GOD Doesn’t Just Sustain You — He Satisfies You | John Giftah | Christian Sermon
Tonight's Episode
Have you been living in survival mode?Just trying to cope.
Just trying to manage.
Just trying to “get through.”
In the miracle of the feeding of the 5,000, the Bible doesn’t say the crowd was barely fed.
It says: “They all ate and were satisfied.”
JESUS didn’t give them just enough strength to walk home.
He didn’t give them crumbs.
He didn’t give them survival.
He gave them satisfaction.
In this powerful Christian sermon, John Giftah challenges the mindset of settling for less than what GOD has placed inside you.
GOD is not asking you to shrink your expectations.
He is not calling you to a life of constant lack.
He is able to satisfy your soul.
This episode will help you:
• Break the survival mentality
• Understand Biblical satisfaction
• Trust GOD for fullness, not fragments
• Stop settling for less than His best
If you’ve been feeling like you’re just barely making it, this message will reawaken faith.

Speaker 1: Welcome to Fuel for the Soul with John Gifta.
Speaker 2: Hello everyone, Welcome to this edition of the Fuel for the Soul with John Gifta podcast. But I'm going to talk to you today on a very very important aspect that I want you to remember with regard to understanding how God wants to show up and show out in your life. I'm going to talk to you from a very familiar passage that you might have known about when Jesus was feeding the five thousand and this is recorded. I'm going to talk to you from the recorded incident in Matthew chapter fourteen, verses from thirty one.
Speaker 2: Sorry, verses from thirteen to twenty one. And this is what I want you to understand. When you paraphrase this incident, you realize that, especially if you look at worse number twenty one, it says the number of people who ate were about five thousand men besides women and children. So some people believe that could have been even twelve thousand to fifteen thousand people, including the men and the women, because the ones who were registered were the men in this regard. So yes, the thing I wanted to understand, Jesus was able to use filos of bread and two fish to feed multitudes.
Speaker 2: We speak about this so frequently, but there's one verse that I want to just talk about because a lot of times we say, you know what, listen, just bad with it, Just how little Jesus could have done that. But just the thing I want you to understand. Verse twenty says, they all ate and we're sattisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over. Now think about this word that I want you to focus on. Day all eight and we're satisfied. I want you to understand something here that the miracle that God wants to give over your life.
Speaker 2: They break through that God wants to unleashow your life. It's not going to be something where God is going to say, I know this is not the best that you were hoping for, but just bad with it. Just settle down with this. You know. I know you want a job that will suit you so that you can walk int your God given calling. But just bad with this. And just even if it affects your mind, your health, and your walk, walk with me it's okay. But but just bad with it. God is not going to do that. Or if you're praying for God to bring the right person into your life, God is not going to say, I know these are the dreams that you have, These are the desires I placed in you.
Speaker 2: But you know you just settle down, just bad with this. This is the person that you want to I want you to just go ahead. That is not the God we serve. I want you to understand something here. When God shows up in your life, it's not going to be something to just bear with. It's going to be something that's going to satisfy you. I want you to understand something here. See when Jesus did many miracles right there were many miracles of healings. For example, those people who got healed walked in that healing for the rest of their life.
Speaker 2: Right. But here you see, this was a one off thing. Like for example, if somebody was hungry there and Jesus fed the five thousand and they were satisfied. The truth of the matter is before long, most probably by the time they go back home, they might feel hungry again, or by the next meal's time, or by the next day, they will feel hungry again. Like, see what I wanted you to understand. It's not like once they got this miracle, they're never going to be hungry the rest of their life. No, it was a one off thing.
Speaker 2: It was just for that moment. So typically what we would have said at that moment is just do some miracles so that they get some food and some strength so that they can get back home and cook food, or they can get back on the way buy some food. But He's the thing I wanted to understand, even a one off thing, that it's not going to solve the rest of their life. Like it's a miracle that happened, but it's not like they're going to live in that or walk in that effect of the miracle the rest of their life.
Speaker 2: Like how a healing a person who's healed will walk in that healing the rest of their life. This is not like that. This is an incident where the person experiences the miracle, but then they go back and the next day they feel hungry again and they need to go food and eat. I hope you're getting what I'm saying, But even for a one off things, Jesus didn't say, just eat something so that your hunger is gone, or just eat something so that you have enough food for the day. But what I wanted to understand, he didn't this do that.
Speaker 2: The Bible says they all ate and were satisfied. I want you to understand if Jesus made sure that just the meal that they had for that moment was satisfying meal. I want you to know how much more the miracle that God wants to bring into your life, the job that God wants to bring over your life, the person God wants to bring over your life, the breakthrough God wants to release over your life, the clients He's going to bring over your business, or the kind of opportunities that are going to come your way, are not going to be something that God is going to say, just bad with it, I know it's not the best, or just settle down, or just you know, let's crawl through this.
Speaker 2: No, what He's going to do is going to bring a linement of satisfaction. It's going to exceed your expectations, and it's going to be something that's going to be worthwhile. And that's what I want to remind you to believe big, dream big, because that's what God wants to do over your life. Emen, God bless you.
