0:53 of people today are messing up their life, losing their destiny, losing a

0:57 lot of things that they can actually accomplish and be a blessing to a lot

1:02 of people and live a long life that will glorify God in and through their

1:06 life. All because of this important aspect that they tend to deviate from their

1:12 calling. They tend to go astray from what God has asked him to do

1:18 just because they're jealous of somebody else. They just can't digest the fact that

1:22 somebody else is prospering in something. Who's somebody else's being a blessing who's being

1:29 used by God in a greater fashion or in a different way in comparison to

1:33 them. You know, I want to just start off by sharing a scripture

1:36 with you, and I want to take this forward. And it is found

1:38 in for Samuel, chapter eighteen. There's a moment when you see that David

1:42 is being so successful in everything he does. The scripture goes on to say,

1:48 even if you look at chapter seventeen and chapter eighteen, you talk about

1:53 how David was successful. He because the hand of the Lord was upon David,

1:57 and he was able to do really great exploits. Because when God is

2:01 with you, you can do great exploits. Okay, there's no doubt about

2:06 it. And here's the thing. I want you to understand that there was

2:09 a moment when he was getting so much a victory that people started seeing songs

2:14 and saying, our Saul is killed thousands. David killed ten thousands, and

2:20 verse eight says in chapter eighteen of Firs Samuel, this made Saul very angry.

2:25 What's this about? He said? They credit David with ten thousands and

2:31 me with only thousands. And from that time on, verse nine says,

2:38 okay, and I'm reading from the n LT version. From that time on,

2:42 Saul kept a jealous eye on David, and you see as time progresses,

2:47 he constantly chases after David. See, I want you to understand something

2:52 very important to you guys, that Saul was already making history, becoming the

2:55 first king in recorded history of Israel. He's the first king of Israel.

3:00 He's there's nobody once you are first. You are first. There's nobody else

3:06 who can take the place of first. No matter how many kings come after

3:09 that, they can never be the first king, because the first king is

3:14 history. You get what I'm saying. You know, the other day I

3:16 was talking to somebody and I said, you know, so and so was

3:19 the first celebrity guest I interviewed, which means that this is the first person.

3:23 No matter how many people come after that, no matter how many people

3:27 do after that. You know, yes, they are specially in their own

3:30 way, but this person was first. This person was the first to accept

3:32 the invitation to be on my podcast. And you know that made me feel

3:37 really happy. So you guys have to understand this important truth. There's something

3:40 about the first David was going to become the next king, but still he

3:46 was going to become the next king, but not the first king. So

3:50 Saul had all the reasons to be excited about the fact that he was making

3:54 history becoming the first king of Israel. There's no one else who had become

4:00 the king of Israel because they only had judges to rule. And Saul was

4:05 in a place where he was making history of becoming the first king. But

4:11 what did he do. He became jealous of David, started chasing after David.

4:15 He messed up his destiny. He put the whole country in jeopardy.

4:18 He was not even taking care of his own people or the affairs of the

4:23 kingdom. He led the kingdom into unnecessary wars and so much of trouble and

4:28 turmoil, so much he just led. There was this constant fight between the

4:34 in the Saul and this you know men, and David and this men,

4:39 and you know, it was it was so much of chaos that could all

4:42 be avoided if Saul was secured in who he was. Today, a lot

4:46 of problems happened just because people are insecure in who they are. You know,

4:51 there was a moment when I felt like there was a sense of jealousy

4:57 in me when I looked at certain people and I saw how they were successful

5:00 in the very things that I wish I was successful for. You see,

5:04 that's when the Lord was showing me this. You know, I'm being successful

5:08 in the areas that God wants me to be successful. If I overlook that

5:14 and try to be successful in something else and I try to be jealous of

5:16 somebody else in their area of success, then I'm going to be messing up.

5:20 And that's when I had to get to that place when I said,

5:24 God, please, I don't want to be assault. I want to learn

5:26 from Sault, but I don't want to be assault. Help me to be

5:30 grateful and work towards what you have asked me to be in the area that

5:34 you want me to be. And today I'm pray that you will get to

5:39 that place where you won't be jealous of somebody who's successful in something that you're

5:44 not meant to be successful at. Saul was successful as the first king.

5:50 He had a lot of responsibility to secure his people, to take care of

5:57 the needs, to bring about good policies that will be beneficial for the people.

6:01 But instead of doing all of the good for the people, what was

6:04 he doing. He was just chasing after David. He just went off track.

6:09 He just wasted everybody's resources and time and everything on things that did not

6:14 even make any sense. Today, I pray that you will be secured in

6:18 who God wants you to be, in the area that God wants you to

6:23 be. You see, Saul was the first king, even though David was

6:29 going to become the next king, but they would only become the next king,

6:31 but never the first king. Saul was making history. You know,

6:36 when I was thinking about this, like I said, you know, when

6:40 those jealousy thoughts or thoughts of enemy came to me, when I was thinking,

6:44 oh my goodness, this person is successful in this area and I'm not.

6:46 And the Lord remind me of the areas that I've been successful that right

6:51 when I think about, you know, grateful the God, where the ministry

6:55 took off, with the podcast or even the book becoming number one and all

6:59 of these things, you know, the very people that I was, I

7:01 was like, oh my gosh, why are they successful in something and I'm

7:03 not successful in those areas now I and the Lord reminded me and said,

7:08 you're successful in areas oh that they are not successful at you know what I

7:13 mean. I'm not putting myself in a high pedesta or in low pedestal.

7:17 But I'm telling you from my heart because I want to be open with you

7:20 guys, that I also deal with these things, and I also face these

7:25 moments when I had to get to the Lord and I said, God,

7:29 please help me. I have this area where I'm feel jealous about this person.

7:33 Help me. I don't want to lose my life. I don't want

7:38 to go off track. I don't want to mess my destiny. I don't

7:41 want to be like a Saul when I can actually learn from Sault so that

7:46 I can be a better version, so that I can you know, in

7:50 many ways, I made history in my family in different places, like for

7:57 example, in the university when students whenever allowed to preach, I made history,

8:03 you know, out of ten eleven thousand people. I made history.

8:07 When when the book became you know, number one, or even the podcast

8:13 hitting the number one. In many ways, these these these were all part

8:18 of history in different things that I did, you know, and I'm telling

8:22 you guys, you know, Saul was also making history. And sometimes we

8:26 can be so jealous of somebody else because they're successful in something that we want

8:31 to be successful at. When I pray that God will give you you and

8:33 either strengthen the grace to say, God, help me to overcome that jealousy.

8:39 Help me to deal with that and come to that place where I'm secured

8:43 in who you want me to be, so that I will find success in

8:46 what you want me to find success at. And I pray that you will

8:52 not be like a Saul messing up your life, but you will be secured

8:56 and you will be a great testimony and an example what would be like when

9:01 you have to deal with jealousy in your life. Because these spirits will come,

9:05 these thoughts will come. The conrono me from it, but you can

9:09 overcome them when you're secured in who God wants you to be in Jesus name,
