1:06 Speaker 2: encounter through which he has an encounter with the Lord

1:09 Speaker 2: and he is saying, Lord, I realize that you want

1:12 Speaker 2: to destroy Sordom and Gomorrah because of the wickedness in

1:16 Speaker 2: this region. But what if there are righteous people there?

1:19 Speaker 2: What if there is somebody there who is still looking

1:22 Speaker 2: up to you. What if there is somebody stigning up

1:24 Speaker 2: for you. So he's reasoning out and having this conversation,

1:28 Speaker 2: and the Lord is showing that, you know what, even

1:30 Speaker 2: if there are a hundred people there who are standing

1:33 Speaker 2: up for me, I'm not going to destroy the place.

1:34 Speaker 2: If there are fifty, or even if there are ten,

1:37 Speaker 2: I'm not going to destroy the place. So in other sense,

1:39 Speaker 2: I want you to understand, God is a god of mercy.

1:42 Speaker 2: God is a god of second chances. God is a

1:44 Speaker 2: god who's saying, you know what, I'm not here trying

1:46 Speaker 2: to destroy. I'm here trying to preserve and conserve and

1:50 Speaker 2: redeem and so that you can fulfill the purpose for

1:54 Speaker 2: which I created you. But I wanted to understand in

1:57 Speaker 2: that context, when you look at verse one of Genesis nineteen,

2:02 Speaker 2: the same evening, two angels came to the entrance of

2:06 Speaker 2: the city of Sodom, And I want you to understand

2:08 Speaker 2: the timing. Here Lot was sitting there. Think about this.

2:13 Speaker 2: Think about this for a minute. Right, The two angels

2:16 Speaker 2: are coming to Sodom, and exactly when they're entering the

2:20 Speaker 2: city gate, Lot is sitting by the entrance. What are

2:24 Speaker 2: the odds of Lot sitting there? I want you to

2:26 Speaker 2: just think about this, because when you look at various

2:28 Speaker 2: lessons in the next couple of days, but what are

2:30 Speaker 2: the odds of Lot sitting there? Because I wanted to

2:34 Speaker 2: understand probably during this period, people used to work during

2:38 Speaker 2: the day, and they used to unwind by the evening,

2:41 Speaker 2: and maybe Lot's pastime or maybe his unwinding was to

2:45 Speaker 2: sit by the entrance of the city gate, because you see,

2:50 Speaker 2: even there, the city was filled with wickedness. If you

2:53 Speaker 2: see just down the couple of verses, you see there's

2:57 Speaker 2: a moment where these men and the some of those

3:00 Speaker 2: wicked people from this place, they come over and they

3:04 Speaker 2: start attacking Lot because they want to have sex with

3:10 Speaker 2: the two angels, the guests that Lot is having. So

3:14 Speaker 2: think about this. This place is filled with wickedness. This

3:16 Speaker 2: place is filled with a lot of people or everybody

3:20 Speaker 2: else who's into all sorts of wickedness. Here's the thing

3:23 Speaker 2: I wanted to understand. Look at the timing in such

3:27 Speaker 2: that when the two angels came into this city. None

3:32 Speaker 2: of the wicked people happened to see the two angels.

3:36 Speaker 2: It so happened that Lot was the one sitting there.

3:39 Speaker 2: Are you getting what I'm saying? It seems like a

3:41 Speaker 2: random incident, a random detail. But I love how God

3:46 Speaker 2: works through randomness. I love how God works through the

3:49 Speaker 2: thing that we think is just Oh, it's just so

3:52 Speaker 2: happens that. Oh, yes, Lot always loves to unwind sitting

3:55 Speaker 2: at the city gate. But what if that particular aspect

3:59 Speaker 2: of Lot sitting at the city gate was actually the

4:03 Speaker 2: thing that saved Lot and his family Because when the

4:06 Speaker 2: angels came, none of the evil people stayed in touch

4:10 Speaker 2: with the angel or tried to connect with the angel,

4:13 Speaker 2: but rather Lot connected with the angels. Are you getting

4:17 Speaker 2: what I'm saying? See, this is what I wanted to understand.

4:20 Speaker 2: That God is a god who works through randomness. God

4:23 Speaker 2: is a God who can work through the random details

4:26 Speaker 2: of your life. The things that you think are oh,

4:28 Speaker 2: it's just by coincidence, it's just random things. This doesn't

4:31 Speaker 2: make any sense. Nothing great can come out of this

4:34 Speaker 2: small detail. This guy likes to unwind by sitting by

4:37 Speaker 2: the city gate. But I want you to understand this

4:39 Speaker 2: important truth. Guys, we serve a God who can work

4:42 Speaker 2: through the most unusual or the most random details of

4:47 Speaker 2: our life.

4:48 Speaker 1: Today.

4:48 Speaker 2: Maybe you are someone who likes to unwind, maybe by

4:52 Speaker 2: going for a walk. I'm somebody like that. I low

4:55 Speaker 2: to unwind by going for a walk. And can I

4:57 Speaker 2: tell you something, So many times when I just go

4:59 Speaker 2: for and I'm speaking in tongues and just unwinding and

5:03 Speaker 2: just worshiping the Lord, just enjoying the breeze and all

5:07 Speaker 2: of that. How many times the Lord has spoken to

5:10 Speaker 2: me or minister to me, encountered me by just going

5:13 Speaker 2: for a walk. See think about this. God can speak

5:17 Speaker 2: to you. God can encounter you, God can meet you.

5:20 Speaker 2: God can turn your life around, even in the most

5:23 Speaker 2: unusual things of your life, even in the most random

5:27 Speaker 2: details of your life, the thing that you think, like, Okay,

5:30 Speaker 2: you know what, I just unwind by maybe going and

5:32 Speaker 2: watching a good movie once in a while. I unwind

5:35 Speaker 2: by just hanging out in this place once in a while.

5:37 Speaker 2: I just unwind by doing this particular hobby of mine

5:40 Speaker 2: once in a while. Maybe you unwind by doing something.

5:44 Speaker 2: But today I challenge you, why don't you commit even

5:47 Speaker 2: that into the hands of God, and God can even

5:50 Speaker 2: minister to you. God can even use that unwinding moment.

5:54 Speaker 2: God can use that random moment and the random detail

5:58 Speaker 2: to actually do a great work. See, this is a

6:03 Speaker 2: beautiful lesson we see from the life of Lord. And

6:06 Speaker 2: we're going to look at various things in the days

6:08 Speaker 2: to come. But think about this. A random detail that

6:11 Speaker 2: he was sitting by the gate when the two angels

6:15 Speaker 2: came as so much of significance to why God was

6:20 Speaker 2: able to use that detail to save him and his

6:24 Speaker 2: family from the destruction that was coming up on the land. Today,

6:29 Speaker 2: I want you to understand even the small details of

6:32 Speaker 2: your life, even the random moves of your life, when

6:35 Speaker 2: you're going for a walk, going to hang out, going

6:38 Speaker 2: for unwinding why don't you commit that into God's sense

6:41 Speaker 2: Because God can use even that detail to actually change

6:46 Speaker 2: the trajectory of your life. God can use even the

6:49 Speaker 2: minutest aspect of your life that you think is very insignificant.

6:54 Speaker 2: Is just your thing, it's just a random thing. But

6:57 Speaker 2: God can use it probably do something that will blow
