Speaker 1: Welcome to Fuel for the Soul with John Gifta.
Speaker 2: On this day, one year ago, Charlie Kirk was assassinated. Now, I don't know whether you agree with him politically or not, what your views are, and that's not what I'm here to debate about. But I want to talk about something that happened. When he was assassinated, it was around 1 a.m. here in India. And as you would expect, I was fast asleep. But I had a dream or a vision of the night where Charlie Kirk appeared to me and said, I have fought the good fight of fate. Now you go do the same. And I saw him ascending a staircase towards the clouds, kind of like heaven.
Speaker 2: And I was like, man, this is a strange thing. And I take out my phone and I come to know that he had just been assassinated. We're living in a time and age where so many things are happening and you may or may not agree with Charlie Kirk on the political front. And I don't want to debate on that over here because my focus is very clear. As a minister of the gospel, somebody who spoke up for the gospel, somebody who was vocal about the way he wanted to share the word to bring in the truth from God's word and debate and reason things out rather than just throw things down to people.
Speaker 2: He was trying to reason with those who had a different school of thought and all of those things. Now, I'm here to tell you something. Like I said, I'm not a Charlie cook, right? In the sense like he had the gift of debating, he had the gift of apologetics, but that's not my area of strength and that's not what it is. But one thing that stood out to me was, listen, Charlie Kirk fought the good fight of faith. The scripture says in Acts 13, 36, that David fulfilled his purpose for his generation.
Speaker 2: And this is something that just comes back to me over and over. And I want to really challenge and remind you that David fulfilled his purpose for his generation. Charlie Kirk fulfilled his purpose for his generation. And this is a reminder or a wake-up call for you and I, those who are watching, listening from across the globe, that we will also fulfill our purpose for our generation. God didn't create you for nothing. God didn't create you for just whiling away your time, just living a nominal Christian life, just going to work, just making sure your business is going fine, just so that you can attend church on Sunday.
Speaker 2: That's not the only reason why God created you. He created you for a purpose. He has a plan and the purpose for your life. If you see the same verse in different translations, it says, David fulfilled his purpose for his generation. In another translation, it says God was able to complete the plan he had in David's life for his generation, or he was able to succeed in completing God's will for his life. Why am I sharing these different verses is to tell you or the versions is to tell you, sometimes people say, oh, I don't care about purpose.
Speaker 2: And then they try to think that, you know, I have to just do the will of God, which they think is just to go have a job, come back and live a life that's just mediocre. But what if God has a plan and the purpose and God's will for you is not just to live You know, go to a job or go and start a business or just go and do a course and just live a normal life. What if God has something bigger? Now, I'm not saying everyone has to start a ministry. Everyone has to become like a Charlie Kirk going to universities.
Speaker 2: But maybe there's something that God is asking you to do. Maybe there's something that the Lord has been stirring in your spirit. Maybe you've got to write your book. Maybe you need to start a YouTube channel. Maybe you need to be more vocal in that group that God has placed you. Maybe you need to join that community and allow the Lord to use you in that church, in that community, in that space, whatever it is. The Lord has been speaking to you. The Lord has been stirring this in you. Let this be your wake-up call.
Speaker 2: Let this message get into your spirit to say, you know what? I'm done living for myself. I'm done living to just build my own empire. I want to build the kingdom of God. You and I need to learn from this man of God who fulfilled his purpose for his generation. He fought the good fight of faith till the very end. My question is, would you... get the same words from the lord saying well done my good and faithful servant you have fought the good fight of faith till the very end you may be saying john charlie kirk this happened one year ago why are you bringing this up see that happened one year ago yes that happened in the united states yes but there's a lot happening here in india as well you know there are protests happening people are rising up And now is not the time for you to be silent.
Speaker 2: Now is not the time for you to think that's not my problem. That's somebody else's problem. Now is the time for you to say, you know what? I see my fellow brothers and sisters struggling. I'm going to raise my voice. I'm going to stand up for truth. I'm going to be a person of excellence, have the spirit of integrity, and I'm going to do what needs to be done. And you know, the scripture says this in the book of James as well, right? If you know to do good and you don't do good, that's also sin, right?
Speaker 2: So today, if there are areas in your life, maybe you need to take that step of faith. Maybe you need to be the voice for the voiceless. Maybe you need to do something to say, I'm not going to just let this go down, but I'm going to take an intentional step against it. I'm challenging you. It's going to play a major role in the fulfilling the purpose that god has in store for you so if you're checking this out on youtube or facebook leave a comment and if you're checking this out any of the platforms i really challenge you to share this with someone so that they will be blessed and challenged as well god bless.
