0:43 Welcome to Fuel for the Soul with John Gifta. Hello everyone. It's wonderful for me to be back on this edition of the Fuel for the Soul with John gift of podcast. And as I've shared with you in the last two episodes that the last couple of days of this year, I just wanted to focus on things that we can remind ourselves. Many of these things you may already know, but this is just a reminder to share with you. To have this as a checklist for you as you step into the new year, that you will step into the new year with the right perspective, the right lifestyle that will help you see the results that you're hoping for as you prepare for the new upcoming here as well.

1:30 So I've been talking about this and I want to jump into first the Salonians chapter five, verse eighteen, and today I'm going to talk from the first part of this verse, which you might already have guessed, and it says, give thanks to the Lord in all circumstances, give thanks in everything you know, be thankful in all circumstances. I'm talking about different translations. This is what it says, in everything, give thanks for this is God's will for you, you in Christ Jesus, and no matter what, just give thanks.

2:04 Even if you look at the messagation, that's what it says, thank God no matter what happens, because we have a tendency where we are grateful or thankful only when something good happens, when the Lord shows up in some area, when God does something in our life, and then we are grateful, then we are thankful. But today my challenge to each one of you, and that sound of my voices the Bible is saying, you know, in everything, give thanks. Can you have that lifestyle where you want to give thanks when you have that altitude of gratitude no matter what, no matter what you face, no matter where you go, no matter what happens, no matter you know what season of life you're in, even if even as you're looking at you know, today being the thirtieth of you know, December twenty twenty three, and you're saying, you know, just a day to go with this new year, with this year, and you're saying, John, I step in, stepped into the year with a lot of with a lot of hope.

3:00 But here and I am today, John. I didn't expect to be here at this point. I thought this would have happened. I thought that would have happened, but things didn't work out. But today, you know you can. You can either look at all those negative things and be bitter, or you can start counting your blessings and be better. You know, that's my challenge to each one of you, another sound of my voice, that you know that you will quit being in the place of bitterness like you know. Yes, even I do have things that I wish God would have answered in this year.

3:29 But can I tell you something. I'm grateful that God has led me and he's not given up on me. And I know that I'm not giving I'm not giving up on God. I believe that, you know, he is faithful to his word, he is faithful to his promises, and I believe that this at disappointed time, when he wants to do what he wants to do in my life, He's going to make it happen. You know, not in my timeline, but in this timeline. Then you know that that should be your attitude today. It's even as you sip into this final pinnacle of this twenty twenty three, I just pray that you, you know, get to that place of gratitude.

4:01 You know, there are so many reasons why you can be grateful today. You can be grateful because you have roof over your head. You can be grateful because you have the cognitive ability to listen to what I'm saying and understand it. You can be grateful because you have the gift of listening. That's how you're able to listen to what I'm saying. Or you have the gift of you know, eyesight, and that's how you're able to use the gadget through which you're listening to what I'm saying. You know, there's so many reasons why you can be grateful today.

4:27 You know the fact that you have loved ones around you, the fact that you have a job. You know, yes it may not be the perfect job, but you have a job. It may not be the perfect people around you, but you do have somebody you know. Can you get to that place where today you can be grateful no matter what and say today, God, help me make this my lifestyle that I'm going to operate from a place where I'm going to have the attitude of gratitude. It may not be perfect, it may not be the best, but I'm going to still choose to trust you no matter what.

4:59 I'm still going to choose to look up to you, and I'm going to have that hattitude of gratitude. Because when you have the attitude of gratitude, that's what God. You know, shows God that you still trust him. That shows God that you still believe that he can do the impossible. And that is that faith in itself is going to pay the way for the miracle that you're hoping for in your life. Amen, God bless you. You've been listening to Fuel for the Soul with John Gifta.
