0:44 Speaker 2: Gift Gift Podcast. If you've been checking out our episodes for this week, we've been doing various lessons we can take away on the aspect of the Holy Spirit. Remember that this Sunday is going to be Pentacrost Sunday, the day a lot of people technically remember the Holy Spirit. But I want to just talk about this important aspect right Like when you look at the scripture that says in Romans eight, verse fourteen, for those who are led by the Spirit are sons of God, you know, which is a classic thing where the Bible says that we need to be led by the Holy Spirit.

1:14 Speaker 2: When you look at Galatians five or sixteen, it says that we need to walk in the spirit and we will not gratify the desires of the flesh. And if you look at John sixteen thirteen, again, this is what it says. When the spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truths. So these are different scriptures talking about guidance, being led, and being in that place where you're walking in the spirit. So today you may be in a place in your life where you're saying, John, how do I apply this in my life?

1:48 Speaker 2: How do I walk in the spirit? How do I be in a place where I'm led by the Holy Spirit? Right? See, I want to understand. Imagine you are driving a vehicle from one city to another. Imagine you're traveling from let's say Bangalore in India all the way to Mumbai in India. Right Like, just imagine, So you're driving and there are two options available for you. One option is the owner of the vehicle is saying, you know what, yes, the vehicle, you just follow this map and you'll be able to reach Right.

2:19 Speaker 2: That's a great option for you. You can follow the map and you will be able to reach. But the problem is it may tell you all the fuel stations on the way, it will tell you all the different restaurants on the way, but the map cannot tell you which field station gives you good fuel and which one gives you an adulterated fuel. The map will not tell you which restaurant serves the food that you may like and which one serves food which may not be good. Right, the map will be very generic, and you do not know what to do in the map if you maybe missed the route, or maybe you have a diversion, or there's some roadblock, you don't know what to do.

2:55 Speaker 2: So the second option the owner gives you is he says, listen, I will drive the route for you because I know this way. I've been through this way. You just sit and relax. I will drive because I know this is way very well, so I know which fuel station is good, I know which restaurant is good serves your taste. So you just sit back and relax. Which option would you choose? You would say, obviously, second one seems like the best deal. Right. You don't have to worry about anything, because the owner the one who's going to drive He's going to take care of everything.

3:29 Speaker 2: He's going to take care of you. He's going to take care of the vehicle, right, So I want you to understand. On a similar note, the Bible says God is saying, you know what, I will lead you. I will teach you, I will give you, lead you through the best part of your life. Who's saying that, the Holy Spirit. He's going to be the one who's leading you. He's saying, I will guide you into all the truth. I will tell you which is the true place to go for your meals, for the fuel, for in case of diverse or roadblocks, what route to take.

4:02 Speaker 2: I will take care of everything. So my question is when you have two options of you blindly following you know, like theoretical knowledge, like how do I do this? How do I handle this? Can you go to that place where you say, Holy Spirit, I want to depend on you to lead me. You lead me through the best part of my life. I don't know how to do this. Guard I can't do this on my own. I want you to lead me. I want you to guide me. I want you to teach me. So the more you start depending on the Holy Spirit, what happens is he will start guiding you.

4:35 Speaker 2: He will start leading you. He will tell you, listen, don't go in this way, go in that way. Don't go now, go later. He will start directing every step of your life. The Bible talks about in Proverbs three, verse the five, and six. When you see right, it says, acknowledge him in all your ways, and he will direct your steps. In one of the translations, it says he will crown your efforts with success. That going to happen when you start allowing the Holy Spirit to lead you, he will tell you, don't go now, go later.

5:06 Speaker 2: There was the time I remember when I was in the university. I had to go and get a registration done because of the examinations that were coming up. And for me, my general nature is I want to get it done, come back, sit and study for exam. But when I asked the Holy Spirit, Holy Spirit, shall I go now or not? The Holy Spirit clearly told me don't go now, go in the afternoon. I said, God, but it's going to be more hot. How will I manage in the heat. But he said, no, I'm go in the afternoon. So even though everyone else went in the morning, I stayed back and I was studying, and I went in the afternoon.

5:41 Speaker 2: What had happened was another registration had to be done, and all who went in the morning had to come back again in the afternoon and do the second registration, Whereas when I went in the afternoon, I could do both in one go. See it's just a simple thing. But the Holy Spirit was leading me when I allowed him to leave me and say, don't go now, go in the afternoon. See that's the way the Holy Spirit wants to lead you in everything. Don't go now, go later. Talk to this person, go in this direction today, don't take that road.

6:13 Speaker 2: So, even in simple things, when you start allowing the Holy Spirit to lead you, you will see how he's going to be helping you live the victorious life that Christ came to give you. So my challenge is that even as we step into this week before Pentecostal Sunday, I want you to make the Holy Spirit a reality of your life, not just a textbook version of the Holy Spirit, not just theoretical knowledge, not just mere assumption, not just a topic for you to discuss once in a while, but to become a part and parcel of your life, and your life will never be the same for the better.
