0:45 Speaker 2: Hello everyone, Welcome to this edition of the Fuel for the Soul with John gift of podcast. All through this week, we're looking at various aspects with regard to how you may feel like your life is going well behind schedule. But I want to rein trade the act that you are right on schedule, that God is doing everything exactly the way it's supposed to be, and very soon you'll know why the delay, why he didn't answer the way you wanted, and things like that. So I really challenge you to hold on because these episodes are being filled with the Word of God with so many revelations that will inspire and encourage you in your walk as well.

1:25 Speaker 2: So today I'm going to talk about a very important aspect from Acts chapter three. This is a moment where there was a man who was brought into the place of worship right when Peter and John were going for the prayer meeting at three o'clock. Okay, this man was lame from birth and was carried to the place of worship called beautiful, the gate called beautiful. Okay, think about this for a minute, because this is another sermon I'll preach another time. To think about the irony of it that this man's life was nothing but beautiful, nothing beautiful at all.

2:02 Speaker 2: He was crippled, he was stuck, he was lame from birth. Right. Can you imagine how he would have felt? Because you may feel like John in some area. You may feel like you're crippled, maybe financially. You grew up with financial trouble, you grew up with relational trouble, you grew up in a toxic environment. You grew up with some addiction, maybe something that has always been prevalent in your home or in your circle, or something that you were dealing with right from the time when you were much younger.

2:38 Speaker 2: So this man was dealing with something like that. He was a cripple from birth. If you in fact, see this man had been like this for forty years. That's what the Bible says in chapter four, verse twenty two. For the man had been healed after forty years. So why did I want to talk about this part that he was healed out of forty years? Is that this man was a cripple his entire life, and he was crippled, and he was by the place of worship which Jesus frequented during that time. But what I wanted to understand is this man was never healed by Jesus.

3:20 Speaker 2: Have you ever thought about this. This man lived longer than Jesus's earthly lifespan when Jesus walked on earth as a man. Yet this man never received a miracle from Jesus. Yet this man never encountered Jesus. Jesus was in that same vicinity, Jesus was in that same area, but yet this man did not receive from Jesus. Now, this is something that used to boggle my mind. Can you feel like can you imagine in a little sense it will look like the son of the Living God went around doing miracles. Jesus was in the same city, in the same vicinity, and yet this man never got to encounter Jesus and get the miracle from Jesus.

4:08 Speaker 2: Have you ever felt like people around me are getting the miracle. People around me are getting married, people around me are getting a job, People around me are getting the blessing, But somehow it feels like the blessing is teaching people behind me, on my back, on the side in front of me, but it's missing me. Do you feel like that this man could have felt like that, because you see, there was a time when Jesus chased away all the evildoers from the place of worship. Remember there was a time he did that.

4:39 Speaker 2: Jesus was in the same vicinity. Guys, he was in the same city. He was popular. There were huge crowds of thousands that gathered for Jesus. Yet this man, for some reason, never got a miracle, even though he was begging in front of that gate called beautiful in same place of worship. Can you imagine that? Can you think about this? You may feel like John, people around me are getting the miracle, and what is wrong maybe it's never meant for me, or why is God not giving me this this miracle? Why am I being like this?

5:17 Speaker 2: In you know, how do you call this like an unlucky person? Do you feel like an unlucky person? You feel like everybody else is getting it and somehow you're missing it. But I want you to understand it's good that this story does not end this way because if you see chapter three, Peter and John, they encounter the man and the man gets healed immediately. Okay, there are so many things that we can learn from that passage, but I want to focus in line with what we're talking about. And this man gets his healing.

5:56 Speaker 2: And what is interesting is that this leads to and John getting the opportunity to share about Jesus through the crowds. That was so excited to see this man getting a miracle after forty years. But look at us four of chapter four because of this, five thousand people God saved that day. Five thousand people gave their life to Christ because of this miracle. Now I wanted to hold your horses. Jesus did so many miracles. Jesus healed so many people, including the man in John Chapter five a crippled man of thirty eight years, Jesus healed him.

6:37 Speaker 2: So Jesus healed so many, including the crippled and the lame, Whereas this miracle happened through John and Peter. But yes, the thing, if this was also a miracle that Jesus had performed, it would have just been like another miracle of Jesus. It would have just been like a miracle that just Jesus died when he walked and it's done and dusted. But because this miracle happened through the apostles John and Peter, what happened. It led to the rise of the miracles in the church. It led to five thousand people getting saved.

7:22 Speaker 2: See when Jesus fed the five thousand people uncourt never got saved. They got their food and they left. But when Peter and James healed the scrippled man through the power of the Holy Spirit, five thousand people got saved. That is what I wanted to understand. Maybe this man missed getting the miracle through Jesus because God was going to do the miracle in his life in such a way that the church is going to be born through this miracle, that the Church will be strengthened in number with five thousand new souls added because of this one man's miracle.

8:04 Speaker 2: Can you think about the magnitude of that miracle. Can you imagine how many people would have spoken and say, you know what, I'm saved today because of the crippled man. Or they could have been family members who say, oh, you know what, my entire family got saved today because of that crippled man. Can you think about this? Through that one man, there could have been more and more people who would have got saved, saved, saved. So imagine that five thousand would have led to you, like maybe fifty thousand people getting saved because of one man getting his miracle later than it should have happened.

8:47 Speaker 2: Maybe you're feeling like, oh, John, am I unlucky because God is not showing up. Maybe you feel like, have I missed my miracle? Or is God never going to show up in my life? Or I do not know why I was right to there, but somehow it feels like just miss miss I'm missing my moment. I'm missing the potential opportunity, I'm missing the breakthrough moment. I'm missing out on meeting somebody I do not know, like maybe if you're saying, like I was in this position, I could have easily got this contract, but I missed it.

9:26 Speaker 2: Or maybe you feel like, oh, I didn't know this person was single. I could have easily possibly met with this person and I could have got married, But now she's getting married and I'm not. You know things like that. You feel like people around you are getting the miracle but you're missing it. It feels like you're in an unlucky spot. No, maybe you're not unlucky. The reason is because when the miracle happens in your life, not only will you be blessed, but multitudes will be blessed. Not only will you praise the Lord, but multitudes and generations will praise the Lord because of the miracle that God wants.
