0:49 Speaker 2: Hey, are you in a place, in a live age, just looking at how nothing seems to make sense? Everything is beyond your control. And you're saying, John, I don't understand what's happening with my life. I don't have a say. It's so unfair, John, I really wish God would show up and answer my prayers. I'm crying out to him. I don't understand where he see it. Does he really love me? Does he really have good plans for my life? Well? I want to share and encourage you. You know, based on the word of God from the life of Joseph.

1:17 Speaker 2: You know, there are so many things that we can take away from Joseph's life, and one thing that you can look at is the fact that most of the things that happened in his life were beyond his control. Things were so unfair, and it's such an inspiration for us to see how this guy was able to have the right mindset. He did not complain, He had the right mindset. Even in the end, he had a really humble heart. He didn't even take vengeance on his brothers. You know, he's one of the best examples that I can look at, and so many lessons we can learn from his life.

1:48 Speaker 2: But I want to talk about some important things. Right when you look at his life from the beginning, the fact that his brothers hated him, he was not in his control. The fact that his dad loved him like, you know, more than others, or if favoritism were shown that was not in Joseph's hands he couldn't do anything about it. Or the fact when you look at the fact that you know he had these big dreams which made others be jealous of him, it was not in his hands. You know, sometimes even people tell me, you know, you have big dreams, you should water down and you should come down to normal people's level.

2:24 Speaker 2: But here's the thing, right, I serve a big God, So I have big dreams, and I believe that the God who has said and called me is faithful to you know, accomplish the big things that he has destined me to do. When I have the faith to believe, and I allow him to lead me every step along the way. And I've been able to see a lot of big things happen in my life which other people are amazed about, only because I love the Lord to do what he has called and placed in me to do. You get what I'm saying. So here's the thing.

2:53 Speaker 2: Nothing in Joseph's life was something that he could control. And sometimes it just doesn't make sense when you look at how his brothers treated him. They threw him into a pit. It was not in his control. He couldn't run away. He was outpowered by him. They tried to, you know, sell him to the Ishmaelites. He couldn't say anything about it. He couldn't do anything. He couldn't stop it. It was beyond his control. Now here's the thing I want to speak to you. From chapter thirty nine of Genesis, and this is what it says.

3:24 Speaker 2: Now, Joseph had been taken down to Egypt, party for an Egyptian who was one of Pharaoh's officials, the captain of the god, the captain of the prison cells, right, basically bought him from the Ishmaelites. Okay, I want you to understand here. When he was taken to Egypt, there could be so many people who could have bought him. So many people could have had their eyes on him. They would have been like, you know, I want this guy. You know, you know, so many people, normal people could have actually bought him.

3:54 Speaker 2: But here's the thing. It so happened that somebody who was one of Pharaoh's officials, somebody connected to the pharaoh, somebody connected to the prison god, and that person party for ends up buying him. Right, It was not in Joseph's control. Joseph could not have a say in this, and still it was nothing beyond God's control. That's what I want you to understand. Why do I say that because in the end, when Potifer's wife wrongly accuses Joseph and he's about to be thrown into the prison, if you look at verse twenty, it says, Joseph's master took him and put him in prison, the place where the king's prisoners were confined.

4:35 Speaker 2: You see, if he was bought by a normal person, he would have been put in the normal prison. But because he was bought by a person connected to the pharaoh, he was in charge of the palace guard. What happens here is this important too, That he was put in the king's prisoner's block, right in that prison, and because so that he was able to get connected with the Kaberra, who eventually helps him to get to the Pharaoh when the pharaoh required help, and that eventually takes him to becoming the prime minister equivalent of Egypt.

5:14 Speaker 2: Here's the thing. Every detail was beautifully connected by God. You know. God made sure that the right person bought him. You see, somebody buying a person is itself not a like kosher thing to talk about. But think about this. It was made sure. God was in control of even that. God was in control of even that which was beyond the control of Joseph. That's the word. I want to encourage you that every detail of your life has been planned and orchestrated by God, even when it is beyond your control.

5:48 Speaker 2: Your life is still in the control of Almighty God. When you say yes to his plan, when you say yes to His will, when you say God, I commit to you and to your plan over my life. I'm telling you nobody can stop or snatch you from the plans that God has for you, even when what they do is bad and evil. The brothers of Joseph did not mean anything good for Joseph when they did what they did, but God turned that negative or the evil for good to be a blessing to nations today. Can you have that perspective, say God, even the things which are unfair, I know that You're going to bring something of greatness in my life.

6:25 Speaker 2: The things beyond my control. I believe that you are still in control of my life, and I choose to trust you, depend on you, and I'm going to continue to do what you want me to do and that at the right time. Just like Joseph was elevated, I believe my elevation is coming, my promotion is coming, my victory is coming, and my turnaround is coming. In Jesus' name, God bless you.
