Dealing with a Bad Report | John Giftah | Christian Sermon

0:44 Welcome to Fuel for the Soul with John GIFTA. Are you in a place in your life that you're saying, John, I just heard a word from the Lord. Somebody gave me bad news. This is the report I received. It doesn't look any good. I don't know what to do about this. Are you feeling upset? Are you feeling drowned? You feel drained, you feel rejected, you feel broken, you feel like just crying? Well, when I talk about Second King chapter twenty, there was a moment when Isakaiah, this great king, became deadly hill and the prophet Isaiah came to visit him, and he gave this message to the king.

1:30 Now we think about this. When you are upset, when you are sick, when you are going through some negative season, all you want to hear is some good news, at least from the prophet. Even if the doctors say, you know you're gonna die, you want a prophet or a pastor to come and pray that you will get healed. You want some good news at least from the pasta from the prophet. But here's what the prophet, this prophet, mighty Prophet Isaiah says. He says, set your first in order for you are going to die.

2:02 You will not recover from the sickness. You may be in a place where you're saying, John, It's one thing when I get a medical report that says that I'm in a very bad spot. It's wanting to get a report from the school saying that you know, my grades are banned. It's wanting to get a report from my workplace which says that you know, my position is in a very bad shape. It's a very shaky place, and I could get fired any moment. It's wanting to get a report from anything from the outside. But it's another thing when you get a report, a word from the Lord.

2:34 When a prophet comes and says that you're going to die, that you're going to not make it, that this is the end. You're not going to get another job. Imagine a profit coming and telling you you're not going to get another job. This is it. You're going to suffer the rest of your life. Imagine a profit coming and telling you, you know what, you're going to stay single the rest of your life. You know what, You're going to fail and you're not going to make it through your life. You know what, nothing is going to work out for you.

3:03 That's not the kind of message you want to hear when you are already down. But here's the thing. That's what happened. It was not a false prophet giving this report. It was mighty true prophet of God, Prophet Isaiah saying you're gonna die. But I wanted to understand, Zakaiah did not accept that word. Zakaiah didn't say, you know what, Prophet Isaiah said, I'm gonna die. Oh, there's no hope for me. I'm just gonna die. That's not what he did. When Aszakaiah heard this, he turned his face to the wall and prayed to the Lord.

3:47 I wanted to understand he received a word from the prophet. Instead of talking to the prophet, he talked to the Lord. I don't know who needs to hear this word. You have been looking to people. You're saying, please change your mind. You're saying please, please say any way you can pray that you can change the message from the Lord for me. You may be saying, yes, this is what the you know, the constitutions are saying with regard to this issue. But can there be any change to that? Or you may be saying, yes, I got these grades.

4:17 Can the teacher do something about it? Yes, this is what i'm getting as the report from my workplace. This is what I'm getting from whatever area, maybe it's in your area politics. You're saying, you know what, it's looking in a very bad shape. But are you just looking at the report and looking at the person who gave you the report, or are you looking to the Lord? As Zakaya received the word from the prophet, but he didn't speak to the prophet. He spoke to the Lord today. I'm telling you guys, that's what you got from the prophet.

4:55 But don't speak to the prophet. Don't speak to the pastor don't speak to the report, Giva, speak to the Lord. He prayed to the Lord, Lord, remember me how I've been faithful to you and have served you single mindedly, always doing what pleases you. Then he broke down and wept bitterly. He prayed and cried to the Lord. This is the word for you, guys, as much as the report says there's no hope, as much as the truth says there's no way out, as much as even prophets or people might have given you the word from the Lord saying that this is not going to work out well for you.

5:42 When you pray, you'll see a change. Hersakiah praise and cries to the Lord, and the Bible says and worse for before isaiahd left the Middle Kourtya, the message came from the Lord saying, go back to Hersakiah and say that you know what, he will live for fifty in more years. He's not going to die. You see here the saints of God, a mighty prophet came and gave him a word saying you're going to die. But he didn't accept that word. He prayed, and when he prayed, he saw her change. In the output. I want you to understand.

6:14 Prophets might has given you some word, A word from the Lord must have come across your path, or sometimes somebody might have told you, or all the yachts maybe against you. But when you still stand your ground and look to the Lord, stop looking to prophets, stop looking to pastors, and look to the Lord. I'm telling you your output is going to be different because you look to the Lord. Even though the mighty prophet Isaiah said it, God changed it when a man prayed. When you stand your ground and look to the Lord, he will honor you.

6:54 He will and say your prayers according to as well. Lord. I pray for those who are watching and listening from around the world that you'll fill them with that grace and that assurance, even if they're in a place where they've lost all hope, because not only is the reality looking bad, but they've also received some word from the lords or some prophetic words saying that they've lost everything. Pray that you'll strengthen them at this point and give them the hope of a new beginning in Jesus name.
