ISAIAH SAID WHAT?! 😱 Disappointed by People? | King Hezekiah Part 2 | John Giftah | Christian Sermon
Tonight's Episode
Have you ever been deeply disappointed by someone you looked up to? 🛡️🔥In Part 2 of our series on King Hezekiah, we look at the moment the mighty Prophet Isaiah visited the King on his deathbed. Instead of a prayer or a miracle, Isaiah simply said, "Set your affairs in order; you are going to die," and then he left.
I share a vulnerable story about a cold encounter I had with a well-known minister and why we must stop chasing human approval. If you’ve been hurt by church leaders, friends, or family who abandoned you in your time of need, this word is for you. It’s time to stop looking at your "Isaiahs" and start looking at your GOD.

Speaker 1: Do you ever look around and think, Wow, the world
Speaker 1: is a crazy place and it just seems to get
Speaker 1: crazier and crazier. Ease your mind and take a break.
Speaker 1: This is Fuel for the Soul with John Gifta. We're
Speaker 1: a hub for inspirational Christian sermons, practical keys for Christian living,
Speaker 1: and Christian discussions and interviews. You'll be inspired to live
Speaker 1: the life that you were created for. Your host is
Speaker 1: a top ranking podcaster, best selling author, world record holder,
Speaker 1: aerospace engineer, life coach, evangelist and founder of John Gifta International.
Speaker 1: Welcome to Fuel for the Soul with John Gifta.
Speaker 2: Hello everyone, Welcome to this edition of the Fuel for
Speaker 2: the Soul with John Gifta podcast. All through this week
Speaker 2: we are looking at various lessons that we can take
Speaker 2: away from Second King, Chapter twenty, revolving around the story
Speaker 2: of Hezekiah. Yesterday I spoke to you about how this
Speaker 2: king has Akiah was in a very deadly situation. I
Speaker 2: really challenge you to go back to it, because if
Speaker 2: you are facing a deadly situation in your life, God
Speaker 2: has a word for you that will encourage you, bless you,
Speaker 2: and probably through that through that word, you might actually
Speaker 2: receive the miracle that you've been praying and hoping for
Speaker 2: as well. So the thing I want to talk about
Speaker 2: is when he is ill, the Bible says that the
Speaker 2: prophet Isaiah visited him. Think about this. If you are sick,
Speaker 2: what would you allow to see? You would be so
Speaker 2: happy if a pastor visited you. You would be so
Speaker 2: happy if a prophet visited you, or even more so,
Speaker 2: if you're sick, you would be even more filled with joy.
Speaker 3: If an ealing evangelist visited you.
Speaker 2: Right For example, if you wet to say, you know,
Speaker 2: like you're sick and you see that suddenly Benny Him
Speaker 2: visits you, You'll be like, oh my gosh, this healing
Speaker 2: evangelist through whom God has used to bless and heals
Speaker 2: so many people, he's visiting me. Or in Indian context,
Speaker 2: like you're saying, oh wow, doctor Paul Dinakaran is coming
Speaker 2: and visiting me.
Speaker 3: You'll be so filled with joy.
Speaker 2: Right, So I want you to understand the magnitude at twist
Speaker 2: you look at somebody and say, wow, this minister, this
Speaker 2: man of God, this healing evangelist, this prophet. That is
Speaker 2: how Prophet Isaiah was. He was a mighty prophet. He
Speaker 2: was a prophet in this place that it was well known,
Speaker 2: and this prophet is visiting the king in his deathbed.
Speaker 2: You may be feeling like, you know what if the
Speaker 2: prophet comes, I'm sure I'm going to get some good use.
Speaker 2: I'm sure the prophet is going to do a miracle.
Speaker 2: I'm sure the prophet is going to probably pray for me.
Speaker 2: But you're saying I wanted to understand. The prophet Isaiah
Speaker 2: went to visit him, and he gave the message to
Speaker 2: the king saying, this is what the Lord says, set
Speaker 2: your affairs in order for you are going to die.
Speaker 2: You're not going to recover from this. Oh, I want
Speaker 2: you to understand this.
Speaker 3: This is so powerful.
Speaker 2: When as the Kiyah was sick, the mighty Prophet came,
Speaker 2: probably is Sakiah would have felt very happy, Wow, the
Speaker 2: prophet has come. But when the prophet came, what did
Speaker 2: he do?
Speaker 3: He just told him, man, you gotta die.
Speaker 2: I mean, can you imagine how King Isakiah would have
Speaker 2: felt at that moment. All his oops were crushed because
Speaker 2: he thought, yes, my situation is bad, but God has
Speaker 2: sent a prophet to me.
Speaker 3: Maybe God is going to heal me.
Speaker 2: Maybe the prophet is going to pray for me, maybe
Speaker 2: I'm going to receive a miracle that I'm going to
Speaker 2: talk about.
Speaker 3: But what happened. The prophet does not even pray for him.
Speaker 3: Can you imagine the disappointment?
Speaker 2: Like you would think like Isaiah should have, at least
Speaker 2: on courtesy grounds, prayed for Heakiah.
Speaker 3: But Saya just came and said you're going to die.
Speaker 3: I mean, like how mean it would have felt.
Speaker 2: I mean, on a side note, this is a word
Speaker 2: for Christian leaders, ministers, or if you're someone ministering to people,
Speaker 2: this is a word for you, Okay, even if you're
Speaker 2: praying for the sake, or you're praying for somebody in
Speaker 2: a tough situation and you know by for knowledge that
Speaker 2: probably the person who's going to die, or you know,
Speaker 2: by for knowledge that they're going to go through tough times.
Speaker 2: You know, even if you have to speak that, I
Speaker 2: pray that God will give you the wisdom to speak
Speaker 2: it with compassion.
Speaker 3: The Bible says speak the.
Speaker 2: Truth with love, but that was lacking with this prophet Isaiah.
Speaker 2: He just came and said you got to die, man.
Speaker 2: I mean, as a kind of could have felt like
Speaker 2: I already know I'm going to die. I didn't want
Speaker 2: you to come and repeat the same thing to me
Speaker 2: I did. I mean, I thought you would give me
Speaker 2: some good news.
Speaker 3: Today. I want to ask you this question.
Speaker 2: Other people in your life that you hoped would bless you,
Speaker 2: who hoped that they would stand by you. You were
Speaker 2: hoping that will encourage you. You are hoping that they
Speaker 2: will at least pray for you, but in reality, they
Speaker 2: just came and gave you some word which was not
Speaker 2: even having any sense of compassion, that was not even
Speaker 2: having any sensitivity to the need that I'm in. And
Speaker 2: they're just saying something and they're leaving. Do you feel
Speaker 2: disappointed by that?
Speaker 3: This is a word for you.
Speaker 2: If you're feeling disappointed by maybe a pastor or a leader,
Speaker 2: or a Christian, or maybe you're disappointed by a people.
Speaker 2: Maybe you're disappointed by your close ones, your family, your
Speaker 2: friends that you thought would stand by you, but instead
Speaker 2: of standing by you, they just came and gave you
Speaker 2: a word saying, hey, they're gonna die, and then they
Speaker 2: just leave. That's what this money profit did. I want
Speaker 2: to pray in Jesus if you're feeling like that, I
Speaker 2: pray right now in the name of Jesus, that you
Speaker 2: will be encouraged, that you will understand. That is why
Speaker 2: we should not look up to mad because man can
Speaker 2: put us down. Like sometimes we look up to certain
Speaker 2: people and be like, oh wow, this person is so good,
Speaker 2: this person is so good, and like I've seen this
Speaker 2: so many times when you see them on stage and
Speaker 2: you're like, oh wow, this person is so friendly, this
Speaker 2: person is so good, they are so spiritual, there so this,
Speaker 2: But when you try to meet them in person, they're
Speaker 2: so difficult to even have a conversation.
Speaker 3: I remember just.
Speaker 2: A couple of months ago, I happened to go to
Speaker 2: a prayer meeting where this particular minister came and she
Speaker 2: was preaching a very powerful word and she shared about
Speaker 2: her heart for souls and all of that. And then
Speaker 2: at the end of the meeting, somebody took me over
Speaker 2: to meet with her to say that this guy is
Speaker 2: also having a ministry, he has a heart for souls
Speaker 2: and all of that. So he took me to her,
Speaker 2: and that lady was like, what is your problem? I
Speaker 2: was like what, She's like, what is it? I said, No,
Speaker 2: I don't have any problem. I just came to say
Speaker 2: that I have a ministry. She's like, so what she
Speaker 2: was so cold to even have a normal conversation. You
Speaker 2: get what I'm saying, Like, at that point, I could
Speaker 2: have felt like, oh man, what is the point of this?
Speaker 2: You know, this is why I was telling you guys.
Speaker 2: You know, if you're into ministry, if you're you know,
Speaker 2: into dealing with people, encouraging people more, be they the
Speaker 2: sure that you are sensitive to people. Don't be cold.
Speaker 2: Don't be on that high standard like oh guys, you
Speaker 2: know you're looking down at people. Don't do that. Okay,
Speaker 2: that's what is a lesson from Isaiah. That's another sermon
Speaker 2: maybe we can cover later. But if you're feeling disappointed
Speaker 2: today as an individual, like as a kayah, where you
Speaker 2: feel like I was hoping this person would at least
Speaker 2: pray for me. I was hoping for a miracle, but
Speaker 2: this person crushed me.
Speaker 3: I challenge you to stop looking up to people.
Speaker 2: Stop looking up to people, because I remember as time
Speaker 2: when in ministry, when you're growing and as a budding minister.
Speaker 2: I so hope that you know, these ministers would also
Speaker 2: understand that, you know, we're all building God's kingdom together, right.
Speaker 2: I always tell people I'm not here to build my empire.
Speaker 2: I'm not here to build my name. It's all about
Speaker 2: building the name of Jesus and this kingdom. Right, I'm
Speaker 2: using my gifts. I'm using the gifts and talents and
Speaker 2: the revelations God has shared with me to bless the world.
Speaker 2: But at the same time, I'm not saying I'm indispensable.
Speaker 2: I believe that God has given me certain gifts that
Speaker 2: you can learn from, be encouraged to deified, and you
Speaker 2: can see that God is using.
Speaker 3: These to help you in your time if need.
Speaker 2: But at the same time, God may use somebody else
Speaker 2: for something else. You know, maybe you want to learn
Speaker 2: certain things you may learn through another minister. Maybe you
Speaker 2: need to grow in fellowship, you need to go through
Speaker 2: your church. And so they are different things, right. So,
Speaker 2: there used to be moments that'd be like, I thought
Speaker 2: these pastors or these ministry leaders would stand by me,
Speaker 2: encourage me, support me, But the response I would get
Speaker 2: would be so cool, you'd be so indifferent. I would
Speaker 2: feel like, oh my gosh, this is not the way
Speaker 2: I thought it should be. I thought we were all
Speaker 2: together to build the Kingdom of God. I used to
Speaker 2: be disappointed till one point I realized, stop looking up
Speaker 2: to people. People can disappoint you. Ministers can disappoint you.
Speaker 2: This is a word to tell you that if you're hurt,
Speaker 2: stop looking up to them. You know what Heekaiah did.
Speaker 2: Heekiah did not beg Isaiah saying hey, Isaiah, please pray
Speaker 2: for me. Hesakiyah did not tell Isaiah Isaiah, come on,
Speaker 2: speak to the Lord and change the word from.
Speaker 3: The Lord for me. That's not what Isakayah. Did you
Speaker 3: know what he did?
Speaker 2: The Bible says in verse two, when Isakaiah heard this,
Speaker 2: he turned his face to the wall and prayed.
Speaker 3: To the Lord. This is a word for you.
Speaker 2: Isekiah did not talk to Isaiah about the problem. Isekiah
Speaker 2: spoke to God about the problem.
Speaker 3: This is a word for you.
Speaker 2: If you're disappointed by people, if you're hurt because people
Speaker 2: are not standing by you. Instead of still holding onto
Speaker 2: people and and still running behind people, is so still
Speaker 2: chasing behind approvals and trying to win their favor and
Speaker 2: trying to make them to like you. I challenge you
Speaker 2: to make this conscious decision instead of turning to Isaiah,
Speaker 2: turn up to the Lord. Because when you look after
Speaker 2: the hills. From whence your health comes from. It comes
Speaker 2: from the Lord, the maker.
Speaker 3: Of heaven and earth. Today, I want to pray over
Speaker 3: you if.
Speaker 2: You're feeling hurt and disappointed by people, if you're feeling
Speaker 2: hurt by maybe even church leaders and ministers, and maybe
Speaker 2: you're hurt by people you looked up to, thinking these
Speaker 2: friends would have stood by me, but they just abandoned
Speaker 2: me in my time of need.
Speaker 3: I want to pray that.
Speaker 2: This word will encourage you to stop looking at your
Speaker 2: Isaiahs and start looking up to your God. Because from
Speaker 2: him will you find the strength, the miracle, and the
Speaker 2: breakthrough your need to fulfill the purpose that God has
Speaker 2: in stoff for you. I really challenge you to will
Speaker 2: come and share this with someone. Le'lseee you back very soon.
Speaker 2: God bless you.
