1:04 Speaker 2: talk about one aspect I believe is so needed for us,

1:08 Speaker 2: especially in a time and age when everybody puts everything

1:11 Speaker 2: out there on social media. The minute you go on

1:15 Speaker 2: you see somebody else putting their highlights every time as

1:19 Speaker 2: a Christen single, you see, oh, somebody else gets engaged,

1:22 Speaker 2: or you're waiting for you know, like a child, and

1:26 Speaker 2: you see somebody else posting that they got a child,

1:28 Speaker 2: or they're getting blessed with another baby, or you're looking

1:31 Speaker 2: at somebody else on their vacation trips and you are

1:33 Speaker 2: struggling to meet your daily needs being met, and you're like, oh,

1:37 Speaker 2: my goodness, what is going on? And that's why you

1:40 Speaker 2: have to remember the Bible says in First Currentines thirteen

1:43 Speaker 2: was for that we already spoke about love is patient,

1:46 Speaker 2: love is kind. And today I'm going to talk about

1:48 Speaker 2: an important aspect, love does not envy. I want you

1:52 Speaker 2: to understand this important truth, guys. Love does not envy.

1:56 Speaker 2: And what does the word in me mean? In me

1:58 Speaker 2: means that you feel frustrated or anger towards the fact

2:03 Speaker 2: that somebody else is having what you would like to have.

2:07 Speaker 2: How do you feel when somebody else is walking in

2:09 Speaker 2: the very things you've been praying for? How do you

2:12 Speaker 2: feel when you are reading on God for a job

2:15 Speaker 2: you're looking at somebody else getting three job offers? How

2:19 Speaker 2: do you feel when you are reading on God to

2:21 Speaker 2: get married? But somebody else is getting the things that

2:25 Speaker 2: you would be like, oh my gosh, how did they

2:27 Speaker 2: get together? Why isn't God showing up in my life?

2:31 Speaker 2: Or you're looking at somebody else posting about their kid

2:34 Speaker 2: and you're like, I'm struggling to get a child for

2:37 Speaker 2: this many years. Or they got into this new home

2:41 Speaker 2: and I'm still being ranked in this home, or see,

2:44 Speaker 2: I wanted to understand something here right. God has promised

2:47 Speaker 2: that he would bless us. He has good plans for

2:49 Speaker 2: us when we continue to look up to him, walk

2:52 Speaker 2: in his guidance and his plans and his purposes, and

2:56 Speaker 2: walk in wisdom over the finance he has given us,

2:59 Speaker 2: and walk in with in the way he wants us

3:01 Speaker 2: to contact ourselves. What happens, no good thing? Believe with

3:05 Speaker 2: them that walk up brightly. God's timing is different. God's

3:08 Speaker 2: ways are different, and the way He leads each one

3:10 Speaker 2: of us is different. So today my question is are

3:13 Speaker 2: you in a place of envy when you look at

3:15 Speaker 2: somebody else? First thing, I want to let you know

3:18 Speaker 2: that everybody's starting point is different. You may be looking

3:21 Speaker 2: at someone else and feeling like they are ahead of

3:24 Speaker 2: you in life, but you do not know where they started.

3:27 Speaker 2: Maybe you were far behind, maybe there were hurdles that

3:30 Speaker 2: you had to endure, But it's not at a disadvantage.

3:34 Speaker 2: It's just that God's appointed time. He's going to help

3:38 Speaker 2: you get what He has planned for you, what He

3:41 Speaker 2: has prepared for you. When you think about Joseph in

3:43 Speaker 2: the Bible, you know, the comparer spent a lesser time

3:47 Speaker 2: in the prison than Joseph, but the promotion that Joseph

3:51 Speaker 2: God was bigger than what the comparer got. When the

3:55 Speaker 2: compara went back to the palace, he went back as

3:58 Speaker 2: a comparer. But when Joseph left the prison, he went

4:02 Speaker 2: to the second highest position in the whole kingdom as

4:06 Speaker 2: a prime minister. So I want you to understand that

4:08 Speaker 2: when you wait longer, it's not for you to be

4:11 Speaker 2: envious of somebody else who's getting a blessing in a

4:14 Speaker 2: quicker route. And again, when you say real quicker route,

4:17 Speaker 2: sometimes you do not really know what the other person

4:20 Speaker 2: is going through or has been through. Sometimes. The other

4:24 Speaker 2: day I was talking to this friend of mine, and

4:27 Speaker 2: she knows a lot about the struggles I've been through

4:30 Speaker 2: and retrunning the ministry in the midst of everything, And

4:33 Speaker 2: she said something she said, you know, very few people

4:37 Speaker 2: know about the depth of what I'm going through, And

4:39 Speaker 2: she said, you have actually carried out really well. And

4:42 Speaker 2: she said something very important. She said, a lot of people,

4:46 Speaker 2: you know envy you know somebody who's doing work like

4:49 Speaker 2: the way you do, but they do not know the

4:51 Speaker 2: kind of stuff you've been through or you're going through

4:54 Speaker 2: and still doing what you're doing. And that's why I

4:57 Speaker 2: don't like when people envy. She said this, and that

5:00 Speaker 2: held on to me because I believe that it's true. Right,

5:03 Speaker 2: like we envy someone else not knowing what do they

5:07 Speaker 2: go through, maybe you wouldn't even be able to handle

5:11 Speaker 2: a bit of the kind of challenges they've went through.

5:15 Speaker 2: You know, I've shared this so many times that over

5:18 Speaker 2: the years I've gone through so much of attacks, so

5:20 Speaker 2: much of opposition, so much of pain to endure. So

5:23 Speaker 2: many times I would cry in the bed and so much.

5:27 Speaker 2: I know it's being vulnerable and sharing this, but I've

5:31 Speaker 2: been put off, I've been discounted, I've been made fun of,

5:35 Speaker 2: I've been mocked, I've been ridiculed. I've gone through so

5:37 Speaker 2: much over the years, and the reason I still show up,

5:41 Speaker 2: the reason I still do what I do to do

5:43 Speaker 2: what God has called me to do, is like it's

5:45 Speaker 2: not because it's easy, but because I know that when

5:48 Speaker 2: it's all said and done, I'm blessing lives through this

5:51 Speaker 2: process and at the right appointed time, God will bless

5:54 Speaker 2: and show up in my life. But the three thing

5:56 Speaker 2: is that a lot of times I know this, like,

6:00 Speaker 2: you know, a lot of people would not be able

6:02 Speaker 2: to sustain or survive in the kind of environment or

6:05 Speaker 2: the attacks that I've been through. But you know, like

6:09 Speaker 2: so it makes no sense for somebody to actually be

6:12 Speaker 2: envious or how can you have a top ranking podcast?

6:15 Speaker 2: How can you be a best selling author? How can

6:17 Speaker 2: you travel to nations and preach? Will look at me?

6:20 Speaker 2: But you do not know the kind of attacks I've

6:22 Speaker 2: been through. You do not know how many discouragements I

6:26 Speaker 2: have endured. You do not know how many times I

6:28 Speaker 2: was put down, ridiculed, and mark You do not know

6:31 Speaker 2: like how I go through things behind the scenes and

6:35 Speaker 2: still show up. See, instead of being envious of somebody,

6:40 Speaker 2: think about what they've been through. You know. I love

6:42 Speaker 2: another statement someone said, they said a testimony can either

6:48 Speaker 2: irritate you or it can inspire you. You know, you

6:50 Speaker 2: can either affelate irritated why is God blessing them and

6:53 Speaker 2: not me? Or it can inspire you to say, if

6:56 Speaker 2: God bless them, he will definitely bless me. Because God

7:00 Speaker 2: is a good God. He's not a partial God. If

7:02 Speaker 2: you would stay in faide, he will show up in

7:05 Speaker 2: your life. If you would trust him, he will lead

7:08 Speaker 2: you through the best part He has designed for you.

7:11 Speaker 2: If something is not working in a certain direction, you're

7:13 Speaker 2: not getting what you want in a certain direction, maybe

7:16 Speaker 2: God wants to bless you in a different direction. You know,

7:20 Speaker 2: I want you to get to that place where you say, God,

7:22 Speaker 2: what is it that you want me to endo work on?

7:25 Speaker 2: What is the direction you want me to go? Instead

7:27 Speaker 2: of being envious of somebody else, help me to praise

7:31 Speaker 2: God for them and praise you in advance for what

7:35 Speaker 2: you're about to do in my life. So today I

7:38 Speaker 2: want to pray over each one of you. But if

7:40 Speaker 2: there are areas in your life where you feel envious

7:43 Speaker 2: about somebody or something, Maybe you are envious about someone

7:46 Speaker 2: out there on your social media feed, listen. There are

7:50 Speaker 2: some things you can do, Like if something is affecting

7:52 Speaker 2: your mind, you want to take a break, take a

7:54 Speaker 2: break and follow them for a while, or you want

7:57 Speaker 2: to take a break from social media, generally go ahead

8:01 Speaker 2: and do it. Or if some you know, like if

8:05 Speaker 2: you're feeling like, oh my gosh, why is this person

8:07 Speaker 2: being blessed? If you feel you know, going near them

8:10 Speaker 2: or being near that person is making those envious feeling

8:14 Speaker 2: feelings to rise even more, maybe take a break, take

8:18 Speaker 2: a step back, and pray that God works in your

8:20 Speaker 2: heart to make you deal with that envy and then

8:24 Speaker 2: come to that place of security in God, knowing that

8:26 Speaker 2: God asked you in the best place and he knows

8:29 Speaker 2: when to give you what you need, and then you

8:31 Speaker 2: can you know, reassociate with that person. At the same time,

8:35 Speaker 2: Also remember that the person that you are envious about

8:39 Speaker 2: me have gone through beyond what you can even imagine.

8:43 Speaker 2: So instead of being envious, I pray that we will

8:45 Speaker 2: walk in love and always walk in love and always

8:49 Speaker 2: be people who show that loud one to another. Amen,
