Speaker 1: Do you ever look around and think, Wow, the world
Speaker 1: is a crazy place and it just seems to get
Speaker 1: crazier and crazier. Ease your mind and take a break.
Speaker 1: This is Fuel for the Soul with John Gifta. We're
Speaker 1: a hub for inspirational Christian sermons, practical keys for Christian living,
Speaker 1: and Christian discussions and interviews. You'll be inspired to live
Speaker 1: the life that you were created for. Your host is
Speaker 1: a top ranking podcaster, best selling author, world record holder,
Speaker 1: aerospace engineer, life coach, evangelist and founder of John Gifta International.
Speaker 1: Welcome to Fuel for the Soul with John Gifta.
Speaker 2: But as he was saying that each of us have
Speaker 2: something different, what are the things that's unique to you?
Speaker 2: Is the fact that you have a sales background. I
Speaker 2: think you Oldiest mentioned about this. I think that is
Speaker 2: something that added value to you, even in terms of
Speaker 2: using it in the iconic worship. And I love this
Speaker 2: because you know, when I started out, I started got
Speaker 2: showed me about marketing in the Bible A lot. I'm
Speaker 2: an engineer, but a lot of marketing.
Speaker 3: Stuff absolutely on that.
Speaker 2: Yeah. So, like, for example, when you think about David
Speaker 2: getting the opportunity to defeat Goliath. You know he said,
Speaker 2: I defeated the lion and the bad What was that
Speaker 2: he was saying? You know, these are my past successes.
Speaker 2: He was marketing himself. Or when we think about the
Speaker 2: cup batter going to the Pharaoh and telling about Joseph,
Speaker 2: he was like, you know what, he was his first
Speaker 2: client or customer. He had success with Joseph, Andiguez goes
Speaker 2: and tells somebody else. You know, it's like word of
Speaker 2: mouth marketing. So you see marketing or all of these
Speaker 2: things we think as worldly, worldly terms, but we can
Speaker 2: use all of that to bless people. You can use
Speaker 2: all of that in ministry. So do you have a
Speaker 2: face this thing where you know what this is something
Speaker 2: you can use, like even in terms of my ministry
Speaker 2: right my podcast right now, I took a break and
Speaker 2: I'm restarting this. But back in the day, it was
Speaker 2: the number one and the Christianity in India. I don't
Speaker 2: know if you knew about it, the ranking if you
Speaker 2: say so, Uh, that's how I was able to interview
Speaker 2: a lot of people like and all all of yeah,
Speaker 2: one thousand episodes. The reason I used to project that
Speaker 2: even now, if you see on my Instagram. One of
Speaker 2: the things that have pinned is the podcast ranking is
Speaker 2: not to boast, you know what I mean?
Speaker 3: Like, the one of the.
Speaker 2: Reasons I paused was, of course there was a technical issue,
Speaker 2: but the other point was where I need to show
Speaker 2: God that my idol, my podcast was not my idol.
Speaker 2: My rankings were not my idle. I was like, God,
Speaker 2: even if i lose everything, it's okay if if I'm
Speaker 2: at peace with you, you know what I mean, Like,
Speaker 2: I had to get to that place. But the reason
Speaker 2: I project that is not to boast, but rather in
Speaker 2: a marketing quite a few like even my book becoming
Speaker 2: number one best seller, I use it only to project
Speaker 2: because if you say it's a best seller, people were like, oh,
Speaker 2: let me check it out, or you know, something like that.
Speaker 2: So you can use it in the right way, but
Speaker 2: not for self grati glorification, but so that it will
Speaker 2: draw mento as card. Now, so on a similar note,
Speaker 2: how do you draw that balance using sales but at
Speaker 2: the same time you're not doing it in the wrong
Speaker 2: unethical way or something like that.
Speaker 4: I truly believe if when it comes to the growth aspect,
Speaker 4: growth aspect only the growth aspect, not the profit aspect.
Speaker 4: But if churches and ministries are run like startup companies,
Speaker 4: it'd be somewhere else today. I actually believe, you know,
Speaker 4: the growth aspects of how they use social media to grow,
Speaker 4: how they use digital ads to grow, how they prioritize
Speaker 4: few things like you rightly said, marketing and sales.
Speaker 3: Right I believe.
Speaker 4: Jesus was the best salesman in the world. You know,
Speaker 4: one of the principles and sales is always questioning. You
Speaker 4: know our answer. You always question Jesus. He did that
Speaker 4: very thing he answered. He always questioned. The coolest thing
Speaker 4: was when the Phariseason and Sara Dices were I think,
Speaker 4: being a fight with them, and Jesus said, there was
Speaker 4: this man who couldn't walk. He looked to the Pharisees
Speaker 4: and Sara season until told which is easier to say,
Speaker 4: get up and walk?
Speaker 3: All sins if we're given Yeah, you know so.
Speaker 4: I think even in our freedom evening, eighty percent of
Speaker 4: our usual audience went on a long weekend, so we
Speaker 4: didn't have the audience, and we projecting and telling five
Speaker 4: hundred people are going to come find it, are going
Speaker 4: to come.
Speaker 3: We don't know how many people will show up.
Speaker 4: And on freedom evening before that, like I think three
Speaker 4: days before that, we went to the we went to
Speaker 4: Church Street and we held a pluck card which said
Speaker 4: happy hours force four pm pm.
Speaker 3: Okay, we're holding this pluckards, come talk to us. And
Speaker 3: that's why all.
Speaker 4: The people who had drinking problem, drinking habit and usual
Speaker 4: people they came and they said what is this about?
Speaker 4: Mm hmmm, and uh, you know, I don't know. I'm
Speaker 4: interested in this. What is happy hours? So usually it's
Speaker 4: that time wearing it cheap alcohol and I know I know.
Speaker 4: So we're like, okay, before we tell you about that,
Speaker 4: why do you think it's called happy hours? We ask
Speaker 4: them a question against sales, and then they're like, it's
Speaker 4: because it's free alcohol.
Speaker 3: Is because we forgot our problems for three four hours? Awesome?
Speaker 4: You want to get to that? We want to answer,
Speaker 4: do you want to? So we asked the next question,
Speaker 4: do you want to forget your problems or do you
Speaker 4: want solution to your problems?
Speaker 3: Wow?
Speaker 4: They're like, so what if I told you there's a
Speaker 4: place where it can encounter something so beautiful and you
Speaker 4: might have a solution to your problems? Who would be interested?
Speaker 4: Then you tell them about premiumly, can you give them
Speaker 4: a caution? Yes, this is missing gospel songs and everything,
Speaker 4: but it's open to all instre to shine. Then we
Speaker 4: sell them a ticket. And these are like people of
Speaker 4: different faith who buy tickets. We're happy with what you're doing,
Speaker 4: who feel good with what they're doing, they buy their tickets.
Speaker 3: You know.
Speaker 4: So when it comes to growth aspects, I mean when
Speaker 4: I was when I was CEO of the company, had
Speaker 4: a lot of people work under me.
Speaker 3: Over there.
Speaker 4: Also, I didn't know coding, I didn't know designing. Oh here,
Speaker 4: I don't know singing, I don't know. I just managing people.
Speaker 4: So those skills. Two years I understood how to work
Speaker 4: with people, how to get work done, how to make
Speaker 4: people see a vision. Yeah you know all of those things.
Speaker 4: And yeah, those same things. Thankfully, you know, God's been
Speaker 4: trained me over there. God is using me o way here.
Speaker 2: Okay, but how do you balance between following what you
Speaker 2: call as a sales strategy versus like spiritalt like in
Speaker 2: the sense what I mean is sometimes being on YouTube
Speaker 2: for example, Okay, this is a constant thing that happens. Now,
Speaker 2: let's say there was this quote unquote something you know,
Speaker 2: like wokeness that happened in Olympics, for example, right like
Speaker 2: last year and twenty four. So if I were to
Speaker 2: use the Olympic thing, you know, I can go viral
Speaker 2: if I use that. But at the same time, as
Speaker 2: an individual, or let's take a recent example, right there
Speaker 2: was this pastor who quote unquote was caught into some
Speaker 2: sexual thing and stuff like that. So the minute anybody
Speaker 2: posted anything with that past's name, you know, would get
Speaker 2: a lot of views. And if I could use it
Speaker 2: to get views, I could have done it easily. But
Speaker 2: then I just can't do that. But I would come
Speaker 2: to a place where like, let's pray for so and so,
Speaker 2: you know, let's have this perspective, let's have this so
Speaker 2: you know, it's like a thin line between you know,
Speaker 2: making sure you're not just trying to be like the world,
Speaker 2: trying to use that tool just to get views, but
Speaker 2: you're making sure that you're guiding people to us the
Speaker 2: right path, even if it means it hurts your channel.
Speaker 2: Like for me as a YouTuber on YouTube, it hurts
Speaker 2: the channel because if somebody comes in, like they want
Speaker 2: to expect you to bash that pastor, they would love
Speaker 2: to watch that video, but when they realize you're saying,
Speaker 2: let's have a different perspective. Let's they're not going to
Speaker 2: watch for long. It hurts the view, it hurts the retention.
Speaker 4: One thing is I would never build my success on
Speaker 4: someone else's.
Speaker 3: Stimulation exactly, so we can't do that principles.
Speaker 4: For example, today, what if you for the name of
Speaker 4: getting viral, if you're sorry to say, like if you're
Speaker 4: what you say, if you can get into any nonsense today, yes,
Speaker 4: a lot of nonsense. But our mission, our goal is
Speaker 4: not just to get viral, because there a lot of
Speaker 4: people who are viral, yes, have no influence exactly, no insluence,
Speaker 4: who are not building the kingdom. So everything has to
Speaker 4: have that perfect balance.
Speaker 2: But that's why my prayer has always been, like God,
Speaker 2: more than viral. My focus is on impact, you know,
Speaker 2: like whether it gets viral or not that second, but
Speaker 2: then the impact somebody watching that they should get leave
Speaker 2: with something, you know, even if it's Sometimes the weirdest
Speaker 2: of videos do well for me. Recently, I think I
Speaker 2: posted about there was some very weird video like I
Speaker 2: don't know if you checked it out, like of me
Speaker 2: just my body. I mean, no, what is that?
Speaker 3: I said?
Speaker 2: My soul is leaving my body. It was this a
Speaker 2: weird graphic. I just posted that, and then I've posted
Speaker 2: like if you are you willing to meet Jesus if
Speaker 2: you died or something like that, and it led to
Speaker 2: a lot of people asking a lot of questions. Even
Speaker 2: in my workplace, people were like, you know, asking about
Speaker 2: life after death. There were people who send me messages
Speaker 2: like I'm really confused, what about this? And then I
Speaker 2: also directed them to one of the interviews I did
Speaker 2: with past John Burke is an expert in near that experiences,
Speaker 2: so that you know, like that is what I really
Speaker 2: feel should be the focus, right, like not just being viral,
Speaker 2: but how can you lead them to think or transform them,
Speaker 2: leave them better? You know, even this conversation, that's how
Speaker 2: every aspect I wanted to make sure that you know
Speaker 2: it people leave like even if they are going to
Speaker 2: watch segments of this interview, they should learn something out
Speaker 2: of it.
Speaker 3: You know.
Speaker 2: That's the heart behind this whole.
