The Power of Your TESTIMONY | John Giftah | Christian Sermon

to talk to today about be wocal about your testimonies. That is the sense

of false humilities seen in a lot of Christians. They're like, you know,

yes, I know God has blessed me, but I just want to

hide my blessings. I don't want to show off. Yes, I'm not

asking you to show off. I'm not asking you to boast in yourself and

say look what I have done. No things like that. But there's also

a place where you need to understand where you have seen the hand of God.

You're seeing the blessings of the Lord. You're seeing how God showed up

and showed out in your life. You're seen God do things that you can't

even imagine, you can't even comprehend. You've seen God hand see your prayers.

And it is so imperative that you don't just keep those miracles to yourself.

You don't just keep those testimonies to yourself and just say, you know

what, thank you Lord, and then just move on. The reason you

have been blessed is so that you can be a greater blessing to other people.

If you have just received an answer to your prayer, maybe you can

just share that so that somebody else is praying for something and they will be

encouraged to know God has answered your prayer. God is going to answer their

prayer as well. So I want you guys to get to that place where

you understand that there's nothing wrong in talking about what the Lord has already done.

That's there's there's there's sometimes you know this thing in Christianity. I've seen

a lot of people tell me you know, yes, I know, John,

you know you've seen these miracles from God or you know you've seen you

know, like you know, I've seen the hand of God in the ministry,

you know, in ways I never even imagined, even when when the

podcast started ranking up the charts, or even when we talk about the book

became number one and all of these things. You know, these are miracles,

These are awesome acts that the Lord performed. I I never even imagined,

you know, hitting number one in India in different platforms and all of

these things. It's it's amazing what the Lord has been doing. And it's

something that I've been praying about for a long time. I've been working really

hard for a long time. And to see the Lord show up and show

out it was awesome. But there was those who thought, oh, John,

you know if you share that it's number one, that means you're being

very proud. You know. People thought like that. But I had to

go down to that place when I'm like, listen, you know, I

share what the Lord has been doing. I share what the Lord has done

so that you know, more people are being blessed. You know, it's

just looking at it practically. Okay, When people who thought I was dumb,

when when the podcast started ranking, when I shared about it, people

who thought I was dumb, who thought, you know, who's even going

to listen to your ramblings, you know. They thought, oh my goodness,

what is going on? And more people started listening. People who didn't

even pay attention to me before I started listening to my stuff just because you

know, I shared what the Lord has just done. They were amazed.

People who thought that I lost my mind were like, oh my gosh,

there's the hand of God upon your life. People who thought that, you

know, how John, you don't understand the seriousness. You know, you

don't have a call upon your life. They were awe struck when when when

I when they heard or saw what the Lord has been doing. You see,

guys, I want you to understand, you know, not only that,

but there's all those also. There are also moments when when I share.

For example, there was a moment when I shared about how you know,

there was no rain for four months and I prayed and the Lord just

answered the prayer. People laugh, people mark saying what your prayer is going

to make a difference? And I just said, Lord, you can make

it rain. I just go out and come back and the first thing I

heard is the sound of rain. And people who marked at me came back

scratching their heads saying, this is nothing but the hand of God. When

I shared this testimony, somebody else who was in another country, I think

it was in Uae or Qatar. He was in a place where there was

no rain, and he was like, Oh, my goodness, if God

did it for John, he can do it for me. What did he

do? He started praying and he said, John, out of so long

it started raining, Oh my goodness, John, how did this happen?

Guys? I want you guys to understand today that this is the power of

sharing your testimony. This is the power because I want to tell you something.

A couple of things. Number One, when you look at Matthew five

sixteen, Jesus said, let your life shine before others, so that they

may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. Let them see

your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. If you hide your good

deeds, if you hide what the Lord has been doing in your life,

if you're hiding your life, how can people see your good deeds? Think

about it. Think about it, guys. Think about it. If I

if I never told people you know, the podcast is ranking. If I

never told people you know the book is ranking or became number one. Nobody

would know about it, and many of the opportunities that came because of that

would have never happened if I'd never opened my mouth about it. Let let

let people see the good works, and then glorify your father in heaven.

Another scripture. You know, there's also this principle that I want to share

about. But before that, I want to share this. If you look

at the Acts, chapter twenty eight, there's a moment when Paul and everybody's

washed ashore into Malta. And here's the thing I want you to understand.

That he goes to publicize the chief official of the island and his father was

sick in bed, suffering from fever and dysentery, and the Bible season verse

eight Paul went to see him and after prayer, placed his hands on him

and healed him. Verse nine is what I want you to pay attention,

okay, And I'm reading from the anima version. It says when this had

happened, the rest of the sick on the island came and were cured.

See, the rest of the sick would have never come and got cured if

this hadn't happened. If the word hadn't gone out. Let's look at it

practically, right, If this man got healed and just kept it to himself,

the rest of the island would not have known that what had about what

had happened. See, God did miracle in your life so that you can

share that miracle and be a blessing to somebody else and inspire somebody else.

Think about it, guys, don't keep the miracle to yourself. Don't keep

it to yourself. You know, if you look at Revelation nineteen ten,

there is this aspect. The last part it says, for the testimony of

Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of

prophecy. In other words, you know, it's kind of like, you

know, when you testify what the Lord has done in your life, it's

actually like prophesying into other people. You're sharing what the Lord has done to

tell other people. You know, if the Lord did it for me,

he can do it for you. Don't give up, don't lose. So

one of the reasons I'm so vocal about my struggles. I'm open about what

I'm going through. Even on the podcast, I've shared about my discouragements and

opposition. I've shared about the different questions and dilemma that the seasons that I've

gone through, a lot of people tell me, John, listening to your

podcasts, I can gauge what kind of a day you are having. You

know, a lot of people tell me that. Okay, because I record

day to day basis for the most part, so you know there's some element

of Of course, I pray, and I pray that you know, God

covers, you know, what I'm going through, so that you know people's

lives are being blessed in touch. But there are moments where God allows certain

things to be seen so that people understand that. You know, I'm not

just a superhuman here. I'm going through stuff on my own. But when

I share that, it is encouraging people. Oh, John, you're gone

through this and you're still being a blessing to people. You're going through such

a thing and you're still making sure that the message is sent. John,

this was such a blessing. So many times I hear this, and I'm

telling you, guys, your testimony, your life story can be a blessing

to other people. Don't withhold what the Lord has done and is doing in

your life. Be vocal about it, share it around, let lives be

touched, let other people be encouraged, and let it go forward and make

a great impact for the glory of God. One last thing. I know

this is a longer summon than you should, but I want to share this

to encourage you guys with tomorrow the ministry it's officially turning eleven years old.

Eleven years old. The Lord has been so awesome. But yes, the

thing I want you to understand. You know the name of the ministry is

John Gift International. Right when the Lord called me instead, I want you

to start John Gift International Ministries. You know, it seemed like, okay,

God, you know, an international Yeah, I was in a place

where I was like, I had the radical faith right on daymon I called

it international. Even when we were registering it as an organization. It's a

religious organization. You know, people said, you know, don't call it

international and all of that, just just call it ministry, or just just

call it some other name, and you know, things like that. But

you know, I was very vocal about this because you see, the Lord

inspired me through the testimony of somebody else, and that is Pastor John Ostein,

the father of Pastor Joel Ostein, when he started Lakewood Church. You

know, when he started Lakewood Church, he had just ninety local people,

but the Lord gave him a vision of an international church and he called it

Lakewood International Outreach Center, Lakewood International. He called it an international church right

when it was just local, when there were hardly a few local people.

But he had that vision in mine. And today, no doubt about it,

that the church is international with members and viewers from all over the world

attending the church. You know, that testimony inspired me when the Lord was

asking me to start international ministry, and you know how the audacity and the

faith to you know, call it international right on day one, and that

has become a reality in my life right now. When I started it with

international, people were saying, oh, John, that are just nine local

people learning your Whatsype groups and what do you mean international? People thought I

lost my mind. People thought I was crazy. But today I'm not saying

that I've reached a fullness of what I imagine or expect, because I know

God has even greater levels and dimensions. But without a doubt, the ministry

is international. You know, we are having impact all over the world.

Of course, this is nothing compared to what the Lord is going to do

and much more what he is going to do in the coming years. But

it has become a reality, and that's why I'm sharing with you guys today.

You know, one testimony inspired me and today my testimony might inspire somebody

else who's listening. And that is the power of sharing testimonies and men,
