Speaker 1: Welcome to Fuel for the Soul with John Gifta.
Speaker 2: Hello everyone, Welcome to this edition of the Fuel for the Soul of John gift Of podcast. And as you would have seen by the title that we're doing the CDs on how to Practically Walk in Love. We've covered a lot of practical things and this week, as we just get started to talk about a couple of things which maybe you already know. But I just want us to just journey together and pray that the Holy Spirit will show us the areas to get better at this because for me, I don't like to just take a verse at the surface level.
Speaker 2: I want to go deep. I want to make sure that I'm actually applying this in my life, so that I'm actually walking out the way God intends for me to do. And we already spoke about certain aspects from the passage that's known as the Passage of Love in the Bible in First Corinthians, Apter thirteen, where I spoke to you from verse four, the first part which is love is patient. I shared that in a couple of episodes where I spoke to you about how people are in a work in progress and we need to be people who are patient with people as they are in the process.
Speaker 2: And today I want to talk about one aspect, which is love is kind You might know this, you might have heard this a million times, but I just pray in the name of Jesus Christ that today will be a moment where you are making the intentional step to see an introspect. If you're really working in that kindness, are you showing kindness to people? Kindness is not just not hurting someone, but kindness is trying to go the extra mile and being good to them when you see somebody hurting. It's not just to say, oh, I'm praying for you, But if you can actually help them in some way to stand with them, maybe give them some money, or to actually help them with an encouraging word, or actually help them in doing something for them.
Speaker 2: I really recommend you to ask the Lord to show you people that you can be kind to. If you're seeing somebody who's just on the street and they're trying to sell something, and sometimes one of the things that again we can't do this all the time because of our commitments, I'm sure of that that there are times when sometimes, you know, you buy something just to be kind to them. I remember they recently been for a dinner and we were outside, you know, waiting for the vehicle, and there was a little boy coming and trying to sell something that I think like a cross or something, and there was no need for a rose, but looking at him, I just said, you know what, I feel sad for you.
Speaker 2: Everyone else was just like trying to ignore. I was like, I'm buying that. And then I gave him a one hundred Indian rupee note and I just gave it to him. He wanted to give me the rose. I said, no, no, it's I just want to bless you. And then just because he was he started crying and then he gave me two roses. But here's the thing I want you to understand, right Like I, of course you know that rose would have been like twenty Indian rupees, but I'd given him a hundred rupee note. But the thing is just that act of kindness, you know, like I didn't have to buy I could have just said, you know what, that's his problem.
Speaker 2: But that is what is to be in that place where you're sensitive to look someone and be like, you know what, let me be generous with money or time. Sometimes. The other day I met with someone and this person just wanted to went and even though I had some things planned out, I was like, you know what, this person needs this and took some time out and to just invest in the person. See what I'm trying to say is we all have our schedule, busy schedule, and for me, I've shared this so many times, my schedule is as arctic as ever.
Speaker 2: I work in a full time corporate job. I'm an aerospace engineer and I'm running the ministry with a daily podcast, YouTube, socials and TV everything like this so much on my plate. But the thing is I've been praying God helped me to be intentional about being kind to people, kind to people through my actions, kind to people through my words, because sometimes all the people need is a word of encouragement, just to say, hey, you did a good job. You know, sometimes we tend to withhold good things right, But I challenge you cool go out and be the guy who wants to give in to people, you know.
Speaker 2: Or what I mean, like for example, for my nature is I just still remember even yesterday in church, the pastor preach the sermon and I went to him. I just said, hey, faster, you did a great job today. I really loved your message. Now, to be honest, I'm saying this from my heart, you know. Like I mean, people can just say he's just doing his job, you know what I mean, He's just doing his job. But I was like, no, because I'm a minister. I know how it feels when someone comes and tells me sometimes your message was a blessing to me, and I'm like, I want to bless others.
Speaker 2: I want to go and tell him. And today, if you're listening to this, you know, it would be awesome if you could connect with me, maybe through the socials like Instagram or Facebook, or through YouTube, or some way, or you can even connect through my WALSAP broadcast and reach out and say how these messages have been a blessing to you. You know, don't just keep it to yourself. Be someone who's kind enough with your words to encourage someone. You know. I talk more about encouraging later in another segment, but today I'm challenging you to make it your commitment to be someone who would be kind kind to one another no matter what.
Speaker 2: Today ask the Lord, Lord, whom can I be kind? To Show me someone that I can fulfill them with your kindness. Show me someone that I can go the extra mile and be nice to someone and help them phether through action, to through deeds, through works, or through work words or just doing being there for them. It could be something. And I pray that the Lord will show you people so that you will go the extra mile, that when you walk people will say, hey, this person is an emblem of kindness. This person doesn't have pride or anything, is so kind all the time.
Speaker 2: And I pray that you will be that. In the name of Jesus, Immen, God bless you.
