Speaker 1: Welcome to Fuel for the Soul with John GIFTA.
Speaker 2: Hey there, fellow single waiting for God to bring the right person into your life. I don't know a bit what mindset you're watching this video. Maybe you are upset, or you're discouraged, or you're failing frustrated. Oh my goodness, John, another Valentine's Day and I'm still single.
Speaker 3: Why I'm not able to meet the person of my dreams?
Speaker 2: Why am I able to see other people, you know, walking in this dream and I'm not able to see this?
Speaker 3: What is God doing with my life? Are you frustrated? Well? I want you to hear me out right. I want you to hear me out.
Speaker 2: I'm not preaching this from a place of like, you know what, I've figured everything out and I'm you know, in a better place in this area. But I want to share this to encourage you because I understand the pain. I understand the struggles. I understand the opposition that you face. I understand the questions that you may have, and so I want I want to talk to you directly from that so that it will be a blessing.
Speaker 3: All right, So a stent formost.
Speaker 2: I want you to understand the minute you go on social media, the minute you hear another person like, oh my gosh, this person who is my friend or my classmate or my close associate is getting married, and you feel like, oh my gosh, when is my turn?
Speaker 3: Why isn't it happening for me? Why isn't this working out for me?
Speaker 2: Or you switch on your social media or turn on anything right you see the feed full of people you know progressing in your life in this area or in other areas, and.
Speaker 3: You feel like, what is happening?
Speaker 2: Well, I want you to understand something here, guys, that God still has a plan for you and you are right on schedule in God's time. See first thing I want you to understand it when you look at Luke. Chapter one talks about two different instances of a baby being born. Okay, one is talking about John, not John Gift, John the Baptist being born for Zacharai and Elizabeth, and the other is talking about Jesus being born to Mary. Here's the thing, right, The same chapter talks about two cases. For Zacharai and Elizabeth, it happens at a time when they're too old.
Speaker 2: It seems like it's too late. Whereas for Mary, she's not even married yet. And here's the thing I wanted to understand that it seems like it's too early. What I want you to understand is that for somebody else it may happen quicker than you think. For somebody else, it may happen later than you think. But that's where you trust the timing of God. Just because it has not happened yet in your life does not mean it's not going to happen.
Speaker 3: It just means.
Speaker 2: That means that at the right appointed time by God, God will do what he has promised you.
Speaker 3: I want you to understand.
Speaker 2: See, for example, when you're traveling from one nation to another. If you're traveling from India to Singapore, or from London to America, what do you do.
Speaker 3: The first thing you do is.
Speaker 2: Change the time on your watch, because when I'm traveled to Singapore, I cannot use the watch still showing me the time of India. It's going to be a problem. Right, you change to that time. You adapt to that time when you travel to another nation.
Speaker 3: Same way when you say yes to God.
Speaker 2: And his plan and his will over your life, you need to adapt to his timing all your life. So don't let society put you in that mold and say you are too late. It's not about the time said by society. You don't have to worry about expectations laid by you by society. Society doesn't define your life. God defines your life. It's not about the time set by society. It's about the time said by God. Say yes to God. Sometimes people come and say, you know what, Oh, I can't wait for you to get married, and in reality, you know you look at them.
Speaker 3: They don't even care about you.
Speaker 2: You don't have to worry about opinions of people who don't even.
Speaker 3: Care about you. Learn to live your life.
Speaker 2: To please God, not to please people, not to be in the good books of everybody.
Speaker 3: That's not your job.
Speaker 2: Your job is to do the will of God at the right time, God will do what he needs to do in your life. So don't be pressured to take a step, don't make a desperate move and end up in a place of desperation. A lot of people mess up like that. I know so many people around you know, they out of the desperation because of the pressure set by society. They just sell like somebody, choose some option, just get it done, thinking that will solve the problem. But that leads to the rise in divorce cases all around.
Speaker 3: That's why so.
Speaker 2: Many people around are just separating, ending up in divorce. Why because they're moving out of desperation instead of moving by the leading of God. See when you think about First Samuel, chapter sixteen. Okay, this is a very powerful revelation. This is a very powerful thing. I want you to remember. There's a moment when Prophet Samuil is about to and knowing the next king of Israel, and he goes to Jesse's house and Jesse does not line up David. He lines up the rest of the sons and you just thinking.
Speaker 2: I want you to understand that Prophet Samuel did not desperately choose one of the sons of Jesse just because they were the ones available, or they were the ones in front of him. He did not just choose one of the options that was standing in front of him. He was determined to be led by God. Even when he was about to make a mistake, God spoke to him and said this is not the one. And he continued to be led by God, and he said, are you sure these are all the sons you got? You know, imagine second guessing the Father himself right and saying are you sure?
Speaker 2: And to a point where he did not stop till David was called in, and God said, that is the one I have chosen, and he went and chose David and anointed David. I want you to understand today, your saints of God, don't just desperately choose somebody just because they're the ones available, just because they are the options in front of you, but rather be.
Speaker 3: Led by this heredit of God. Don't go by what.
Speaker 2: You see, go beyond what you see to say, you know what, I don't have the leading. I'm sorry, I can't choose this person. Hey, the Holy Spiritual doesn't want me to do this. I'm not going to do this out of desperation, because a lot of people make mistakes out of desperation and choose something just to get it done with and realize that that led them to more destruction.
Speaker 3: Don't let that happen to you.
Speaker 2: Don't choose one of the sons of Jesse just because your David has not yet reached.
Speaker 3: Your place. Wait for your David. Wait for your David at the right pointed time. God will bring the David. Just the disclaimer.
Speaker 2: He Sometimes people talk about physical attraction and people think, oh, you know what, if your really spiritual physical attraction should be thrown out of the window. No, people quote the same passage and say, see when Samuel was about to annoint Heally, I'm thinking, wow, this man looks like he's the suitable one. God says, no, I look at the inside the heart, and man looks out the outside. And people take that to say that, you know what, all that matters is the heart and not the appearance, and not the physical attraction.
Speaker 2: People say, oh, you're being shallow if you're looking at physical attraction, or you're not trusting God. You're not being led by the spirit if you are expecting to look at the outward. But he can I tell you something the minute David comes into the scene. Do you know what is the first definition of David? How the Bible describes David. He doesn't call David the man of the God's own heart. You know. The first definition of David is that if you look at a nalty version, it says he was dark in ansen with beautiful eyes.
Speaker 2: In the other version, it says he had a very fine appearance. In another version, it says he was very attractive. See, here's the thing about you. To understand, God is not going to ask you to marry someone that you're not attracted to. The one David that God is going to bring into your life will not only have a good heart, but will also be attractive, the one that is pleasing in your sight, the way God is wired you for. That's why don't be pressured to choose someone that you're not attracted to.
Speaker 2: You need to have that because that's the way the Bible talks about it, even in the stories in the when you talk about Song of Solomon, when you think about how Adam reacted when you saw Eve, or when you think about all the love stories in the Bible, it all comes to talk about that God did not say that you should choose someone just because they have a good heart. Okay. The warning is, don't choose someone just because they're attractive. Choose the David who not only is attractive but also has a good heart.
Speaker 3: Okay.
Speaker 2: And in the most and the other thing I want to talk about or I want to challenge you, is like I said in the Season of Waiting, develop your walk with God.
Speaker 3: Just keep depending on him. Do what you're supposed to do.
Speaker 2: Like Ruth was not sitting in the house and expecting Boas to come. It would never happen. She went to her field. Do what you're supposed to do. Go to your field of purpose. Ruth and Boas met at the field. Adam and Eve met in the garden. The field right field is your field of purpose. You focus on doing the will of God. Field of purpose that God has placed you in the right time. God will bring the right person across it. But God brought Eve, God brought Ruth and Boaz together. God knows what to do, so trust him.
Speaker 2: But John, it seems like it's never gonna happen. It should have happened by now. You don't know how God is going to make it happen. Ruth and Boaz never you won year earlier that they were gonna meet. Ruth had a backstory. She was a widower, so she was a widow. Boys was already an old man. Think about this. You may have baggages and labels saying you're too old, or that you have a backstory, maybe a divorce, or you went through a breakup that was nasty, or you have some kind of a backstory to your life.
Speaker 2: Maybe you are divorce or maybe you're a widow or widow. But here's the thing about in understand it is beautiful how God in spite of their story, in spite of their labels, God still had a beautiful story for them. I want you to trust that God still has a story for you. God still has a plan for you, and He is going to make it happen in your life.
Speaker 3: Trust him. Trust him.
Speaker 2: One of the scriptures that I love the most so much is found in the Book of Corinthians when it says in the message version, stop wishing you as someplace else or with somebody else where you are right now is God plan for your life. Live, love, and obey right here, knowing this is where God wants you to be. That is the worst. I want you to get into your spirit, this is the worst. I want you to meditate. Every time I'm discouraged, you know, or when i feel like all the opposition comes, you're like, oh, just settle for something, just get it done with.
Speaker 3: Always go back to no. I want to be led by the Holy Spirit.
Speaker 2: Even if it takes longer time of waiting, it's worth it.
Speaker 3: Instead of rushing and making a mistake, don't let that be you. Don't let that be you.
Speaker 2: Don't allow the pressure from society and other people around you to cause you to make a mistake. Your life is precious. God's plan for you is precious, surrendered to him, and I believe and decree and declare that at the right, beautiful time, God will make all things beautiful and you will look back and say, wow, look what the Lord has done.
Speaker 3: Will do amazing things.
Speaker 2: And if you're someone who's watching after you went through a divorce, or you went through a breakup, or went through something where you have a baggage, I want to understand.
Speaker 3: I want you to understand God still has a plan for you.
Speaker 2: People in society they may talk about you, can I tell you something. They're not going to come and pay your bills. They're not going to be with you when you are in trouble. So choose the one that God leads you too. You don't have to worry about the people whose opinions don't matter. Worry about the opinion of God. Whether he approves it, then go for it and wait till He approves the person in your life. And I pray the name of Jesus, and I release this word that as it encourages me. This is the way God encourages me through his word.
Speaker 2: I want you to be encouraged. If you are a fellow single like me, you're waiting on the Lord. I believe that at the right time, he's going to show up in my life.
Speaker 3: He's going to show up in your life. He is faithful, He's an awesome God. Do you believe it.
