0:58 start off on a new venture, when you are studying a new ministry,

1:03 a business, or a training program, whatever you're doing. Maybe you just

1:07 brought out a new book and a new initiative, what do you do.

1:11 You immediately rush to people in your contacts, You rush to people on your

1:15 forward, rush to people on your Facebook list, and see, oh,

1:21 somebody can support me. And you have this idea like, wow, I

1:25 have two thousand friends on Facebook, which means they're going to support me like

1:29 me. And after you start your venture, that's when you realize, oh

1:33 my goodness, I can have two thousand friends on Facebook, and it may

1:36 be hard to find even two people who would actually stand by you and be

1:41 supportive to you. Right. I wanted to understand something very important here.

1:49 This is an important word, because a lot of people are so disappointed.

1:52 They come out starting with that full fire and that passion and expecting that these

1:57 people will support them, family members will stand by them. They expected those

2:02 people in their contacts to be the ones who will unlock new doors and of

2:07 opportunity for them. That they thought that, Wow, I'm part of this

2:12 community. I think that community might help me. I am part of this

2:16 influential group, which means I may have some influence coming along by side.

2:22 I know this renowned person. I think they're going to speak up for me.

2:24 We start off with that expectation on people, and then very quickly everything

2:30 goes down the drain because we realize none of them are actually helping. Are

2:36 you in a place like that? Are you in a place you're saying,

2:38 John, I invested in these people, John. I supported these people.

2:44 John. I was always there for them. I was always supporting and cheering

2:49 them on. But today, when I'm standing on my own venture, when

2:53 I'm starting my own ministry. When I am doing this initiative on my own,

2:58 I don't have people, so I don't have help coming to me on

3:02 my end. Are you in a place like that? Now? Listen to

3:07 this, Cathleen. You may be in a place in your life today.

3:09 You're saying, John, all the people I supported and stood by their growing,

3:15 they're gone to new levels. But your I am nobody to support me,

3:20 nobody to stand by me, nobody to help me. What will I

3:23 do? Well? I've helped to tell you something? What important you?

3:29 When you look at Joseph in the Bible, ever since he was young,

3:31 he was always a person who went the extra mile. He was faithful in

3:36 the little. He was committed to every assignment given to him. Even when

3:39 he was in Potifoss house. That was not just when he wanted to be,

3:44 That was not where he was liking or enjoying being. But he was

3:49 a slave in Potifirs house. It just happened. But even in Partifos house,

3:53 he went the extra mile. He had the spirit of excellence. Potifus

3:57 could see the hand of God upon Joseph's life and could see the blessing that

4:02 was coming because of Joseph that he made Joseph in charge of the entire house.

4:09 Partifer has seen all of that, but Potifer did not stand by Joseph.

4:16 Tifer eventually stopped supporting Joseph. When Joseph was in the prison. You

4:21 have to remember that he ended up helping the cobra and he thought, wow,

4:27 I'm helping the camera, and he says, you know, when you

4:30 get back to the palace, tell the Pharaoh that I'm wrongly accused and I'm

4:32 here so that i can be set free by that cabra. Forgot about him.

4:38 You may be in a place people you invested in forgot about you.

4:43 People you stood by, and you who have seen the power of God and

4:46 the hand of God upon your life just stopped supporting you. And you're saying

4:53 people in my contacts, the people in Joseph's contacts at that moment where Potifer

5:00 and the cup bearer and the two people in Joseph's contacts had stopped supporting Joseph,

5:05 there are two people in Joseph's contacts no longer stood by him. The

5:10 two people in Joseph's contacts were not helping him in any way. The two

5:15 people in Joseph's contacts were just there in his contacts, but he could not

5:20 see any help coming from them. You may be in a place where you

5:26 are saying, John, I'm supporting people. I stood by them. These

5:30 are the people in my contacts, but there's none to help. Are you

5:33 feeling like that? But here's the amazing, beautiful thing that happens that Joseph

5:42 in the prison, he thought the people in his contacts would help him.

5:46 He thought, okay, fine, Potiphar is an old story. He's not

5:49 going to help me. But at least the cup bearer here, God has

5:53 brought a new contact. He's going to help me. He speaks to the

5:56 cup barton and says, remember me when you get out, and that caparo

6:00 also forgets him. And you may say, John, I don't know why

6:05 people are forgetting me. People in my contacts are not standing by me,

6:11 they're not supporting me. But here's the beautiful thing that eventually, the key

6:16 to the next level that God had for Joseph did not come from somebody in

6:20 his contacts, not from somebody within his reach. But the Pharaoh himself called

6:29 Joseph and gave him the opportunity to be the prime minister equivalent of the most

6:35 powerful nation in the world of the time, Egypt. Now think about this

6:40 important thing. The Pharaoh, somebody outside his leeed, somebody outside is contacts,

6:46 somebody way out of his reach, reached out and pulled him out of

6:53 the prison and gave him the key to the next level of his destiny.

6:57 What I want you to understand is your health is coming from outside your contact

7:01 lists. You're looking from within your contact lists and saying nobody's helping me.

7:05 You're saying people within your reach are not standing by you. Listen carefully.

7:10 When you are faithful, when you stand and be the kind of person that

7:15 God wants you to be, when you are committed to do what God has

7:17 called you to do, when you are going the extra mile, having the

7:21 spirit of excellence. Your help is coming from outside your contact list. People

7:27 you never thought who would stand by you, people who you never thought would

7:30 help you, are going to come helping you. It's going to happen.

7:34 It's going to happen. Now. I want to disclose with this example from

7:39 my life to share this as a testimony. I'm so grateful to God to

7:44 see what the Lord has been doing. Some of you would have just noticed

7:46 that we had some people I really looked up to coming on my podcast,

7:54 like we had Gabriella Grey's active from Disney and Hollywood's been on many run out

8:01 shows like Coop and Cammy that I watched. I was amazed and I'm still

8:05 amazed and grateful to God for that wow moment or based in of marketing comedy.

8:09 I've been watching markets of comedy for many years, to host them and

8:13 to be connected with them. I was wow with both of them. I

8:18 would consider as people outside my contact list that God brought into my life,

8:22 Like they were like the Pharaohs who were outside my contact list that God brought

8:26 into my life. Because you know, people I looked up to, people

8:31 within my reach, many people within this country. They looked down on me.

8:37 They despised me. They said all sorts of negative things about me.

8:39 They you could see from their tone, their behavior, their action. They

8:43 were looked down on me and ridiculed and walked me, took advantage of me,

8:48 and just wanted to get some personal benefit through me, but never really

8:52 cared about me as an individual. And when I noticed what was happening,

8:56 I just realized, you know, I was looking up to people I invested

9:00 in them so much I supported them, But I was feeling like, oh

9:05 my gosh, why can't they support me? Why can't they stand by me?

9:07 And I was in the touch a scenario when God beautifully orchestrated these connections.

9:13 You see, that's when God was showing me this beautiful illustration, like

9:18 people within Joseph's reach did not support him or stand by him. Like the

9:22 people who I thought would stand by and support the people I had invested in,

9:28 whom I thought, would you know, maybe come back and help me

9:30 out. I thought they would stand by. That didn't happen. But the

9:35 same way help came to Joseph from outside is contactless, when he got connections

9:41 from outside his leege or reach, the same way, God brought connections beyond

9:48 what I could imagine. People I never even dreamt that I would be connected

9:52 to God brought. That's what God can do in your life. If he

9:56 did it for me, if he did it for Joseph, He's going to

9:58 do it you. Big connections are coming, Divine connections are coming. Connections

10:03 you never taught possibly are coming. Those connections will make the difference in it.
