0:53 a lot of people today in life are just going about trying to make decisions.

0:58 You may be in a place where you want to make this decisions in

1:00 your life and you're saying, John, you know what, I don't know

1:03 what to do, what step to take, what move to make? Which

1:07 direction should I go? Whom should I speak to? What should I say

1:10 or what should I put on the resume? Or what job opportunity or carry

1:14 a move should I make? Should I way just jump right in a way

1:17 or you know, there's so much that people are having and most of the

1:21 time people make decisions hastily, they make decisions under pressure. They make decisions

1:26 because of the circumstance. See, there is a place where God uses circumstance

1:30 also as part of God's way to lead us into the way that he wants

1:36 us to go. But for the most part, that's not the only way

1:40 God uses to lead us into the right part. Because today I remember most

1:44 importantly that you and I are having the gift of the Holy Spirit. We

1:49 have the Holy Spirit living on the inside of us, and Jesus said that

1:53 he will lead us, He will guide us, and we have to walk

1:57 in the spirit. We have to be filled and be led by the Holy

2:00 Spirit of God. The Bible is very clear in Romans that you know,

2:04 those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. So

2:07 you and I have an advantage. You and I have a benefit, and

2:10 that is the fact that the Holy Spirit of God himself and living on the

2:15 inside of us, and he wants to lead us. He wants to guide

2:19 us, and he wants to direct our steps. Now, this is something

2:22 that you might have heard so many times, but I want to start off

2:24 by sharing something with you. Of course, this is again from the Old

2:28 Testament. But if the Old Testament itself was something that we say, something

2:32 that was so great, then how much more benefits we have as people in

2:38 the New Testament because the Holy Spirit is freely available with us and in dwelling

2:43 in us, and he's going to lead us through right. This is a

2:46 moment in First King Stapter seventeen was two onwards, and I'm reading from the

2:53 Naibi version, and this is what it says. Then the word of the

2:55 Lord came to Elijah, saying, leave here, turn east to and hide

3:00 in the care revine. He's of the Jordan. Okay, you will drink

3:05 from the brooke, and I have directed the ravens to supply you with food

3:08 there. Okay, listen, who gave this word? The Lord gave the

3:13 word, and the Bible says in verse five. So he did what the

3:16 Lord told him to do. He didn't think about it. He didn't quest

3:20 in God, he didn't ask God, how is it going to be possible?

3:23 What if the brook drives up? What if the ravens don't show up?

3:27 What if I feel bored? What if it doesn't You know, it

3:29 doesn't make sense. God, I'm a prophet. I need to minister to

3:31 people, and you want me to just run away to Brooke and stay there.

3:36 But he didn't think twice. He just obeyed the voice of the Lord.

3:39 You know, that's a word for you guys. You know, I

3:43 Love of the Bible, says in Hebrews eleven, verse eight. In the

3:47 amplified version, it says, how when God's told Abraham to leave, he

3:52 didn't even trouble his mind about it. He just trust in the Lord and

3:54 he took this step. That's the place I encourage each one of us to

3:58 go to a place where we are so led by the spirit of God that

4:01 we don't think, we don't analyze, we don't sit and look at all

4:05 the options. We just obey, knowing this is what God wants us to

4:11 do. Right For that, you need to have that level of intimacy with

4:15 God. You need to develop and grow your connection with God to a place

4:19 where you know, this is the Lord's speaking, this is the Lord's voice,

4:24 This is the Lord directing your step. So here's the thing. And

4:28 then it says he went to the character wine east of the Jordan and stayed

4:30 there. The ravens brought him bread and meat in the morning and bread and

4:36 meat in the evening, and they drank from the brook. In Verse seven

4:40 says sometime later the brook dried up because there had been no rain in the

4:45 land. See it seems like an irony. Gods said, Oh my gosh,

4:49 this is another message altogether. God said, listen, I wanted to

4:55 go to this place, and he will drink from the brook. God said,

5:02 you will drink from the brook, And now that that very brook dried

5:06 up, it seems like a contradiction. I know I appreached in similar patterns

5:11 from this while ago, but I want you to catch this because this is

5:15 so powerful. God said, you will drink from the brook, But now

5:19 that brook dried up. Sometimes your life may seem like a contradiction to what

5:24 God has spoken. God, you said I should do this, but now

5:28 it looks like I'm a failure. I trusted in your leading. I knew

5:31 you were directing my steps, but the very thing that you put me to

5:35 seems like it's not working anymore. God, where are you? What is

5:40 happening? Did I hear you wrong? But here's the beautiful thing right.

5:45 Even when that happened, Elijah stayed till verse it says, then the word

5:50 of the Lord came to him and said, go to Zarah Fad in the

5:56 region of Sudom and stay there. I have directed a widow to supply you

5:59 with food. And he went to Zara faith and the story goes on.

6:05 What I want you guys to understand here, this is important. True Elijah

6:10 took every step not led by his circumstance, not led by what was happening

6:15 around, not led by his feelings, not led by his logic. He

6:18 was led by what the Lord was saying. Every step he took, he

6:24 said, you know, this is what the Lord said. The word of

6:27 the Lord came to him, and then he took the step today. I

6:30 want you guys to understand something here. Get to a place where you are

6:33 continuously directed by the Lord. Don't just make decisions on your own. Don't

6:41 just make decisions hastily. Don't just go by your feelings, don't just go

6:45 by your emotions, don't just go by how the circumstances guiding you. Sometimes

6:48 you can't circumstance me seem like it's contradicting, But the Lord is saying,

6:54 because the Bible says the broke was drying. But the Lord didn't say anything.

7:00 He could see the brook was drying, and he was like, you

7:03 know, the Lord said he will take care. But the Lord spoke to

7:10 him only after the brook dried up. And then God said time for you

7:14 to make a move. You see, he didn't rush. He didn't.

7:16 You know, if you and I were in the place, we will be

7:18 worried. Oh my gosh, the brook is drying. I don't know what's

7:21 going to happen. Oh my goodness, Oh my goodness. We give wondering,

7:25 And you know, just keep contemplating and keep worrying about it, over

7:30 and over and over again, running in your mind at the back of your

7:32 mind. But here's this Elijah who did not just hastily run away from there

7:38 because the brook dried or he was drying. He moved only even the law

7:44 told him to move. I want you to understand that, guys, God

7:48 knows what you need when you need to trust him. He knows what's best

7:54 for you, he knows how to direct your steps. You're in the palm

7:58 of his hands. You're his most price possession, and you mean the world

8:01 to him. Today, I want you to get to that place where you

8:05 trust him, even if it doesn't make sense. You're saying, John,

8:09 God told me to do this, But now mad Brooke is right up.

8:11 Maybe wait, God knows that you can handle is some more time, at

8:16 the right time. He's going to tell you what to do next. Be

8:20 led by him. Be in a place where God is directing your steps,

8:28 not your circumstance, not your feelings, not your emotions, not outside Prussia,

8:33 but only the Lord, and He will make all things beautiful in his
