for. Your host is a top ranking podcaster, best selling author, world
record holder, aerospace engineer, life coach, evangelist, and founder of John
Gifta International. Welcome to Fuel for the Soul with John Gifta. All of
you who have been following me closely, one thing is for sure, you'd
have known that I'm a big time Scooby Doo fan. Okay, I'm into
two international book of records for my Scooby Doo, my Manabelia and different endeavors
that I do. Uh. I use Scooby Doo as one of my tools
and my you know, ministry and all of the different things. That's that's
being a part and parcel of my life. And that's that's something that I
use, you know, like somebody is uh, you know, gifted in
sports, they use something like a sports ministry. Somebody is into coffee,
they do a coffee ministry. Into books they do a book club and book
club ministry, or you know, different things like that. And the Lord
was putting in my heart. You know, you love Scooby Doo and there
they're literally thousands and thousands of Scooby Doo fans and fan clubs and fan groups
and fan bases and communities around the world. Why didn't you use that for
the extension of God's kingdom? And you know that's something that I'm so grateful,
Like even today, one of the reasons I wanted to speak from this
line is that, you know, today being the fifty fourth birthday of Scooby
Doo, you know this this has been something like, uh, you know,
it's something people may say, and that's something weird, John. You
know, ever since I was young, people always start that was crazy.
I was stupid, you know, like Scooby Doo. When I'm getting over
it, and but at the same time, you know, that is something.
When I was young, I was always called as the Scooby Doo guy,
and as time progress, people started calling me the Scooby Doo pastor or
Scooby Pastor, and I was featured in different newspapers and different media outlets all
around. And when I got into those book of records, two international books
of records actually, so you know, all of these things, you know,
added credibility to you know, my say as a Scooby pastor, you
know what I mean. Uh, And it's amazing, you know, like
a lot of times, you know, Scooby Doo has been one of the
ways I'm able to reach people. I'm able to you know, uh,
break some barriers, you know, and and have conversations and you know,
and and eventually share something, share the light of God's word and you know,
and I want to just tell you guys, one thing, you know,
when I was thinking about Scooby Doo, one thing that just came to
my mind is, you know, when you think of the usual things with
Scooby Doo, of course there are so many different series and variations. Uh,
Scooby Doo has been making history in itself. You know, It's in
the Guinness World Records for the most episodes any animated cartoons comedy show has ever
had. So it's Scooby Doo is history in itself. But but for the
most part. If you look at Scooby Doo, what happens Scooby Doo in
the gang, come to know there is some ghosts, there's some kind of
a foul play, there's some kind of a negative thing happening. They don't
have to be there. They can just go walk away. They can just
you know, say you know what, it's not my problem, wash off,
and then just run away. But but you know they stand there,
they say, you know what, They risk their lives sometimes they you know,
Daphne gets kidnapped. You know, their lives are at stake. They
if you look at it in a little sense, right, I mean,
I know it's cartoon, but but I want you guys understand the context.
I'm trying to say. You know, they risk everything for the sake of
something somebody else, for the sake of truth and righteousness, for the sake
of you know, somebody else being exploited, somebody else getting kidnapped, or
something else unfair and something bad it's happening for the sake of that. They
risk everything, They put themselves on the line, and what happens. They're
going and solving the mystery. Right, nobody is asking it when to do
it. They don't get any rewards for it as well. But they're just
doing it for somebody else. They're doing it for where they are there,
for the community. For like maybe if it's something bad happening in an amusement
park, you know, they just solve the mystery. Maybe it happens somebody
else, somebody else gets kidnapped, they go in, you know, whatever
it is. They're doing it for others, not for themselves. And isn't
that like what Jesus did? You know, he died for us, even
though he didn't have to do it. He could have just washed his hands
off and say, you know what, they made the decision. Why should
I suffer for them? You know a lot of people today are living a
life where, you know what, it's all about themselves. But you see
here like the Scubby Doo and the gang, or a picture of what Jesus,
you know, is living for other people. Now, I'm not please
don't get me wrong. I'm not trying to compare and say Jesus and Scooby
Doo as the same. I'm not saying that. But I'm just trying to
use this as a tool to share this word with you guys. That you
know, Yes, God can use anybody anything to share this and and I'm
going to share this with you guys today. A lesson and I always got
back to when it comes to Scooby Doo is the way they they're putting themselves
on the line for the sake of others. You know. I want to
share a couple of scriptures with you guys, and I want to encourage you
today. And this is what it says. In one John three sixteen.
It says, we know love by this, that he laid down his life
for us, that we or to lay down our lives for the brethren.
But whoever has the world's goods and sees his brother in need and closes his
heart against him, how does the love of God abide in him? Here
is a word which says, you know, Jesus, just exactly what I'm
saying. You know, Jesus, they lay down his life for us.
You know, when you look at scrimpin In again, they put themselves on
the line. They risk everything, not for themselves, but for others.
And that's exactly what Jesus is asking us today. Are you living a life
like that where you're living for others? You know, another thing. If
you look at Luke nine twenty three, or even if you look at Market
thirty four, it says Jesus was saying to them, if anybody wishes to
come after me, he must deny himself and take up the cross daily and
follow me. And whoever wishes to save his life will lose it. But
whoever loses his life for my sake will save it. I want to ask
you this question today. Are you taking up your cross and following Jesus?
Are you kidding to that place of saying, you know what, I'm going
to deny myself. I'm going to deny you know, the benefits that I
can live, you know, living a normal, mediocal life, you know,
where it's all about myself, just for myself, my own bills,
my own you know, it's very easy to live a life like that,
just for yourself. But today I'm challenging each one of us to live a
life that we are called to live according to scripture. Not a selfish life,
not just for playing it safe, but a life where we say,
you know what, I want to put myself on the line if that is
what I'm called to do. You know, when you look at the apostles
except for John, all the other apostles were killed. Now, I'm not
saying that you go and expect to be killed. I'm not saying that.
But what I'm saying is some people are so scared to even open the word
Jesus. Their schools so scared to just what if you know there's a government
which wants to persecute you, don't preach, don't you know? You know
so many times I've heard all these kind of things for me. You know,
don't preach, don't close down your ministry. There is so many things
happening and blah blah blah blah blah blah blah. But you know what,
I can't be scared to preach the word that God has called me to,
even if it means putting myself on the line. That's exactly what Jesus did
for us, right he died for us. Scrutineo with the gang always put
themselves on the line. They risk everything, even though they don't have to
do it. They do it because it's the right thing to do. Today,
I'm asking you, are you living a life like that where you're putting
everything and saying, you know what I'm going to do this because this is
the right thing for me to do. This is the right thing for you
to do, because I can't tolerate in just but I need to stand up
and expose the truth, and I need to do it, even if it's
like a sense of a self sacrifice. It's like a sense of, you
know, putting yourself in a harm's way for the sake of others. Amen.
