0:55 It's wonderful for me to be back with you on this last episode of

0:59 the year as we step into the last day of twenty twenty three. Just

1:04 want to just close with this passage that I've been talking to you for the

1:08 last four days. I've been talking about this because I believe that this is

1:12 such a vital passage for us to remember. It is so important for us

1:18 to have this lifestyle as Christians, as believers, so that we are ready

1:23 for what's next. Right, you may be in a place where you're saying,

1:26 John, I'm disappointed with twenty three, I expected a lot more to

1:30 happen. I expected God to answer in this area of my life or that

1:34 area of my life. I expected God to show up in a different way.

1:38 But things didn't work out the way I expected. And things have been

1:41 really, really like a roller coaster ride for me. So I want to

1:45 just conclude this. You know, I've been talking to you from first to

1:48 Salonian chapter five, you know, for the last four days, from verse

1:51 sixteen, and today we're going to conclude verse eighteen. Very simple passage,

1:56 very you know, the familiar passage. Most of you may know them already.

2:00 And this was just more like a reminder for each one of us so

2:05 that we can incultate in some area where you can have this as a sense.

2:09 You can say, God, help me to be better at this,

2:12 help me to grow more in this area, or something like that. So

2:15 reminding you again, it says, you know, reading from the message vers

2:19 it says, be cheerful no matter what, reminding you, you know,

2:22 to rejoice and be glad always. And then it says, pray without seizing,

2:27 pray all the time, thank God, no matter what happens. You

2:30 know, in everything, give thanks your respect of your circumstances, and it

2:35 goes on to say, this is the will of God for you in Christ

2:39 Jesus. So, in other words, it's going on to say this important

2:44 truth. Right you know, this is the will of God for you.

2:47 This is the will of God concerning you. In other words, can you

2:50 get to that place even though you don't understand it, even though you're still

2:53 dealing with some things, even though there are areas that you wish things were

2:57 different, But can you get to that place of total trust upon the Lord

3:00 and say, God, I know this is not the way I want it

3:02 to be, but I choose to trust that this is your will for me

3:07 right now. This is where you want me to be. This is the

3:09 circumstance that you have led me into. So I'm going to choose to rejoice.

3:14 I'm going to choose to pray and depend on you and look up to

3:16 you. I'm going to choose to be grateful concerning this idea or in this

3:23 area, because I believe that this is part of your will for my life.

3:28 This is where you want me to be. This is part of your

3:30 plan for me. This is exactly how you orchestrated my life to be.

3:36 So who am I to judge the way you have led my life to be.

3:40 Can you go to that place of total trust? Can you go to

3:44 that place of total surrender, so that you know what, even though you're

3:47 disappointed about unanswered prayers, even though you're hurt by people who let you down

3:53 or who left you, even though you're in a place where you're saying,

3:58 John, I'm coming in terms with the fact that I've still not got a

4:01 job. It's still not going to be the right person. I've still not

4:04 got this answer or this turnaround and this financial breakthrough. I'm still entering the

4:10 new year in the same fashion. But I want to remind you of you

4:15 know, one of my favorite favorite passages First Corinthians, chapter seven, verse

4:19 seventeen from the Message version, and this is what it says, And stop

4:24 wishing you as someplace else or with somebody else. Where you are right now

4:28 is God's place for you. Live and obey and love and believe right there

4:32 God, not your marital status, defines your life. You know this is

4:39 so true for most of you. This is a word for some of you

4:44 really, because you need to get to the place. You need to stop

4:46 wishing you are someplace else. You need to stop wishing you're done things differently.

4:50 You need to stop wishing that things had turned around. You need to

4:54 stop wishing that you were with somebody else and believe that this is God's plan

4:59 for you. Why you are right now is God's place for you. This

5:00 is what the Bible says. Can you take the word at this word at

5:04 the place and say, you know what, God, I just choose to

5:08 take your word, just as if this is just raw for me, this

5:12 is what I need. Can you get to that place where you're say God,

5:15 I'm hurt, but I just take your word and say, I believe

5:17 this is where you want me to be. If God did not want you

5:20 to be where you are right now, you would not be here. You

5:25 are where God wants you to be. You said yes to God's will,

5:28 plan and purpose of your life. You said, not my will, Let

5:30 your will be done, which means that where you are right now unlessen until

5:34 you you know willingly, or you know by your choice, ran away from

5:40 God. Where you are right now is exactly where God wants you to be.

5:44 You are exactly on time for God to show up. You're exactly on

5:47 time for God to do what needs to be done. You're not missed your

5:53 moment. You're not running behind schedule, you are not running ahead of schedule.

6:00 You're not in a place where it's like you feel like giving up,

6:04 saying it's never meant to be. No, what God has started in your

6:08 life, he is faithful to complete it, but not in your timeline,

6:12 but in his timeline. Can you choose to trust and say, God,

6:15 I choose to trust you. I choose to trust your plan. I choose

6:18 to trust your purpose over my life. I choose to trust what is your

6:23 will over my life. Can you make that your prayer? Even as we

6:26 step into the last day and stepping into the mule here, I pray that

6:30 you will make this your lifestyle. That you will make this your prayer.

6:33 That this will be buried in the deepest part of your heart. Every time

6:38 you attempted to get discouraged, to lose hope, to give up, to

6:43 throw in the towel, I pray that this word will come and say,

6:46 you know what you are exactly where you need to be. God has kept

6:50 you where you need to be. Can you choose to trust Him in that?
