1:02 Speaker 2: up and answer my prayers. I'm crying out to him.

1:05 Speaker 2: I don't understand where he see it. Does he really

1:08 Speaker 2: love me? Does he really have good plans for my life? Well?

1:11 Speaker 2: I want to share and encourage you. You know, based

1:14 Speaker 2: on the word of God from the life of Joseph.

1:17 Speaker 2: You know, there are so many things that we can

1:18 Speaker 2: take away from Joseph's life, and one thing that you

1:21 Speaker 2: can look at is the fact that most of the

1:24 Speaker 2: things that happened in his life were beyond his control.

1:27 Speaker 2: Things were so unfair, and it's such an inspiration for

1:30 Speaker 2: us to see how this guy was able to have

1:33 Speaker 2: the right mindset. He did not complain, He had the

1:36 Speaker 2: right mindset. Even in the end, he had a really

1:39 Speaker 2: humble heart. He didn't even take vengeance on his brothers.

1:43 Speaker 2: You know, he's one of the best examples that I

1:46 Speaker 2: can look at, and so many lessons we can learn

1:48 Speaker 2: from his life. But I want to talk about some

1:50 Speaker 2: important things. Right when you look at his life from

1:53 Speaker 2: the beginning, the fact that his brothers hated him, he

1:57 Speaker 2: was not in his control. The fact that his dad

2:02 Speaker 2: loved him like, you know, more than others, or if

2:05 Speaker 2: favoritism were shown that was not in Joseph's hands he

2:08 Speaker 2: couldn't do anything about it. Or the fact when you

2:11 Speaker 2: look at the fact that you know he had these

2:13 Speaker 2: big dreams which made others be jealous of him, it

2:16 Speaker 2: was not in his hands. You know, sometimes even people

2:18 Speaker 2: tell me, you know, you have big dreams, you should

2:21 Speaker 2: water down and you should come down to normal people's level.

2:24 Speaker 2: But here's the thing, right, I serve a big God,

2:26 Speaker 2: So I have big dreams, and I believe that the

2:28 Speaker 2: God who has said and called me is faithful to

2:32 Speaker 2: you know, accomplish the big things that he has destined

2:34 Speaker 2: me to do. When I have the faith to believe,

2:37 Speaker 2: and I allow him to lead me every step along

2:39 Speaker 2: the way. And I've been able to see a lot

2:41 Speaker 2: of big things happen in my life which other people

2:44 Speaker 2: are amazed about, only because I love the Lord to

2:47 Speaker 2: do what he has called and placed in me to do.

2:51 Speaker 2: You get what I'm saying. So here's the thing. Nothing

2:54 Speaker 2: in Joseph's life was something that he could control. And

2:58 Speaker 2: sometimes it just doesn't make sense when you look at

3:00 Speaker 2: how his brothers treated him. They threw him into a pit.

3:04 Speaker 2: It was not in his control. He couldn't run away.

3:06 Speaker 2: He was outpowered by him. They tried to, you know,

3:10 Speaker 2: sell him to the Ishmaelites. He couldn't say anything about it.

3:14 Speaker 2: He couldn't do anything. He couldn't stop it. It was

3:17 Speaker 2: beyond his control. Now here's the thing I want to

3:19 Speaker 2: speak to you. From chapter thirty nine of Genesis, and

3:23 Speaker 2: this is what it says. Now, Joseph had been taken

3:26 Speaker 2: down to Egypt, party for an Egyptian who was one

3:29 Speaker 2: of Pharaoh's officials, the captain of the god, the captain

3:33 Speaker 2: of the prison cells, right, basically bought him from the Ishmaelites. Okay,

3:39 Speaker 2: I want you to understand here. When he was taken

3:41 Speaker 2: to Egypt, there could be so many people who could

3:44 Speaker 2: have bought him. So many people could have had their

3:47 Speaker 2: eyes on him. They would have been like, you know,

3:48 Speaker 2: I want this guy. You know, you know, so many people,

3:52 Speaker 2: normal people could have actually bought him. But here's the thing.

3:56 Speaker 2: It so happened that somebody who was one of Pharaoh's officials,

4:00 Speaker 2: somebody connected to the pharaoh, somebody connected to the prison god,

4:04 Speaker 2: and that person party for ends up buying him. Right,

4:08 Speaker 2: It was not in Joseph's control. Joseph could not have

4:10 Speaker 2: a say in this, and still it was nothing beyond

4:15 Speaker 2: God's control. That's what I want you to understand. Why

4:17 Speaker 2: do I say that because in the end, when Potifer's

4:21 Speaker 2: wife wrongly accuses Joseph and he's about to be thrown

4:24 Speaker 2: into the prison, if you look at verse twenty, it says,

4:28 Speaker 2: Joseph's master took him and put him in prison, the

4:31 Speaker 2: place where the king's prisoners were confined. You see, if

4:36 Speaker 2: he was bought by a normal person, he would have

4:38 Speaker 2: been put in the normal prison. But because he was

4:41 Speaker 2: bought by a person connected to the pharaoh, he was

4:45 Speaker 2: in charge of the palace guard. What happens here is

4:49 Speaker 2: this important too, That he was put in the king's

4:54 Speaker 2: prisoner's block, right in that prison, and because so that

5:00 Speaker 2: he was able to get connected with the Kaberra, who

5:04 Speaker 2: eventually helps him to get to the Pharaoh when the

5:08 Speaker 2: pharaoh required help, and that eventually takes him to becoming

5:12 Speaker 2: the prime minister equivalent of Egypt. Here's the thing. Every

5:16 Speaker 2: detail was beautifully connected by God. You know. God made

5:20 Speaker 2: sure that the right person bought him. You see, somebody

5:25 Speaker 2: buying a person is itself not a like kosher thing

5:28 Speaker 2: to talk about. But think about this. It was made sure.

5:31 Speaker 2: God was in control of even that. God was in

5:35 Speaker 2: control of even that which was beyond the control of Joseph.

5:39 Speaker 2: That's the word. I want to encourage you that every

5:41 Speaker 2: detail of your life has been planned and orchestrated by God,

5:46 Speaker 2: even when it is beyond your control. Your life is

5:49 Speaker 2: still in the control of Almighty God. When you say

5:52 Speaker 2: yes to his plan, when you say yes to His will,

5:54 Speaker 2: when you say God, I commit to you and to

5:56 Speaker 2: your plan over my life. I'm telling you nobody can

6:00 Speaker 2: stop or snatch you from the plans that God has

6:02 Speaker 2: for you, even when what they do is bad and evil.

6:06 Speaker 2: The brothers of Joseph did not mean anything good for

6:08 Speaker 2: Joseph when they did what they did, but God turned

6:11 Speaker 2: that negative or the evil for good to be a

6:14 Speaker 2: blessing to nations today. Can you have that perspective, say God,

6:21 Speaker 2: even the things which are unfair, I know that You're

6:23 Speaker 2: going to bring something of greatness in my life. The

6:26 Speaker 2: things beyond my control. I believe that you are still

6:29 Speaker 2: in control of my life, and I choose to trust you,

6:31 Speaker 2: depend on you, and I'm going to continue to do

6:34 Speaker 2: what you want me to do and that at the

6:36 Speaker 2: right time. Just like Joseph was elevated, I believe my

6:39 Speaker 2: elevation is coming, my promotion is coming, my victory is coming,

6:43 Speaker 2: and my turnaround is coming. In Jesus' name, God bless you.
