0:53 you may know the first part of this was very Much, which says oldistency

0:59 that the Lord is. But I want to talk about the second part of

1:02 this verse. I want to start off by reading from the Good News translation.

1:06 It says, happy are those who find safety with him? Happy are

1:11 those who find safety with him. When you look at the Message version,

1:17 it says, blessed are those who run to him? Right, blessed are

1:23 you who run to him. When you look at other translations like the NIV,

1:27 for example, it uses the word refuge, it says blessed is the

1:33 one who takes refuge in him. Now I want to also get to the

1:38 meaning of the word refuge. It says the state of being safe or sheltered

1:42 from pursued danger or difficulty right where you're in a place or situation where you

1:49 find that shelter or safety right. And the minute I saw this part of

1:57 scripture, it just reminded me of this scene in this popular movie called Baby's

2:04 Day Out. I don't know how many of you know this pretty old movie.

2:07 It's a comedy movie. It's a it's a kid's family entertaining movie.

2:12 If you do not know about it, it this this movie is um uh

2:16 it's talk about talking about a little baby that's going around. Um. You

2:22 know, it gets kidnapped and then it goes to different places. Uh.

2:25 And and there's this scene where the kidnappers are after this baby, but this

2:30 baby finds shelter or safety under a gorilla or a chimpanzee, right, I

2:39 think it's one of these. Uh it's a huge chimpanzee or gorilla, one

2:44 of these. And what I want you guys to understand is that as long

2:50 as these guys are trying to attack this baby, the baby keeps just hiding

2:55 under the wings of the gorilla kind of like you know, just being resting

3:00 the gorilla's arms and finds that safety, finds that refuge where it just knows

3:08 the No matter what they try, they cannot take hold of the baby.

3:14 Even when they do try, the gorilla fights for the baby and puts these

3:19 guys in trouble. You know, it hits them or kicks them or whatever

3:23 the different things it does in the In the movie, of course it's it's

3:28 it's a comedy movie. But but but the idea of here, I want

3:30 you guys to get grasps. Yes, the enemy is constantly trying to attack

3:35 you, affect you, and you may be attacked on every direction, and

3:39 you're you're you're running hida chidda. You're you're trying to find shelter. But

3:45 I want to encourage you and ask you are you getting to that place where

3:47 you are running for refuge? You're taking refuge in God? Because the Bible

3:53 says, Blessed are those who take refuge in God. Blessed are those who

4:00 run to God. Happy are you when you are running to safety in guard?

4:06 Where are you finding your protection? Where are you going or where are

4:12 you saying, you know, this is my place of refuge, This is

4:15 my place of safety. No matter what it is you see in the movie,

4:23 that's what happens. Um You know, even when they try, the

4:27 baby just cries out, and the and the chimpanzee immediately jumps up and rescues

4:31 the baby does everything under its power. You know, it's it's a little

4:35 example of how the baby finds refuge under the wings or on the arms of

4:46 this chimpanzee. Then how much more you and I can take the refuge from

4:51 the almighty guard who's almighty and all powerful, and and he's saying anyone,

4:58 nothing can snatch you from me, nothing can snatch you from my lab,

5:02 nothing can snatch you from my cover. I've protected you, I have you

5:08 covered, and you will be safe and secured in the palm of my hands

5:15 today. I want you guys to understand, even if it's not a little

5:17 physical protection you're looking for, maybe you're praying for a protection in your works

5:25 situation where you're saying, I want a secured job. I don't want to

5:29 lose my job. I want protection in that regard, or maybe a protection

5:32 that your relationship works out, that it's not going to fall to the ground,

5:39 or protection in your calling, your ministry, that your businesses can be

5:44 secured, maybe protection from you know, maybe your finances, protection from getting

5:51 sick, protection from anything, it could be, even depression of fear.

5:57 Good today, I pray that you know you'll find that protection as you run

6:02 to God. If this is a message that many of you may say,

6:05 yes, John, I know this. I've heard this so many times.

6:10 I know these kind of messages. But I'm telling you sometimes we need that

6:13 reminder or sometimes you know, when you're actually in that moment, when I

6:17 hit the heat of the moment is when these messages need to be reminded of.

6:21 And that reminder will come only when you feed on these kind of messages

6:26 and receive it by faith and say, God, at my time of need,

6:30 I will be able to take this word into my spirit and find refuge

6:34 in you. I'll run to you and I will find my safety in you.
