We're going to look at various lessons that we can take away from the life of Lord, especially revolving around Genesis chapter nineteen. See I want you to understand in Genesis chapter eighteen, there is a moment when Abraham is having a supernatural encounter through which he has an encounter with the Lord and he is saying, Lord, I realize that you want to destroy Sordom and Gomorrah because of the wickedness in this region.

1:16 Speaker 2: But what if there are righteous people there? What if there is somebody there who is still looking up to you. What if there is somebody stigning up for you. So he's reasoning out and having this conversation, and the Lord is showing that, you know what, even if there are a hundred people there who are standing up for me, I'm not going to destroy the place. If there are fifty, or even if there are ten, I'm not going to destroy the place. So in other sense, I want you to understand, God is a god of mercy.

1:42 Speaker 2: God is a god of second chances. God is a god who's saying, you know what, I'm not here trying to destroy. I'm here trying to preserve and conserve and redeem and so that you can fulfill the purpose for which I created you. But I wanted to understand in that context, when you look at verse one of Genesis nineteen, the same evening, two angels came to the entrance of the city of Sodom, And I want you to understand the timing. Here Lot was sitting there. Think about this. Think about this for a minute.

2:15 Speaker 2: Right, The two angels are coming to Sodom, and exactly when they're entering the city gate, Lot is sitting by the entrance. What are the odds of Lot sitting there? I want you to just think about this, because when you look at various lessons in the next couple of days, but what are the odds of Lot sitting there? Because I wanted to understand probably during this period, people used to work during the day, and they used to unwind by the evening, and maybe Lot's pastime or maybe his unwinding was to sit by the entrance of the city gate, because you see, even there, the city was filled with wickedness.

2:53 Speaker 2: If you see just down the couple of verses, you see there's a moment where these men and the some of those wicked people from this place, they come over and they start attacking Lot because they want to have sex with the two angels, the guests that Lot is having. So think about this. This place is filled with wickedness. This place is filled with a lot of people or everybody else who's into all sorts of wickedness. Here's the thing I wanted to understand. Look at the timing in such that when the two angels came into this city.

3:31 Speaker 2: None of the wicked people happened to see the two angels. It so happened that Lot was the one sitting there. Are you getting what I'm saying? It seems like a random incident, a random detail. But I love how God works through randomness. I love how God works through the thing that we think is just Oh, it's just so happens that. Oh, yes, Lot always loves to unwind sitting at the city gate. But what if that particular aspect of Lot sitting at the city gate was actually the thing that saved Lot and his family Because when the angels came, none of the evil people stayed in touch with the angel or tried to connect with the angel, but rather Lot connected with the angels.

4:16 Speaker 2: Are you getting what I'm saying? See, this is what I wanted to understand. That God is a god who works through randomness. God is a God who can work through the random details of your life. The things that you think are oh, it's just by coincidence, it's just random things. This doesn't make any sense. Nothing great can come out of this small detail. This guy likes to unwind by sitting by the city gate. But I want you to understand this important truth. Guys, we serve a God who can work through the most unusual or the most random details of our life.

4:48 Speaker 2: Maybe you are someone who likes to unwind, maybe by going for a walk. I'm somebody like that. I low to unwind by going for a walk. And can I tell you something, So many times when I just go for and I'm speaking in tongues and just unwinding and just worshiping the Lord, just enjoying the breeze and all of that. How many times the Lord has spoken to me or minister to me, encountered me by just going for a walk. See think about this. God can speak to you. God can encounter you, God can meet you. God can turn your life around, even in the most unusual things of your life, even in the most random details of your life, the thing that you think, like, Okay, you know what, I just unwind by maybe going and watching a good movie once in a while.

5:34 Speaker 2: I unwind by just hanging out in this place once in a while. I just unwind by doing this particular hobby of mine once in a while. Maybe you unwind by doing something. But today I challenge you, why don't you commit even that into the hands of God, and God can even minister to you. God can even use that unwinding moment. God can use that random moment and the random detail to actually do a great work. See, this is a beautiful lesson we see from the life of Lord. And we're going to look at various things in the days to come.

6:08 Speaker 2: But think about this. A random detail that he was sitting by the gate when the two angels came as so much of significance to why God was able to use that detail to save him and his family from the destruction that was coming up on the land. Today, I want you to understand even the small details of your life, even the random moves of your life, when you're going for a walk, going to hang out, going for unwinding why don't you commit that into God's sense Because God can use even that detail to actually change the trajectory of your life.

6:48 Speaker 2: God can use even the minutest aspect of your life that you think is very insignificant. Is just your thing, it's just a random thing. But God can use it probably do something that will blow your mind.
