0:46 Speaker 2: Hello everyone, Welcome to this edition of the Fuel for the Soul with John Gifta podcast. All through this week we're looking at various aspects which we'll reentery this part that no matter how your life feels like or seems like it is on the natural, you are not behind schedule. You are on time. God is working in your life and he knows how to make all things beautiful in his sovereign time. Today, one of the beautiful lessons I want to talk about in this line is from the life of Joseph Right when we talk about Joseph.

1:17 Speaker 2: We see how his life was in a mess all across his younger days. When he is probably seventeen years old, he is thrown into the pit. He sees like his life just goes into a turmoil. From being the favorite son of his father, he's now in the pit, and then he's a slave in a foreign land, and even there he's wrongly accused, put in prison, and his life is in such a mess. Even though he's trying to help the cup beer interpret the dream, thinking that maybe the cup bearer will speak to the Pharaoh and let him out, but that Cabrera forgets him.

1:55 Speaker 2: It feels like his life is going in a very bad shape. There's no way out. It looks like this is how his life will always be. But I wanted to understand another perspective here right now. If you're somebody who's feeling like John, this sense like what needs to happen in my life is not happening. I see people around me. They're progressing. They're getting a new job, they're getting hikes, they're getting promotions, they are able to get financial stability, or maybe they're getting married, they're getting kids, they're getting a new home, they are able to move abroad.

2:31 Speaker 2: You see people around you are getting all sorts of things, or it could be something like their ministry is taking off, They're getting more opportunities, they're all their businesses taking new grounds or whatever it is. Right, you may feel like nothing is happening. What should happen is not happening.

2:48 Speaker 2: You may feel like even the natural things, the common things of life, is not happening. Okay, Now I want you to understand something very important here. When you think about Joseph, during those times, people usually got married at the age of eighteen to twenty two. That was the sweet spot. The age of twenty was like how the age twenty seven twenty eight is today in today's context, at least in India, where people usually get married at the sweet spot of twenty seven twenty eight in India. That's how twenty was way back, Okay.

3:22 Speaker 2: And what was Joseph doing all those years? He was serving as a slave and he was a prisoner. Imagine how he would have felt he was missing out on everything in life. All his peers probably were going around on dates. I mean, I'm just assuming. I mean the culture would have been so different from today, but just imagine or when he's turning twenty, he would imagine, Man, I thought by now I would be getting married, being the favorite son of my father. Maybe my father would have got a beautiful bride for me.

3:58 Speaker 2: But look at me, he rotting in a prison. Can you imagine how Joseph could have felt. He could have felt like everything is crashed. He could have felt like it's never going to happen, because all the prime of his life was spent in prison. And I also like the idea that maybe it was good that if he was in prison. Imagine if he was a slave and he was just getting married to another slave girl, how his life.

4:24 Speaker 1: Would have been.

4:25 Speaker 2: Right, So it would have been so messy, right being a slave or being in prison and he's not able to get or what would have been nice or like a decent wedding. But I wanted to understand. Years later, at the age of thirty, Joseph comes out. Not only is he getting the promotion, not only is he getting the label as the governor of Egypt, the second in command to the most populination in the world of that time. Not only many times we forget the fact that after that Joseph gets married in the palace, he gets a royal wedding, he ends up getting kids.

5:11 Speaker 2: Joseph coming out at the age of thirty would be like somebody coming out at the age of forty five saying, oh, man, I've lost my prime in life. There's no way for me to ever dream about getting married, meeting somebody and getting my life back on track, or getting my life to do some great stuff. I just have to accept this my lot in life. But think about this, even though Joseph came out much later in life, even though it felt like he lost the prime of his life, even though it felt like all hope was gone, what did the Lord do.

5:46 Speaker 2: He didn't just say, okay, fine, Joseph, we'll just find somebody and just get married. No, Joseph got married in the palace. He got a royal wedding. This is a word for some of you who are watching and listening. If you feel like it's too late for you to ever get to the next level in your career, if you feel like it's too late for you to ever get married, if you feel like it's too late for you to ever get financially stable, if you feel like it's too late for you to ever see the dream come to pass.

6:16 Speaker 2: I'm here to announce to you at a time when young people were getting married at the age of twenty and Joseph was in prison all those years and lost it. But when he came out at thirty, he had a royal wedding. I want to speak over every single one of you that the way God did it for Joseph, He's going to do it for you. He's going to exceed your expectations. He's going to amaze you with his goodness. He's going to bring in somebody that you wouldn't even imagine. Possibly, he's going to open doors that you thought were just way out of your league.

6:49 Speaker 2: I'm here to announce to you he's going to do it over your life. Trust him, trust them. It may feel like it's not happening, but trust them. It may feel like you're being delusional in the sight of the world, but trust him because God is faithful, because God will keep his word, and God's promises are all yes and Amen.
