Do You Know Who Your Father Is? | Walking in Spiritual Authority | John Giftah | Biblical Teaching
Tonight's Episode
Welcome to Fuel for the Soul with John Giftah. In this powerful concluding episode of the Father’s Day series, discover how to walk with confidence, courage, and authority because of who your Heavenly Father is.Using the illustration of a bold young boy who declared, “Do you know who my father is?” this message contrasts worldly arrogance with true biblical authority rooted in identity—not pride or entitlement. When believers truly understand that their Father is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, fear, insecurity, and defeat lose their power.
Grounded in Romans 8, 1 Peter 2, Hebrews 4, and Ephesians 2, John Giftah encourages listeners to stop being defined by their struggles or fears and start living as more than conquerors. Receive practical insights to embrace your royal identity and walk boldly in GOD’s promises and authority.
If you long for spiritual confidence and victory, this message offers hope and transformative encouragement.

Speaker 1: Welcome to Fuel for the Soul with John Gifta.
Speaker 2: Hello everyone, Welcome to this edition of the Fuel for the Soul with John Gifta podcast. All through this week we are looking at various aspects that we can learn or inculcate in not understanding and knowing God has our Heavenly Father today. One of the things I want you to understand predominantly is the fact that when you know that your Heavenly Father is backing you up, you can walk with that boldness and that confidence and have an outlook towards life, not from a defeated perspective, but from a perspective of knowing that you are more than a conqueror through Christ.
Speaker 2: See the scripture says in Romans eight thirty seven that we are more than conquerors through Christ. And when you see, even when we look at Jesus when he said in Luke ten, verse nineteen, for I have given you the power to trample on snakes and scorpions. So God has given us power. God has given us the authority. So my question is when you say that you know God as a father, are you walking with that authority that God has given you. It's not from a place of arrogance, like oh I know everything. Not from a place of aarrogance, not from a place of entitlement.
Speaker 2: That's not what I'm referring to. But what I'm saying is you should have that confidence, not from a place of like, you know what, it's just confidence in me, but rather the confidence I have in Christ. So when you walk with that, you will see the difference. You'll be able to trample on the schemes of the enemy, You'll be able to take authority, you'll be able to be bold, you will have a different outlook of life. Because a lot of Christians are living a very defeated Christian life. They're reading the Bible, they're going to church, they're praying, but their life is just a mess, so defeated.
Speaker 2: See, I'm not saying you will not have problems. I'm not saying you won't have seasons that look like a job season in their life. But what I am saying is in the in the when you look at the all in all perspective, like how the Bible says, and we know in all things. It doesn't say that there won't be bad things, there will be good things. There will be not so good things, that will be difficult season, they'll be easier seasons. But in all things we know that God works together for good. So the question is, in all things, if you're feeling like your life is only going downhill and not going up, if you're feeling like there's some kind of a restriction or you're not able to walk in that authority, then maybe you need to ask God to help you walk in that authority, walk with that boldness.
Speaker 2: Say you know what, I'm not ordinary. I'm a child of the King of kings and the Lord of lots. When I walk, demons have to flee. When I speak. These sicknesses have to lead. But that is the kind of boldness I want you to walk with. I remember a moment where there was a little kid who was creating a lot of ruckus in a church at some point that everybody who tried to control him none of them were able to control him. And eventually they took him to the lead past and said, hey, what happened, and try to, you know, scold him and try to rebuke him and trying to discipline him.
Speaker 2: This boy became extra again. He said, do you know who my father is? And eventually come to find out his dad was a very run out, you know, a real leader or something like that. So this boy had this boldness and this kind of a feeling that you know what, my dad holds this place, my dad owns this area, My dad is in control, and so I can do whatever I want, you know what I mean. But you see, as much as that's the negative set, that's what I'm saying, don't try to go into the ad agains or that entitlement, but rather go to that place where you take that boldness, like the way this child is having that boldness saying do you know who my father is?
Speaker 2: The enemy is attacking, you say, do you know who my father is? When delays are coming away, you say, do you know who my father is? When people are trying to put you down, you say, do you know who my father is? Because when you know who your heavenly father is, you will approach life with that boldness. You will say, devil, you stand no ground against me. Now, I'm not preaching from a place of theory. Remember this, I never preach anything from a place of theory. What I preach is always directly from the Word of God and out of what I've seen the Word coming to pass in my life.
Speaker 2: I've shared this many times. I don't talk about things that God has still not healed me off. I don't talk about things that I'm still struggling with and I'm not completely got delividence from. I don't want to be a hypocrite. That's my walk with God. I have shared God, I don't want to talk about things which you're still not healed. And so if I'm sharing that there is a thought ity, there is power that you possessed as a child of God. I have seen that. I have walked, and I've seen demons flee. I have commanded in Jesus name, sicknesses go and sicknesses have left.
Speaker 2: I'm not making this up. There's so many testimonies of people getting healed and delivered. Death fears pop open directly. These miracles still happen, guys, because that's what the Bible says that in Mark sixteen seventeen, ver was seventeen and eighty. These signs shall follow them that believe you see the when Jesus was giving the great commission, he said, you will go, you will raise the dead, you will feel the sake. See, making disciples is not just preaching, but also with the power and the authority.
Speaker 2: If you really want to make a difference in this world, you can't do it with just theory and knowledge. You need that authority. You need that boldness. When I go and preach in certain places, I know the kind of attacks the enemy tries to have over me and my family. I keep fighting against it. I keep thinking authority. As much as everybody loves what they see from the outside and the media, everything looks picture perfect and all of that, but behind all of that, the enemy attacks. The spiritual warfare is and that's why you need to know that you have that authority to trample on snakes and scorpions.
Speaker 2: You have the authority to break every chain. You have the authority to speak to the mountain and the mountain will be removed. You have the authority to walk knowing that you can overcome every obstacle, defeat every enemy, slay every giant, and you can fulfill the purpose that God has for you. Do you believe that? Do you believe that? I want to pray in the name of Jesus Christ for those who are watching listening, that they will walk with the awareness of the authority that they carry. That they're not ordinary, but they have the authority given to them by the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords, and with that authority they will do great feats for the Kingdom of God.
Speaker 2: In Jesus name, I pray. I really recommend you to leave a comment if you're checking this out on YouTube or Facebook and share this with someone who needs to hear this and I will see you back very soon. And if you're not, if you're a father taking this episode out, I just want to take this time to issh you a very happy Father's Day. God bless you.
