which I do so many things in the ministry of the
podcasts, the daily podcast, the YouTube channel. You know, my life
is a whole so much on my plate, and I've been going over about
minute and the scripture was something like you're wearing yourself out, like you're trying
so much and you're saying and I was like, God, you see,
the Bible the worst says don't wear yourself out to get rich. And the
minute that was popped in and it was like, don't wear yourself out trying
to get your views to be you know, in my context that that's a
bit of a lot of speaking to me. You know, don't wear yourself
out to an extent where you're you're so focused on, like, you know
what you want to see, certain numbers, you want to see the growth
you you know, you want to see something happen that you're not. You're
just wearing yourself And the Bible says learn when to quit. In other words,
see, I'm not asking you to be a quitter. Okay, I'm
not asking you to quit following what God is college. But there is a
thin line of balance between you know, not being complacent and not being lazy,
but at the same time knowing when it is going to the other side
where you're wearing yourself out. Your mind is affected, your body is affected.
I mean, this kind of a thing just made me go to a
place where it actually affected my health. It affected my mental piece, it
affected so much. I mean, I was, I was, I was
you know, literal crying for a couple of days. And you know,
I was like, oh my goodness, God, I've put so much of
effort. I've been working on this so much. You said in your word
you'd bless the work of my hands, And why am I not saying that?
And I was was that more? You know, you guys knew me
right when I when I could give myself into it. I'm always, you
know, a person always stays committed to it. I'm not like, you
know, try something and then you know, don't work out on it for
a long time or something. I've been consistently working for so many years,
and I was feeling so overwhelmed about it. And yours was the scripture that
reminded me, like, you know, don't wear yourself out trying to make
your video co Vidal or don't wear yourself out. The scripture stays trying to
you know, get rich or in your own life. You know, I
want you to think about this. Are you wearing yourself out trying to see
some result in your life? You know what I'm going to do? Why
all that it thinks for me to achieve this? See, motivation is good,
Commitment is good, you know, working towards this good, but not
at the expense of wearing yourself up. You know what I mean. You
need to know when to you know, take care of your body, or
to pass or to you remember a couple of episodes ago, I was shinning
this about how Peter and the gang fish all night, caught nothing and an
important principle, I said, you know, when you realize that you catch
you got nothing. The Peter or anything. They were not staying there saying,
you know what, we are not going to leave till we are going
to catch some fish. They knew when to come back to the shore.
They quit literally, I mean they came back to the shore. But it
was in the shore when they passed their boat, you know, on the
shore that that's when Jesus stepped onto the boat. You have to remember something
here. When Jesus stepped on the boat, they were not fishing. They
were actually washing their nets. What I wanted to understand is we always pre
sermons like allow Jesus into your boat, your catch fish. But the point
is Jesus did not walk on water the bottom to the boat of Peter and
the Gain. They came back to the shore, they passed from doing what
they were doing. They stopped trying, they actually quit. That's why the
Bible says no when to quit. And the word quickier is not just saying
that, you know what, I'm going to throw it off and just go
in my life that that's not in the context. But learn to have you
know, a sense of knowing with that godly wisdom like listen, this is
a dead end or I need to pause, I need to look forward the
strategy, and that strategy is not going to come to you when you're still
trying to dig, you're still trying to fish. You have to come back
to the shore. And that is the place when you pass, when you
take a break, when you're in that moment, when you allow Jesus to
step into your boat, that is when you will see the difference. I'm
making sense to you, guys. So today that's my challenge with all of
us, and I pray that this world will encourage you. Very similar to
what I shared a couple of weeks ago. I think when in that episode,
but I think this is an important principle that you need to know that
don't wear yourself out in your pretext of wanting something in your life, your
body is the temple of the boy spirit. Your life is precious, and
as I'm speaking to you, guys, I'm preaching to myself because you know,
I'm a human being and I struggle with things and I'm praying for those
things. And I really encourage you guys to keep me in your prayers as
a couple of things on the mind on my end as well. So thank
you so much, guys for listening it around and catch up you've been listening

And this is not a message of condemnation. This is a message of hope.

Jesus Christ to come down and pay a heavy price by shedding every drop
of his blood on the cross. Thank you for dying for my sins.
When you believe in Him, you have free gift or salvation for you that
it shows us that we will go to heaven when we die instead of suffering
in Him forever. I'll just encourage you today to make the simple step of
faith and say, Jesus, I thank you for what you did on the
cross. Thank you for give me this gift of eternal life.
