0:43 Welcome to Fuel for the Soul with John GIFTA. A lot of people today are losing their sleep. What are anxious? Not knowing how things are going to work out. Maybe you're looking at your future, looking at the things that are right in front of you, maybe some decisions you need to make, some choices you need to make, or maybe just life is happening in front of you and you have to make some quick decisions. Are quick turnarounds or something that you need to do a quick act in front of you and you're like, oh my goodness, John, I don't know how it's all going to play out.

1:22 I don't know how it's called going to make sense. All I can see is it's such a rugged path. It's all I can see is it's so crooked and and I wish, you know, I would get as out of the details, and I wish I would be able to take the right decision and move ahead in the right track that God has for me. You know, you may be in a place like that where there's so much of confusion turmoil, and you're wondering how it's all going to play out and work out in your life. I just want to share something with you guys.

1:55 You know, these scriptures may be very familiar with and this is a message on a zone that you may be familiar with. But sometimes I think, you know, like I said before, you know, we need to have that faith because when we go through tough times. You know, the scripture says faith comes by the hearing and the hearing of the word right, it's not a one time thing you heard once and that's it for life. You know, sometimes we need to constantly remind ourselves and you know, receive that word over and over again.

2:22 Still it gets into a spirit. So through that process, when you constantly feed and keep hearing the Word of God through that process is how faith is developed. Right, So, if you're in a season where you're looking at those crooked paths, I just want to share two scriptures with you, and I want to take this forward. It's just found in Isaiah forty five, verse two, and the Lord is saying, I will go before you and make your crooked path straight. I will go before you and make your crooked path straight.

2:51 Some translations use I will go before you and level the mountains. Another one it says I will go before you and make the rough places smooth. Another one it says I will go before you and make the rugged places plain. So the common thing you need to understand is that, yes, you may be looking at something and you're like, oh my goodness, how is this ever going to make sense? Now? Remember God has already gone before you. He's gone ahead of you. And I just love that translation which we're saying.

3:24 I think it's a varying study Bibles says I will go before you and level the mountains. So when I was thinking of this verse, you know one thing that just struck me. Okay. I love to study or watch documentaries, especially of topics that interest me and one of the topics that I love the most is Mount Everest, and I've studied this a lot. And one of the things is, I don't know if you've heard of it, but this is what actually happened. So there are these guys called the sherpas, who are the local natives of this region.

3:55 Right, the Sherpas, they're very skilled in climbing. And what these people do is they go before the actual mountaineers. They will go before the actual climbers. Okay, now, if you know what it's actually the mountaineers don't go alone. They're always accompanied by sherpers. It can be either private sherper just for one individual, or there can be some sherpers who are there like guideposts, who help out people who need help. And you know, they're very skilled at it. They can you know, they're they're like the masters of the mountain, you know what I mean that that's who they are.

4:31 Like. Even when Hillary and Tensing reached the top of the Everest, right, Hillary was a mountaineer, but Dancing was a sherper. He was a local person, so he was an expert in that he knew everything. So so I wanted to understand in this perspective, the sherper goes before he What they do is they go they check you for all the pathways clear, if there's any trouble along the way, They check if there is um you know, like if all the rope are intact. And after they check that the ropes are all intact, and then they will you signal out or give the instruction for other people to follow.

5:09 So so these sherpers always like for example, if you're traveling to the top of Mount Everest, right you have the base camp Camp one, Camp two, Camp three, Camp four, then you have hillary step and eventually to the top of the summit through South Summit. Here's the thing. If if the mountaineers are still in Camp one, the sherpers are already in Camp two a Camp three, you know, making sure things are fine. I hope you're getting the context here. That's how they go before they're already gone ahead.

5:36 So when the mountaineers are actually moving, you know, they know that somebody has already gone before them, you know, ensuring everything is safe, everything everything is intact. That's how things are done. So I wanted to understand that is the exact kind of an analogy. You can see here that even before you step in today, God has already stepped in today. He's gone ahead of you too. Today, He's gone ahead of you into your future to make sure that your crook its parts are straight. Have you ever thought about it that way?

6:06 Another verse have and I'm on her remand you again on the same lines you're trying to be thirty one verse eight, It says the Lord himself goes before you and will be with you. He will never leave you, nor forsake you. To not be afraid and to not be discouraged. The Lord himself goes before you. Like in this example, I said, a sher part you know, is individual. The individual himself goes before you. Right, It's it's not like a robot is sent where the robot on malfunction, you know, it's an individual himself who can go before Look.

6:42 So so think about this, A man you know is trusted to go ahead to make sure everything is fine. Then can you imagine that God is saying, I am myself going ahead of you. I'm not just sending a robo. I'm not just sending an angel. I'm not just sending good wishes. I'm not just sending you know, like somebody in front of you know, no, no, no, God is saying I myself, I'm going before you and I will make sure that all will be well in your life. God. Today I pray for those who are afraid, discouraged. I pray that this word will go forth, encourage, strengthen those are in time of need.

7:18 Lord, I pray that this word will be a blessing in the name of Jesus Christ. God. If for those who are going through that, maybe it's a reminder, but maybe it's a word of encouragement. Maybe they just needed this word at this point. Whatever it is, Law, let this word go forth and be a blessing in Jesus name. I pray, Amen, God bless you.
