3:06 Speaker 2: as we step into the new year, and I want

3:08 Speaker 2: to you know, change things a little bit on this podcast, uh,

3:26 Speaker 2: to share something very very profound with you guys, even

3:29 Speaker 2: as we step into this Christmas uh.

3:31 Speaker 1: And you know.

3:33 Speaker 2: What, something that really struck me was one of my

3:36 Speaker 2: favorite Christmas movies. I'm sure it may be yours as well.

3:39 Speaker 2: Is Home in two Lost in New York. That's, you know,

3:43 Speaker 2: like something about this home whole series of Home alone

3:46 Speaker 2: Kevin getting Lost, and we love the you know, the

3:49 Speaker 2: Christmas wives that this movie sets in and and and

3:53 Speaker 2: there's always something to learn from anything and everything. That's

3:56 Speaker 2: why my heart beat as well, because I believe that,

3:59 Speaker 2: you know, and the the scripture says in Psalms twenty

4:03 Speaker 2: four vers one, the whole earth and everyone in it

4:05 Speaker 2: belonged to the Lord. So the Lord can use anything

4:07 Speaker 2: and everything to speak to us. And I'm so grateful

4:11 Speaker 2: that there was something really striking about this movie when recently,

4:14 Speaker 2: because I was just thinking about this movie and said,

4:17 Speaker 2: you know what, this is so cool. You know, we

4:20 Speaker 2: see all about New York and all of these things,

4:23 Speaker 2: but then we see it's any way fictional. It cannot

4:25 Speaker 2: happen in real life. I mean even if you have

4:27 Speaker 2: seven kids, because Kevin's parents had, I mean like this

4:32 Speaker 2: family where seven in number. The uncle's family had seven,

4:36 Speaker 2: so they were fourteen in total. So even if you

4:38 Speaker 2: have five kids or seven kids, there's no way you

4:42 Speaker 2: can forget your own child. I mean, like it's mission

4:45 Speaker 2: impossible in the natural. So we think, like, you know what,

4:48 Speaker 2: this is just fiction. We don't think anything beyond it.

4:51 Speaker 2: Till at a point when I realized that, you know what,

4:54 Speaker 2: this has happened in real life. This has happened in

4:58 Speaker 2: real life. I was really shocked, like seriously, like, and

5:04 Speaker 2: I was thinking about this because, yes, the thing I

5:06 Speaker 2: wanted to understand Lost in New York, right is about

5:11 Speaker 2: the kid alone here in New York and the family

5:15 Speaker 2: is not even aware of it, you know, including the parents.

5:19 Speaker 2: How could they be so irresponsible? How could they forget

5:22 Speaker 2: their own child? And then I realized that before and

5:25 Speaker 2: two Lost in New York, there was a part of

5:27 Speaker 2: home Alone lost in Jerusalem. I mean, I don't want

5:31 Speaker 2: to use the word lost because that can get into

5:34 Speaker 2: theological debate, but yes, the context I want to talk

5:38 Speaker 2: about where a father and mother you know, are in

5:41 Speaker 2: Jerusalem for a special feast and they're heading back with

5:46 Speaker 2: their family and friends, and they travel for about an

5:51 Speaker 2: entire day, not realizing that their only son was not

5:57 Speaker 2: with them. I think about it. Come on, you have

6:01 Speaker 2: to give grace for the home alone family. They had

6:06 Speaker 2: so many children, so missing one was like okay, when

6:09 Speaker 2: in comparison to a real life incident where the parents

6:14 Speaker 2: forgot or didn't even realize that their only son was

6:18 Speaker 2: not coming with them. Think about it. Here's the thing, right, Like,

6:23 Speaker 2: they go on an entire day's journey and then they

6:27 Speaker 2: start searching and searching, and they're like, where is this

6:30 Speaker 2: son of them? And they come back to Jerusalem and

6:33 Speaker 2: three days later, on the third day, they find their

6:38 Speaker 2: son talking to the religious leaders at the place of worship.

6:44 Speaker 2: I think by now your guests, the story where Mary

6:47 Speaker 2: and Joseph forgot their only son, the special kid, son

6:52 Speaker 2: of the Living God. They were entrusted with someone so

6:57 Speaker 2: important and pressureous, but they were not reponsibly enough. They

7:01 Speaker 2: forgot their own son. One son that they had also

7:04 Speaker 2: they forgot, and they went for an entire day not

7:06 Speaker 2: realizing he was not with them. Like this gives you

7:11 Speaker 2: a feeling like giving more grace to the home alone family, right,

7:15 Speaker 2: especially Kevin's mom and dad, Like, Okay, you know what,

7:19 Speaker 2: you guys, you had more children, so it's okay when

7:23 Speaker 2: someone had one child and they forgot, they were not aware,

7:28 Speaker 2: they didn't even realize he was missing. And yes, the thing, right,

7:33 Speaker 2: I wanted to hold on because there's an important lesson

7:36 Speaker 2: to understand here. Even as we step into this Christmas season, right,

7:40 Speaker 2: a lot of times we are so caught up with

7:43 Speaker 2: all the activities of the season, you know, the joys

7:47 Speaker 2: of caroling, the celebrations, the dinners and fellowships, the skits

7:54 Speaker 2: and the church programs, and you know, celebration with family,

7:59 Speaker 2: celebration with friends and communities, and you know secret santas

8:03 Speaker 2: and all of the different things that happen, whether even

8:06 Speaker 2: with regard to decorations or you know Christmas trees and

8:10 Speaker 2: cakes and gifts and all of that. I want to

8:13 Speaker 2: ask you this question. Have you forgotten the sun? Just

8:18 Speaker 2: like the home Alone family forgot their son Kevin, just

8:26 Speaker 2: like Mary and Joseph forgot their only son Jesus. My

8:30 Speaker 2: question is in all your celebrations, is the sun that

8:35 Speaker 2: is Jesus? Is east relevant and part of your celebrations.

8:40 Speaker 2: Is he truly a part of your Christmas celebration? Is

8:45 Speaker 2: he truly a part of your life? Or is it

8:48 Speaker 2: only ritual? Is it only culture? Is it totally tradition?

8:53 Speaker 2: Is it totally something that you love to do you

8:56 Speaker 2: get that feel oh you know when I get the

8:58 Speaker 2: Christmas wife? Oh you know, I want to ask you

9:01 Speaker 2: this question, Like it's not about the vibe, It's about

9:05 Speaker 2: the why. It's about the fact that you know what,

9:09 Speaker 2: we need to have a Jesus born in her hearts.

9:16 Speaker 2: We should not forget him. You know, that's the amazing thing,

9:20 Speaker 2: the or the you know, the astonishing thing as Chile.

9:23 Speaker 2: Because Jesus' parents went to Jerusalem for the festival of Passover. Okay,

9:28 Speaker 2: this is if if you're wondering still, where is this passage,

9:31 Speaker 2: it's in Luke too, Okay, from verses forty one one verst.

9:35 Speaker 2: They went to Jerusalem for the festival of pass Whover.

9:39 Speaker 2: They were It's not like they were not religious or

9:41 Speaker 2: something like they were in the Lord, like, you know,

9:43 Speaker 2: come on, these were good people. The Lord chose them

9:47 Speaker 2: for a reason. The Bible talks about Mary how she

9:50 Speaker 2: said when the Angel of the Lord came to her,

9:52 Speaker 2: she said, accord asked you had spoken, let it be done.

9:57 Speaker 2: Or even when Joseph multiple times, you know, he always

10:01 Speaker 2: made sure that he was led by divine instruction. He

10:04 Speaker 2: didn't just make decisions on his own. He was led.

10:07 Speaker 2: He was about to divorce Mary because of the uncertainty,

10:12 Speaker 2: and then when the angel spoke to him, he went back.

10:17 Speaker 2: He when when he was about to uh, you know,

10:20 Speaker 2: like you know, when when the Angel of the Lord

10:23 Speaker 2: appeared through dreams and told him to run because head

10:26 Speaker 2: was going to kill and all of that, he followed closely.

10:29 Speaker 2: He was he was, he was synced to the leading

10:31 Speaker 2: of the Holy Spirit. But the thing is this, despite

10:35 Speaker 2: all of that, the Bible says, they went to the

10:38 Speaker 2: place of worship. They went to Jerusalem, the City of God.

10:43 Speaker 2: And but the thing is this, inverse to forty two,

10:47 Speaker 2: it says, you know, just like it was custom. You

10:51 Speaker 2: know sometimes you know, because Christmas will end up becoming

10:53 Speaker 2: just a custom for us. But and here's the thing.

10:58 Speaker 2: After the festival was over, the parents were returning home,

11:01 Speaker 2: the boy Jesus stayed behind, but they were unaware of it.

11:06 Speaker 2: I want to ask you this question in your Christmas,

11:09 Speaker 2: in your celebration, is it like, are you really aware

11:14 Speaker 2: that Jesus is a part of whatever you're updoing or

11:18 Speaker 2: is it just a ritual? Is it just a custom?

11:22 Speaker 2: Think about it, because this is so important. They were

11:25 Speaker 2: thinking he was with their in their company, with their family,

11:29 Speaker 2: with their friends, and they continue to travel. See, sometimes

11:32 Speaker 2: we end up just going with assumptions. Oh you know

11:35 Speaker 2: what I got saved when I was a kid. You know,

11:38 Speaker 2: I encountered God last year. Oh, I have this great experience.

11:43 Speaker 2: I had this vision from the Lord. You know, sometimes

11:45 Speaker 2: we just go by assumption, not realizing that we have

11:50 Speaker 2: actually drawn away from the Lord. We're drawn away from

11:54 Speaker 2: his will and his plan over our life. They were

11:57 Speaker 2: not even aware. I really want to pray each one

12:00 Speaker 2: of you right now, in the name of Jesus, wherever

12:03 Speaker 2: we are watching, if you are going astray and you're

12:06 Speaker 2: not aware, I pray that today is going to be

12:09 Speaker 2: a wake up call for you. The Lord will speak

12:12 Speaker 2: to you and say, listen, you're gone away, You're gone astray.

12:17 Speaker 2: It's time for you to come back. You know. After

12:20 Speaker 2: they began searching and realized they couldn't find him, they

12:24 Speaker 2: went back to Jerusalem. I don't know who needs to

12:27 Speaker 2: hear this word. Some of you need to get back

12:28 Speaker 2: to Jerusalem, you know, just like in the Home Alone

12:32 Speaker 2: Family when they are coming to terms like where is Kevin?

12:36 Speaker 2: Where is Kevin? Kevin's not here, And finally they get

12:40 Speaker 2: the information that Kevin is in New York. They go

12:45 Speaker 2: the next plane from Florida rush to New York. And

12:49 Speaker 2: you see the mom doesn't just sit complacent. She's just like, oh,

12:53 Speaker 2: you know what, the police, they're doing the work. Let

12:55 Speaker 2: me just say, you know, if you see the movie

12:58 Speaker 2: kids go running searching searching, you know, and and it's

13:04 Speaker 2: it's it's astonishing because on the third day Kevin and

13:08 Speaker 2: his mom un reconciled, right like the Kevin is reconciled

13:11 Speaker 2: with his family on the third day. Same thing. It says,

13:15 Speaker 2: after three days they found him at the temple courts.

13:18 Speaker 2: They were searching for Jesus and many and josiphound him

13:21 Speaker 2: after three days. Another similarity. Three in this in the

13:25 Speaker 2: Bible is a resemblance of new beginning. And today I

13:28 Speaker 2: want to speak this prophetically over you, that you know

13:31 Speaker 2: that you will experience a new beginning a number three

13:35 Speaker 2: over your life. There may be a day one where

13:38 Speaker 2: you have gone astray, a day two when you were

13:41 Speaker 2: not even aware that you went astray. Will let there

13:44 Speaker 2: be a day three when you are coming back to

13:47 Speaker 2: the Lord, when you are returning to Jerusalem, when you

13:52 Speaker 2: are going searching every if you've seen in the movie,

13:55 Speaker 2: you know, even when she's told you know, like just

13:59 Speaker 2: stay back, it's it's it's risky, you know, it's such

14:01 Speaker 2: a big city. Kevin's mom just goes around searching, running

14:05 Speaker 2: everywhere where, thinking like where he would be, and all

14:09 Speaker 2: of that. Here's the message I want to share with

14:11 Speaker 2: you that you will be aware of this important truth.

14:16 Speaker 2: Where dose Where do Mary and Joseph find Jesus. Eventually

14:21 Speaker 2: they find him at the place of worship. Where did

14:25 Speaker 2: Kevin's mom find Kevin? At a place where Kevin was

14:29 Speaker 2: praying by the Christmas tree. Think about this, guys. If

14:34 Speaker 2: you have gone astray, this is a wake up call

14:36 Speaker 2: for you to come back to Jerusalem, come back to

14:40 Speaker 2: the place of worship, come back to the heart of worship,

14:43 Speaker 2: come back to the heart of the Father. Come back

14:46 Speaker 2: to that place where you are connected with God. Start

14:49 Speaker 2: praying like how Kevin was praying. I want to come

14:52 Speaker 2: I want you, guys to come back to the place

14:54 Speaker 2: of praying, you know, get back to that place. And

15:00 Speaker 2: I'm telling you, when you do that, that's what will

15:03 Speaker 2: make your Christmas special. That's what will make your Christmas meaningful. Today.

15:09 Speaker 2: I want to pray over you, guys that this message

15:12 Speaker 2: is not just going to be a fancy home alone

15:14 Speaker 2: theme sermon. This is a powerful revelation. I was quite like,

15:18 Speaker 2: oh my gosh, this is so cool. But it's cool,

15:22 Speaker 2: it's awesome, but it will not make any difference if

15:25 Speaker 2: you don't act on it. If you're not living by it,

15:29 Speaker 2: and I challenge you to do that. I challenge you

15:32 Speaker 2: to have a blessed Christmas season, even the next couple
