0:46 Speaker 2: Helliver. Welcome to this edition of the Fuel for the Soul with John Gifta Podcast. If you've been chaking the news, especially if you're in India, you would know that for the past ten days or even more, they're a lot of things happening. There's a lot of undrest happening, a lot of protests happening. People are on fast, people are making a lot of headlines about various things that's happening. And here's the thing I want you to understand right first things first, I always wanted to take time to respond or to address these things.

1:19 Speaker 2: Because there's two aspects to this. Number One, I don't want to just respond just to use this as a clickbait to get more views. Okay, that's the reason I didn't want to jump into this right away. I always take time to see how the Lord is leading me or speaking to me, and then address these things. And the other side of it is, I don't want to be somebody who's silent to all that's happening, because I want to talk about something very important here, because the next couple of days, you're going to look at various aspects that you and I as believers can learn and understand on how to respond when things are not going fine in your society, in your country, in your neighborhood, in your church, or in your workplace.

2:02 Speaker 2: Because I want you to understand something very important here. Many times, as Christians, we are trained to think that, you know what, Our focus is only to win souls, Our focus is only to do ministry. Our focus is only to do this that is pleasing in the sight of the Lord. To go into this job or to live my own life and then maybe be involved in church or ministry activities. But can I tell you something that's not the only agenda with which God placed us on Planet Heart. One of the reasons I wrote my book, un Rail Your Purpose is because I want people to understand that when we talk about walking in your God given calling and purpose, it's not only about saying, you know what I have to be in ministry.

2:45 Speaker 2: I need a purpet, I need to become a worship leader. I need to go and do street evangelism. That's not why God saves us. I wanted to understand each and every one of us have a purpose and a calling to be the light in the darkness, to be a channel of blessing to people in unique ways in our own areas that God has placed in us. Maybe when you see in justice in society, Maybe when you see that there's some kind of a negative thing happening in your workplace. Maybe when you see that there are people who are being mistreated it is your job to be the light in that darkness.

3:20 Speaker 2: Or when you see that the entertainment industry is going in the wrong direction, maybe you can produce good quality content that can change how people will be transformed when they watch or feed on that see I wanted to understand something you today I'm going to talk about one important aspect because I believe a lot of Christians are living from a place of being too over spiritual that they're not sensitive to the needs of people. See, when you think about in the scripture, there is a pattern that we see over and over again how God use mighty people.

4:01 Speaker 2: Like when you think about Joseph. Joseph didn't just go and preach to people.

4:07 Speaker 2: He was able to meet the needs of the people through the famine, and that's how he saved multitudes, he saved nations. So you see, there is a pattern here where God wants to use you to serve. God wants to use you as a channel of blessing. God wants to use you in your place that He has placed you so that you can be in that place of influence, in that place to be a blessing, so that through that process you can bring souls, you can win souls, you can have advance the Kingdom of God. See today, one of the things, from today through the next couple of days, I'm going to look at various ways how we as Christians should respond to the injustice that you see all around.

5:00 Speaker 2: Now. One of the things I wanted to understand is you may say, oh, I'm not involved in this, this is not in my country. Can I tell you something that you could see some form of injustice happening in any nation that you're in. Maybe you are saying that, okay, it's not nationwide. Maybe there's some injustice happening in your office. Maybe there's some injustice or negative thing happening in your society or even in your family line. There are certain customs that are being followed which are not good, They're not healthy, and they are causing the family line to be affected.

5:31 Speaker 2: And there could be different things today. I want to pray that God will help you to identify whatever it is and say, you know what, I want to be the one who's going to take a stand against this. I want to be the one who's not going to turn a blind eye to this. Because Christians are so focused on winning souls that they miss out that sometimes winning souls comes at the cost of winning seats for a certain political part, which will bring in policies that will enable you to actually win some souls.

6:05 Speaker 2: Are you getting what I'm saying. If you're saying I'm not into politics or I don't care about this, all the protests that's happening. I don't care about injustice because it's not affecting me personally. But maybe, just maybe, if you would just stop turning a blind eye to the injustice, if you would just stop acting in indifference and say, how can I be a channel of blessing instead of being someone who's turning a blind eye to all that's happening. I want to talk to you. From Mark chapter ten, Versus forty six to fifty two, an important lesson for us today when we think about this moment.

6:43 Speaker 2: I'm reading from the Nalty version in verse forty six. Then Jesus reached Jericho, and as Jesus and his disciples left town, a large crowd followed him. A large crowd followed Jesus. Okay, now these people were following Jesus. They were followers of Jesus. Now today, if you're watching or listening, I'm pretty sure you're a follower of Jesus and you're saying, you know what, I love Jesus. Or maybe you have a cute Instagram biop says that you're a Jesus follower. Maybe your posted a Bible verse or whatever it is.

7:21 Speaker 2: You're saying, you know what, I'm a professing Christian believer. These people were following Jesus. Okay, Now pay attention to this. This was a miracle that happened almost at the end of Jesus's early life. This was not in the beginning. This was almost at the end. Okay. So I want you to understand that people already know about the miracles of Jesus. People already know about how he you know, probably calm the storm for the five thousand, healed the blind. They know about the miracles. But here's the thing I want you to understand.

7:58 Speaker 2: A blind beggar name Matthimaeus was sitting beside the road, and when he heard that Jesus was nearby, he began to shout, saying, Jesus, son of David, have mercy on me. Now, I wanted to look at verse forty eight, be quiet. Many of the people yelled at him be quiet. In some other translations it says that they rebuked him. What astonishes me is that the Bible says that a large crowd was following Jesus and they see a blind man who's crying for mercy, and the people are turning a blind eye and they're saying, you shut up.

8:45 Speaker 2: What an irony because you have to understand what they should have done is they should have said, hey, blind man, let me help you get to Jesus, because we know Jesus has healed many blind people and Jesus can heal you. Or they should have told Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, there's a blind man there. Why didn't you heal him? But what did they do? There was a blind man and the people turned a blind eye. And the irony is the people who turned the blind eye. Where Jesus following people. My question to you is you may say I'm a Jesus follower, you may say I love the Lord.

9:27 Speaker 2: You can quote a hundred scriptures by heart. But my question is are you truly sensitive to the needs of the people around you or are you turning a blind eye to those who are suffering.

9:44 Speaker 2: Jesus following Christian who is having that compassion for the needs of other people, who's saying that, oh my gosh, I can't bear to see this person suffering and wants to help in whatever way possible, or are you turning a blind eye saying it's not my problem and acting with indifference today. I want to pray in Jesus Mighty name that every single one of you watching, listening right now, that in any area of your life, maybe there are people who are suffering. Maybe you know that there is injustice happening.

10:21 Speaker 2: Maybe there is something that's like somebody is showing partiality into someone in your school, or maybe you see that somebody else is getting you know, a lot of attacks in the workplace that you know that this is injustice, or maybe you're saying that there's some kind of a negative thing happening in your community where somebody is being you know, constantly being rebuked or being ill treated, and you're just turning a blind ey saying it's not my problem today. Let this be a wake up call for you.

10:52 Speaker 2: Whether you're going to take an active participation or not, that is secondary. The first place I want you to go to you is the place where you will not turn a blind eye, but you will turn to the people and say, let me be a blessing to you. In whatever way, they had two options in front of them. They could have either brought the man to Jesus or they could have taken Jesus to the man, but they didn't do either. My question to you is when you see people suffering, what are you doing? When you scrawl through your social media and see there are people who are suffering.

11:34 Speaker 2: Maybe you have a great job, but there are people who are suffering because they don't have a job because of injustice happening in the government. What are you doing when you say, oh, you know what, my health is fine, but you see there's somebody else suffering because of governmental injustices and negative things that are happening, corruptions, because of the which the healthcare system is failing. What are you doing about it? Today? Is a wake up coffee. Stop turning a blind eye and say, Lord, open my eyes to see the ones who have been placed in front of me so that I can beat the channel of blessing to them.
