Speaker 1: Welcome to Fuel for the Soul with John.
Speaker 2: Gift Gift Podcast. If you've been checking out our episodes
Speaker 2: for this week, we've been doing various lessons we can
Speaker 2: take away on the aspect of the Holy Spirit. Remember
Speaker 2: that this Sunday is going to be Pentacrost Sunday, the
Speaker 2: day a lot of people technically remember the Holy Spirit.
Speaker 2: But I want to just talk about this important aspect
Speaker 2: right Like when you look at the scripture that says
Speaker 2: in Romans eight, verse fourteen, for those who are led
Speaker 2: by the Spirit are sons of God, you know, which
Speaker 2: is a classic thing where the Bible says that we
Speaker 2: need to be led by the Holy Spirit. When you
Speaker 2: look at Galatians five or sixteen, it says that we
Speaker 2: need to walk in the spirit and we will not
Speaker 2: gratify the desires of the flesh. And if you look
Speaker 2: at John sixteen thirteen, again, this is what it says.
Speaker 2: When the spirit of truth comes, he will guide you
Speaker 2: into all the truths. So these are different scriptures talking
Speaker 2: about guidance, being led, and being in that place where
Speaker 2: you're walking in the spirit. So today you may be
Speaker 2: in a place in your life where you're saying, John,
Speaker 2: how do I apply this in my life? How do
Speaker 2: I walk in the spirit? How do I be in
Speaker 2: a place where I'm led by the Holy Spirit? Right? See,
Speaker 2: I want to understand. Imagine you are driving a vehicle
Speaker 2: from one city to another. Imagine you're traveling from let's
Speaker 2: say Bangalore in India all the way to Mumbai in India.
Speaker 2: Right Like, just imagine, So you're driving and there are
Speaker 2: two options available for you. One option is the owner
Speaker 2: of the vehicle is saying, you know what, yes, the vehicle,
Speaker 2: you just follow this map and you'll be able to
Speaker 2: reach Right. That's a great option for you. You can
Speaker 2: follow the map and you will be able to reach.
Speaker 2: But the problem is it may tell you all the
Speaker 2: fuel stations on the way, it will tell you all
Speaker 2: the different restaurants on the way, but the map cannot
Speaker 2: tell you which field station gives you good fuel and
Speaker 2: which one gives you an adulterated fuel. The map will
Speaker 2: not tell you which restaurant serves the food that you
Speaker 2: may like and which one serves food which may not
Speaker 2: be good. Right, the map will be very generic, and
Speaker 2: you do not know what to do in the map
Speaker 2: if you maybe missed the route, or maybe you have
Speaker 2: a diversion, or there's some roadblock, you don't know what
Speaker 2: to do. So the second option the owner gives you
Speaker 2: is he says, listen, I will drive the route for
Speaker 2: you because I know this way. I've been through this way.
Speaker 2: You just sit and relax. I will drive because I
Speaker 2: know this is way very well, so I know which
Speaker 2: fuel station is good, I know which restaurant is good
Speaker 2: serves your taste. So you just sit back and relax.
Speaker 2: Which option would you choose? You would say, obviously, second
Speaker 2: one seems like the best deal. Right. You don't have
Speaker 2: to worry about anything, because the owner the one who's
Speaker 2: going to drive He's going to take care of everything.
Speaker 2: He's going to take care of you. He's going to
Speaker 2: take care of the vehicle, right, So I want you
Speaker 2: to understand. On a similar note, the Bible says God
Speaker 2: is saying, you know what, I will lead you. I
Speaker 2: will teach you, I will give you, lead you through
Speaker 2: the best part of your life. Who's saying that, the
Speaker 2: Holy Spirit. He's going to be the one who's leading you.
Speaker 2: He's saying, I will guide you into all the truth.
Speaker 2: I will tell you which is the true place to
Speaker 2: go for your meals, for the fuel, for in case
Speaker 2: of diverse or roadblocks, what route to take. I will
Speaker 2: take care of everything. So my question is when you
Speaker 2: have two options of you blindly following you know, like
Speaker 2: theoretical knowledge, like how do I do this? How do
Speaker 2: I handle this? Can you go to that place where
Speaker 2: you say, Holy Spirit, I want to depend on you
Speaker 2: to lead me. You lead me through the best part
Speaker 2: of my life. I don't know how to do this.
Speaker 2: Guard I can't do this on my own. I want
Speaker 2: you to lead me. I want you to guide me.
Speaker 2: I want you to teach me. So the more you
Speaker 2: start depending on the Holy Spirit, what happens is he
Speaker 2: will start guiding you. He will start leading you. He
Speaker 2: will tell you, listen, don't go in this way, go
Speaker 2: in that way. Don't go now, go later. He will
Speaker 2: start directing every step of your life. The Bible talks
Speaker 2: about in Proverbs three, verse the five, and six. When
Speaker 2: you see right, it says, acknowledge him in all your ways,
Speaker 2: and he will direct your steps. In one of the translations,
Speaker 2: it says he will crown your efforts with success. That
Speaker 2: going to happen when you start allowing the Holy Spirit
Speaker 2: to lead you, he will tell you, don't go now,
Speaker 2: go later. There was the time I remember when I
Speaker 2: was in the university. I had to go and get
Speaker 2: a registration done because of the examinations that were coming up.
Speaker 2: And for me, my general nature is I want to
Speaker 2: get it done, come back, sit and study for exam.
Speaker 2: But when I asked the Holy Spirit, Holy Spirit, shall
Speaker 2: I go now or not? The Holy Spirit clearly told
Speaker 2: me don't go now, go in the afternoon. I said, God,
Speaker 2: but it's going to be more hot. How will I
Speaker 2: manage in the heat. But he said, no, I'm go
Speaker 2: in the afternoon. So even though everyone else went in
Speaker 2: the morning, I stayed back and I was studying, and
Speaker 2: I went in the afternoon. What had happened was another
Speaker 2: registration had to be done, and all who went in
Speaker 2: the morning had to come back again in the afternoon
Speaker 2: and do the second registration, Whereas when I went in
Speaker 2: the afternoon, I could do both in one go. See
Speaker 2: it's just a simple thing. But the Holy Spirit was
Speaker 2: leading me when I allowed him to leave me and say,
Speaker 2: don't go now, go in the afternoon. See that's the
Speaker 2: way the Holy Spirit wants to lead you in everything.
Speaker 2: Don't go now, go later. Talk to this person, go
Speaker 2: in this direction today, don't take that road. So, even
Speaker 2: in simple things, when you start allowing the Holy Spirit
Speaker 2: to lead you, you will see how he's going to
Speaker 2: be helping you live the victorious life that Christ came
Speaker 2: to give you. So my challenge is that even as
Speaker 2: we step into this week before Pentecostal Sunday, I want
Speaker 2: you to make the Holy Spirit a reality of your life,
Speaker 2: not just a textbook version of the Holy Spirit, not
Speaker 2: just theoretical knowledge, not just mere assumption, not just a
Speaker 2: topic for you to discuss once in a while, but
Speaker 2: to become a part and parcel of your life, and
Speaker 2: your life will never be the same for the better. Amen.
Speaker 2: I really challenge you to leave a comment if you're
Speaker 2: checking this out on YouTube, share this episode up with
Speaker 2: someone so that they can be blessed as well, and
Speaker 2: I will see you back very soon. God bless you.
