0:16 Speaker 1: am I going to do? It's all about themselves. But

0:19 Speaker 1: I believe that each one of us are called for

0:21 Speaker 1: a purpose. And that's the essence of my second best seller,

0:25 Speaker 1: which I wrote on Bail Your Purpose, because I want

0:27 Speaker 1: people to understand that every single one here is your

0:31 Speaker 1: buyer purpose for a purpose by God, and that's very

0:35 Speaker 1: unique to each and every one of us. And I

0:38 Speaker 1: really love the fact that you know you are on

0:40 Speaker 1: the same lines with it. You know when I check

0:42 Speaker 1: out your YouTube channel. The first introduction that start with

0:46 Speaker 1: is that everybody is a messenger of God. Everybody has

0:49 Speaker 1: a unique calling, has a purpose. It doesn't have to

0:51 Speaker 1: be on a purpose.

0:52 Speaker 3: The way you shine the light that God gave you

0:55 Speaker 3: in all spaces that He's trusted you to walk. Wherever

0:59 Speaker 3: you are, you have the responsibility to shine God's light

1:03 Speaker 3: in that space.

1:05 Speaker 1: And I resonate with that a million times because I

1:07 Speaker 1: believe in the same thing that you know. You know,

1:10 Speaker 1: purpose is not just started church or a ministry or

1:13 Speaker 1: a charitable organization. It's about being the light in the darkness.

1:17 Speaker 1: It can be in the entertainment industry and you know

1:20 Speaker 1: to recently, I interviewed an Olibod Disney actress who also

1:24 Speaker 1: has a ministry, Gabriella Graves. I also interviewed another actor

1:28 Speaker 1: from Nigeria from our Kings of Comedy. He's a lead

1:31 Speaker 1: actor and he also prays and he makes content so

1:36 Speaker 1: that through entertainment and through those things, he wants to

1:39 Speaker 1: share the word of God. So I believe in being

1:42 Speaker 1: a person who is not just this, you know, this

1:45 Speaker 1: spiritual person. You know what, Oh I'm so holdly, you know,

1:48 Speaker 1: stuff like that that you're so unapproachable. But we need

1:52 Speaker 1: to get to a place where each one of us

1:54 Speaker 1: have a purpose in different areas. And my heart is

1:56 Speaker 1: the same whether it's politics or entertainment or somebody maybe

2:00 Speaker 1: in the education or somebody else in leadership. We need

2:03 Speaker 1: to go out into the world, into the dark places

2:05 Speaker 1: and start living out a purpose. So that's your heart

2:09 Speaker 1: as well. So what you got to had onto this.

2:12 Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, I so much. But I think what

2:15 Speaker 3: you said was so beautiful about It's like even the

2:18 Speaker 3: title of your book Unveil your Purpose, right, like so

2:22 Speaker 3: beautifully r you think the process of unveiling, it's not

2:26 Speaker 3: always it's not easy, it's it's not pain free. Yes,

2:30 Speaker 3: Christ lives in us, but to tap into that and

2:33 Speaker 3: for us to look more like Him, there's a process

2:35 Speaker 3: of unbecoming and that can be really painful, that can

2:40 Speaker 3: be really excruciating. I think about in agriculture, and my

2:45 Speaker 3: preacher talked about this on Sunday. But you know, in

2:46 Speaker 3: the process of agriculture, like the when a seed takes root,

2:51 Speaker 3: there can't be any stones in the ground and in

2:53 Speaker 3: the soil. And he said one time he was farming

2:55 Speaker 3: and the seed wasn't growing pu there were these massive

2:58 Speaker 3: stones way onunderneath the soil preventing its growth. And I think,

3:02 Speaker 3: you know, that process of unveiling looks a lot like

3:05 Speaker 3: God removing stones out of our soil so we become

3:09 Speaker 3: good soil. But that's really hard and that's really painful.

3:13 Speaker 3: When even if your stone is your ministry, how many

3:17 Speaker 3: people you baptized on a regular basis how much you

3:20 Speaker 3: know about the Bible. It's like knowing about God versus

3:23 Speaker 3: knowing God. But I think about the blessing of trials

3:28 Speaker 3: and the blessings of test. You know, Jacob and Esau.

3:31 Speaker 3: I love the story of Jacob in Hissau, and you know,

3:34 Speaker 3: Esau says in the Bible like God loved Jacob, he

3:36 Speaker 3: hated Esau. While that word hated and Hebrew actually means

3:39 Speaker 3: more like just God withdrew his favor. His favor wasn't

3:42 Speaker 3: on Esau. However, you look at the story of Esau.

3:45 Speaker 3: Esau was blessed man like he had he was so wealthy,

3:49 Speaker 3: he had so much stuff, and so by every nature

3:52 Speaker 3: of the world, it looked like God's favor was on Esau.

3:55 Speaker 3: So what's the difference between Jacob and Esau. Well, Jacob

3:58 Speaker 3: went through a lot more trials than Esan and so

4:01 Speaker 3: through the trials he unbecame everything he never was to

4:04 Speaker 3: die looking more like his savior. And that's what you know.

4:08 Speaker 3: So the next time you go through a trial, you

4:10 Speaker 3: go through a test, you go through that unveiling. It

4:12 Speaker 3: doesn't feel good, but what a blessing because with each

4:17 Speaker 3: you know, chivl of the sculpture. I'm becoming and looking

4:20 Speaker 3: more like my Savior. And because of that, you know,

4:23 Speaker 3: you have like the lights inside of you from your spirit,

4:27 Speaker 3: and so with each crack, which with each break, you

4:30 Speaker 3: can shine that light in in the area. Whether you're

4:32 Speaker 3: an actress, whether you're an engineer, whether you're a salesperson,

4:36 Speaker 3: wherever you go, like you're serving God just as much

4:39 Speaker 3: as you're at your nine to five as you are

4:42 Speaker 3: when you're preaching in a pulpit. It's where you shine

4:45 Speaker 3: His light wherever you are.

4:48 Speaker 2: That's so true, That's so true.

4:50 Speaker 1: I just love the wing you gave an example of Yeah,

4:53 Speaker 1: you know people thinking that. You know, sometimes I've seen

4:55 Speaker 1: when they talk about purpose, people say, well, I just

4:58 Speaker 1: I just want to jump into it because I'm lazy.

5:00 Speaker 1: I don't want to go to one nine to five job,

5:01 Speaker 1: you know, I want to it's not a podcast so

5:03 Speaker 1: that I can become a millionaire in three months and

5:05 Speaker 1: quit my job.

5:07 Speaker 2: I'm like, you know, I've been doing this for a

5:09 Speaker 2: long time. People, It's not as easy as it looks.

5:12 Speaker 3: Well, And immediately can Roger going to say, like I

5:15 Speaker 3: can relate to you on that, like I told you

5:16 Speaker 3: this before, but like, I work a full time job

5:18 Speaker 3: and I write my books and in my podcast, and

5:21 Speaker 3: I hear the same thing. I mean, I'm twenty six,

5:22 Speaker 3: so it is like my generation that I hear all

5:25 Speaker 3: the time. I just want to do a podcast. Some

5:27 Speaker 3: people think I do it full time. I'm like absolutely

5:29 Speaker 3: not like, but I think sometimes it's one. Your purpose

5:32 Speaker 3: is you're called to Jesus Christ. You're called to a person.

5:36 Speaker 3: The beauty of that is that never changes no matter

5:39 Speaker 3: if you're a mom, if you're a dad, if you're

5:40 Speaker 3: a corporate worker, if you were a cousin, if you're

5:42 Speaker 3: a daughter, if you're a podcast host. Your purpose remains

5:45 Speaker 3: the same. The expression of that will change based off

5:48 Speaker 3: of your season. One season, I was a college athlete,

5:51 Speaker 3: that was my expression of my purpose, which is always

5:54 Speaker 3: to know Christ. Now obviously I'm not a college athlete,

5:56 Speaker 3: but I didn't lose my purpose because my purpose it's

5:59 Speaker 3: a person and that's Jesus and to make him known.

6:02 Speaker 1: God just uses us in our generation in the very

6:06 Speaker 1: unique space and in a very different way. And it's

6:09 Speaker 1: not an easy thing, like you know, it's it's unveiling,

6:12 Speaker 1: is like, it's a process. It's and I think it's

6:15 Speaker 1: more about coming down to ourselves, discovery.

6:18 Speaker 2: Who we are, what is the thing that we are

6:20 Speaker 2: born to do? Like simple thing.

6:21 Speaker 3: You know.

6:22 Speaker 1: Earlier this year, I realized that I need to go

6:25 Speaker 1: into some kind of fitness because I was getting out

6:27 Speaker 1: of shape, and because you know, the Bible is clear right,

6:31 Speaker 1: you know, your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit.

6:34 Speaker 1: And I realized gym is not my thing, you know,

6:36 Speaker 1: running sports is not my thing.

6:38 Speaker 2: Uh.

6:39 Speaker 1: And then I loved I love water, and I just

6:42 Speaker 1: realized that. And I'm a big fan of the you

6:45 Speaker 1: know movie or this aspect of Titanic. So I'm like, well,

6:48 Speaker 1: you know what, I love water, So let me try swimming.

6:51 Speaker 1: And so it was a way to trick my mind.

6:53 Speaker 1: I realized that that every time I swim from one

6:55 Speaker 1: corner to the other, I just feel like, you know,

6:57 Speaker 1: the ship is sinking, you know, swim fart, swim far,

7:00 Speaker 1: so you think way of uh, you know, like just

7:05 Speaker 1: tuning my brain to think that way. Now, you know,

7:07 Speaker 1: I just completed six months of swimming, and I turned.

7:10 Speaker 2: Down and I look attracted now, you know.

7:13 Speaker 1: In a way, it's a sense of self discovery, right,

7:17 Speaker 1: I found what works for me and now it's working

7:20 Speaker 1: out for me. You know, like you said, Uh, your

7:24 Speaker 1: God's favor works only in the field that God has

7:26 Speaker 1: called you for. You know, people just say, you know,

7:28 Speaker 1: all things work to work together for good. You know, yeah,

7:31 Speaker 1: that's part of the words. But when you are called

7:33 Speaker 1: according to his purpose, you know, only when you are

7:36 Speaker 1: in the field that you're called to. You know, when

7:38 Speaker 1: you're in that purpose that God has called you, that's

7:41 Speaker 1: where all things are going to work together for good.

7:43 Speaker 1: It was when we talk about you know, like I said,

7:47 Speaker 1: Christian Singer, one of the topics people talked about this,

7:49 Speaker 1: Ruth and Boaz, right, it's it's not that just by

7:53 Speaker 1: accident they ended up meeting.

7:54 Speaker 2: It was in the field that they met.

7:57 Speaker 1: If Ruth was sitting and just crying, oh, man's she

8:00 Speaker 1: has to keep putting ashtang waiting for my boys, and.

8:03 Speaker 2: She'll still be waiting today. Why she had to go

8:08 Speaker 2: to the field.

8:09 Speaker 1: And boys also had to be not like, oh, I'm

8:12 Speaker 1: the rich guy, I'm the ruler, you know, why should

8:14 Speaker 1: I go to the field, you know and let my

8:15 Speaker 1: workers work. But he was not from place and he

8:17 Speaker 1: went to the field. And that's how boys and Ruth

8:20 Speaker 1: mean so sometimes we need to go to the field

8:23 Speaker 1: of purpose that God has for us. That's where favor comes.

8:26 Speaker 1: That's where we see things work out, that's where we

8:29 Speaker 1: see God align things, and that's how things will actually

8:33 Speaker 1: be more effective.

8:34 Speaker 2: That's how God will start using a.

8:35 Speaker 1: Lot of people just say God, use me, use me,

8:37 Speaker 1: use me. But if you're just a parked card, God

8:40 Speaker 1: cannot use it. You need to keep moving. Then God

8:42 Speaker 1: is going to start using you.

8:43 Speaker 3: So everything he said, I just I'm like, amen, Like

8:48 Speaker 3: take me the church. That's awesome.
