0:47 Speaker 2: Hey, God, Shell, is such a joy for me to be with you today on this segment of the Fuel for the Soul with John Gift of podcast, where I'm going to talk to you today from a very familiar passage that you might be knowing a lot, and you might have actually studied quite a bit of it from the time you were younger. But I want to talk about something very important because I believe there is a principle for us to learn from this. It may be again unknown principle, but again in this context, I believe we need this reminder and I'm going to talk to you today from the very first miracle Jesus performed when he walked on earth as man, and it is found in John chapter two.

1:22 Speaker 2: This is the segment about the wedding at Cana. And if you look at verse one, it says there was this wedding celebration in the village of Cana in Galilee. I'm reading to you from the NLT version. Right, it says Jesus's mother was there, verse two which says Jesus and his disciples were also invited to the celebration, and verse three says the wine supply ran out during the festivities. I want you to just think about this for a minute, right when they were planning this wedding, when they were planning all the nuances of the wedding, when they were looking at all the celebrations and the festive more and you know, when they were going through all this happy awesome you know, like like everybody is a joyful mood and everything while things were going really good, everything was going as per plan.

2:12 Speaker 2: The Bible says that Jesus and his disciples were also invited, right, Because I want you to understand that a lot of times when things are going fine in our life. Maybe when you're making a new decision or career choice, or maybe a stepping into a new relationship that you want to venture out, or maybe a new business venture, or with the career job scenario, or maybe anything out of the sun. Maybe you're starting a new ministry endeavor, or maybe you're just trying to start a new you know, like habit in your life, anything for that matter.

2:45 Speaker 2: Right, Sometimes when we're just taking these steps, we're like, you know what, I'm excited about this. This is a new initiative. I'm just exploring this. When we get into this, what do we do? We sometimes we forget God. I'm not saying we intentionally do this. I'm not saying that we are like, you know what, I never prayed or something like, we are praying, we're looking up to the Lord, we're seeking his guidance and all of those things. But in the midst of that, what happens is we take our own initiative, our own step, without actually inviting Jesus into every step.

3:16 Speaker 2: You get what I'm saying. The Bible says very clearly in Problems three, verse five and six. You know it says acknowledge God in all your ways, and he will direct your steps right. The problem is not when we you know, we don't acknowledge God at all. It's that we forget to acknowledge Him in all of our ways. You see, when everything was going fine, when there was no problem in sight, they invited Jesus. This is a wake up call for some of you. When things are going fine, Are you actually acknowledging Him in everything?

3:51 Speaker 2: Are you depending on him with him in everything? Are you looking up to Him and saying, Holy Spirit, apart from you, I can do nothing. Jesus, I need you every minute. Can you be in the place where even if something looks easy, these things seem like everything is going well. Are you in a position where you're actually involving God even when you feel like you actually don't need God in that moment? You get what I'm saying. Because when they invited Jesus and the disciples to the wedding, there was no problem.

4:20 Speaker 2: They had no clue that they were about to face a major problem where they needed the hand of God because only in verse three the wine ran out. In verse two, everything was great. They invited Jesus even before the wine ran out. They invited Jesus even before they hit or trouble. They invited Jesus before they actually anticipated anything going wrong in their life. This is a message to you because you have no idea when things can actually start tumbling down, or things could go in the bad direction, or things can actually go out of control where you actually need God to do something.

4:56 Speaker 2: So that's why my challenge to you is while things are still going fine, acknowledge Him in all your ways, when your things are actually looking good, seek God and this will and displan and dispurpose over your life. Because a lot of times people hit a problem, they go to that moment when the wine runs out, or a moment when you know they face the you know, impossible situation, and then they're like, oh my gosh, God, where are you? God? I should have invited you in my life before. God, I need your direction over my life.

5:30 Speaker 2: The problem is, you know, you are asking God where are you when you hit the problem? But God, if I were God, I would say where were you before you actually got into the problem? You know what I mean? You know, see, this is a message to all of us. This is a simple principle, but a message to really in prospect and see, are you acknowledging God in everything? Are you depending on Him in everything? Recently I took up an USI and and there was one of the assignments that I was given, you know, in this new organization, was to do some PPT adjustment work.

6:08 Speaker 2: Okay, it's a very simple task, but you won't believe. Like the minute they said can you do this? This is the first assignment to do in this so obviously first impression and all of these things pressure. So I started speaking in tongues for five minutes, I was started praying. I said, Lord, I know it's a simple task. I know I can do this by myself, but I want you to help me. I want you to help me. I acknowledge you in everything, even if it's a simple task. I want to acknowledge you, even if it's a simple task.

6:36 Speaker 2: I need you lot. I need to depend on your guard. Apart from you, I can do nothing. I took the I started praying for those five minutes, and then I started this assignment and took the next couple of hours. Even through that, whenever I faced anything kind of small, small hurdles, I started speaking in tongues. I said praying, and I got it done and I was able to get a good feedback. You know, you did a fantastic job, you know, and things like that. And I'm telling you it's not just about the feedback.

7:05 Speaker 2: It's about the fact that, you know, I'm glad that I started depending on him more, even for things that I think that I can handle by myself, you know what I mean. Like they could have said, oh, you know what, it's a simple task we can handle like we you know, or they could have ignored Jesus. They could have, you know, not invited Jesus because Jesus had not even started doing his miracles, right, like, you wouldn't have been as quote unquote popular as you would have been before it would become later.

7:34 Speaker 2: But here's the thing. They still acknowledged and invited Jesus before the problems ran came out, and what happened, it was something that came in handy. So today, that's the message I want to leave with you that before you hit your problem, before your wine runs out, invite Jesus into your life, and that's how you will be able to face anything and everything that comes your way.
