0:45 Speaker 2: Hello doone, Welcome to this ession of the Fuel for the Soul with John Gifta podcast. And I just want to quickly remind you of something to encourage you from God's word, because I believe that a lot of times today we are living in a time when there's so much happening, and we can be full of our lives. Where is my protection going to come from? We just came out of a huge pandemic COVID nineteen post twist. We have seen so many things happening, mysterious deaths. We're seeing a rise of terrorism, shootings happening across the globe.

1:15 Speaker 2: There's so much happening where people are dying because of freak accidents. So many things that we can't even explain are happening. And today you may be in a place where you're saying, John, I'm really scared for my life, or I'm really concerned about my loud ones. Maybe it's your children, maybe your family members, your spouse, and you may be in a place where you're saying, I do not understand how things are going to work out. I'm really really concerned. I just want to let you know that no matter what, you're in the palm of God's hands.

1:42 Speaker 2: Your loud ones are in the palm of God's hands. And I'm just going to share something with you and encourage you from the word of God. From Exodus chapter two, right, there's a moment where the Egyptian pharaoh has put out a degree to kill all the Hebrew male children that are just born. The thing I wanted to understand during this period is when Moses was born. And I want you to understand something here. Moses's mom knew that Moses had a call upon his life, and what did she do? She hid him for about three months.

2:18 Speaker 2: See, there are times when you try your best to be cautious, you take steps that need to be taken. You know, I always say this, Like what you need to do, you do right. Like, sometimes you can take certain precautions. You can make sure that you know, you don't intentionally get into something that affects you. You don't have to get into something stupid and then put yourself in trouble. You know, sometimes you have to be cautious. You have to do what you can do. But here's the thing verse three, when she could no longer hide him.

2:49 Speaker 2: This is the thing. I want you to understand. Certain things you can do. Certain things you work hard, you will get a job. There are certain things you work hard, have a spirit of excellence, you able to keep the job or use certain things like you are able to you know, have healthy food. You know you'll be able to have good healthy lifestyle. But the thing is beyond that, there are times when you know, health challenges happen from nowhere, beyond you doing your best. You know, you losing your job happens, you know, beyond your control.

3:24 Speaker 2: Like what I'm trying to say is, sometimes no matter how much you do the best that you can do. There's still a moment where things go beyond a control and that's why you need to trust Card. You need to trust Card. And I want you to understand something here. So what she did. She put Moses in a papyrus basket and coated with tar and pitch. Okay, I want you to understand why she did this. And she placed the child in the bank of Nile River. And most of you know the story how the Pharaoh's daughter was bathing by the river bank and found Moses, and the rest of the story goes on.

4:06 Speaker 2: But I want to focus on something very important here right, the fact that she put this baby in the Nile River. Now, I want you to understand the Nile River is not an easy river. Okay. The currents in the Nile are dangerous, that's one side. But the bigger danger for those in the Nile River are the Nile crocodiles. This is the crocer dalas Nilo tickets. Okay. This is the kind of crocodiles. This is a huge, massive, dangerous predator found in the sub Saharan African rivers, including the Nile basin.

4:47 Speaker 2: Okay, I wanted to think about this This is something the Bible is not saying that there were crocodiles, but we know that the Nile had crocodiles. Right. Think about this, These were dangerous crocodiles. Now, what did Moses's mom do? She put him in the basket and coated with tarr and pitch. She did the best she could to make sure that Moses was safe inside the basket. But beyond that, it is only the Lord who protected Moses. I want you to understand. You do your part, you go the extra mile, you have the spirit of excellence, you work hard, you do what you need to do.

5:26 Speaker 2: But beyond that, understand that your protection comes from the Lord. You can't keep it like. Stop stressing yourself on things that are beyond your control, and say, Lord, I give up the controls and I trust you because I believe that you will protect me. You are my defender. You have my best interests at her You have good plans for my life. You have good plans for the lives of my loved ones, because I'm praying for them. The Bible talks about how remembering Abraham, God saved Lot even the Lord was in the wrong place.

5:59 Speaker 2: Remember Abraham. The Bible says God saved Lot, God remembered Lot. See remembering your prayers, the Lord will take care of your loud ones. The people you're concerned about. Pray for them, cover them. But beyond that, trust God today. If you're stressing yourself in terms of protection in this world, with regard to health, with regard to all the dangers of life with regard to losing jobs and uncertainty financially, or with regard to the challenges or the dangers post by matrimony or marriage related things, or the dangers related to different things in life, I won'ted understand today that you can trust that even when you're going through dangerous pathways.

6:50 Speaker 2: The current in the nile is strong. The crocodiles were mighty. But the good news is that the Mighty God, the stronger God, the powerful God, was backing Moses up and thought is the assurance you and I can have that no matter how life feels uncertain and goes beyond your control, you can trust that the God we serve is able to protect, watch over us and help us fulfill the purpose that He has for us.
