Speaker 1: Welcome to Fuel for the Soul with John Gifta.
Speaker 2: Hello everyone, Welcome to this edition of the Fuel for the Soul with John Gifta podcast. All through this week, we're looking at various aspects that we can learn and inculcate in our life knowing God has our heavenly Father. As much as I've spoken a lot about my debut book on Vail Your Purpose, which helps people to discover and walk in their God given purpose, because that became a number one best seller on Amazon, I'd really been pushing that hard on a lot of those who love reading, saying go and check this out because it's been a great blessing.
Speaker 2: I also want to take this time to just remind you of the fact that I've authored multiple books, and the very first book that I ever wrote in twenty seventeen was a book called Who Am I. Basically, this is a book on identity, knowing who you are in Christ, because I believe that as much as we just know God as a distant figure of God, or maybe you know that God is a father, but many times we don't realize the implications of knowing God as your father. So I remember an incident where there was this particular student in school where everybody loved to be around him, that students were always proud to say that they're his friend.
Speaker 2: The teachers were always kind to him, They went the extra mile to be nice to him and make sure that he was in the good books. And if you notice everything revolved around him, it seemed like that. And the truth of the matter is why was this boy getting special treatment? Why is it that everybody liked him, Why is it that the teachers wanted to be kind to him? The reason is very simple, because his father was the owner and principle of the school. Because his dad was the owner, because his dad was the one controlling the school.
Speaker 2: Everybody wanted to be in his good books. They wanted to be in a circle. They were proud to be connected with him. They were proud to make sure that. You know what, I'll go the extra mile for him. I'll try to impress myself, or I want to impress this person. I want to impress him. I want to do this, I want to do that. The teachers are making sure that, you know, with regard to this boy, everything is Pitcher perfect. Why because they want to impress their principle or their boss. Right, So I wanted to think in this the same way this boy got special treatment because his father was the owner and controller of the school, the principle of the school.
Speaker 2: You have special treatment, you have special favor because your heavenly father is the owner and the controller and the sovereign ruler of this entire universe, as a child of the King of kings and the Lord of lords, the one who said, in for example, in Psalm twenty four, verse one, that the earth and everything in it and everyone in it belongs to the Lord, which means, like the way this principle had the whole school, the students, the staff, everyone in his control to make sure everything was running fine.
Speaker 2: Same way your heavenly father is in sovereign control. He's making sure that everything is fine. But the benefit that you and I have is like the same way this boy had his own dad in the principle's office or in the controlling section, he had nothing to worry about. He had special favor. He had special access which other people did not get that enabled him to be set apart. And that is the same way you and I have that benefit. Where the Bible says in e. Bruce four sixteen, we can go boldly to the throne of grace.
Speaker 2: We can have direct access. It says in one of the translations, confidently we can move why because we know that you know what, I'm not an ordinary person. I'm not just trying to make it through life. I have an advantage. I have a special favor that surrounds me. If you see, even in the Book of a FIESI Sorry, in the Book of Psalms five verse twelve, it says that the favor is like a shield. You have God's favor like the way this boy had that favor. The right people liked him. The wrong people obviously would not like him.
Speaker 2: The right people who would always try to be in his good books try to impress him. Why because they want to get things done. So on a similar note, you have to understand even the teachers, they don't want to play the fool with him because their jobs will be at stake. So same way you will have to understand that when you know that you're a child of the King of Kings and the Lord of lots, when you walk with that awareness, what happens is that the right people will be kind to you. The right people will be standing by you, supporting you, cheering you.
Speaker 2: They'll the right people will actually be proud to be associated with you. They will say, you know what, my friend is the son of the principle. My friend is the son of the King of Kings, and a lot of flats think about it in that sense, that's the way the way God is going to allow. When you walk in that awareness of what you carry as a child of the King of kings, you see sometimes I've seen, especially when the ministry started going up, especially the podcast ranking up the charts. When I started having run out guests on my podcast, I started noticing some people who would not give me the time of day who would make fun of me or put me down making statements like this, Oh, I can't believe my classmate, my friend, he got to interview so and so he was able to go and travel internationally and preach.
Speaker 2: He's doing great things. The same people who did not value me before suddenly started saying like, oh my gosh, I can't believe you're doing all of this. I'm proud to be your friend. You know what I mean. The same way I want you to know that when you know you're a child of God, God will enable you to get those that favor, like the way Hester found that favor. If you see in esther fivers to the King allowed her to come and meet him, and what happens, She's able to get the job done, the assignment to save the Jews from Hammond.
Speaker 2: So you see, that's what favor does. Enables you to accomplish your task. It gives you access to places that other people will find it hard to go to see. For example, to meet the principle in a general note, it would be like, oh, I have to meet the principle. You know, I need to get permission, I need to get the appointment, and all of that. But this little boy had no worry whatsoever because it was as much as the title as principle for him. He was his father, so he could go in anytime. He was just one call away.
Speaker 2: He could meet and talk to him personally after school, anything, anytime, because he had access that other people do not have access to. Today, as a child of God, you have access. You know, that favor will give you access to places that other people will not be able to understand how you got it. Sometimes people ask me this question all the time. How did you get to meet this person? How did you get to connect with this person? How did you get to have this person on my podcast? To be honest, it's not because of who I am, you know, like I'm great or something like that.
Speaker 2: Not in that sense. But I believe in this. I keep saying, God, I have your favor, which gives me access to places that I can't go on my own. See, that's the favor that is available to you and to me. See, even when I want to close with this example of the Pharaoh and Moses, right, we think about the incident when God called Moses to go back to the Pharaoh and give him allowed him to you know, deliver the people of Israel. Here's the thing I wanted to understand. Now, we look at it like a story where it's all about Moses having fear, like how can I go back to the Pharaoh, how can I talk to the Pharaoh.
Speaker 2: We look at all of those aspects and there is truth to all of that. But for me, my man always looks at protocol because I remember there was an incidant where even in the royal family of England just about a year or two ago, when there was a little tough happening with some of their family members, I came to know that one of the sons was not given the axes to meet his own father, the king. Okay, this was something that came to the news and that really caught my attention. This prince who lived and walked with his father now is not given the access to meet his own father, the king right now, Like I was thinking, like, look at the protocol.
Speaker 2: If that is the case, then imagine the protocol involved where a fugitive Moses who was not even the own son, He was an adopted son, right, he was not even an own son, Like, how did he get access to meet with the Pharaoh? Like have you thought about the protocol? Have you thought about how difficult it would have been? How did he get to meet the pharaoh? Because for me, the bigger thing than the fact that he had the fear and he was scared and all of that. There is a place for all of that, But for me, the point was how do did he get access?
Speaker 2: How did he by pass the protocol and meet with the pharaoh without actually being executed because he's a fugitive who should actually be executed when he goes back to the land. How you see that is access. And today, when you walk with that awareness that as a child of God you have favor and access, you will not walk thinking like, oh am I going to make it through life. You will walk with that boldness. You will walk with that confidence, and you will say, you know what, my daddy is the principle, my Daddy controls the old universe.
Speaker 1: I don't have to worry.
Speaker 2: He can. He controls everybody. He is in sovereign control of everything. So what doors need to be open, which protocol needs to be bypassed, It's in his hands. So when you walk with that awareness and confidence, you will see God open doors. No man can shut you will see access to places you couldn't go on your own, and you will fulfill the purpose that God has since store for you. I really challenge you to leave a comment if you're checking this out on YouTube or Facebook and share this with someone who needs to hear the word.
