0:53 of times we tend to look at life as a whole when we see,

0:57 you know, oh my gosh, something has happening your past, or you

1:00 went through something bad in your past, and we think that that is going

1:04 to determine certain things as it comes or unfolds in your life. Now,

1:08 let me give you some two practical examples. Now, one of the things

1:11 people say, we got jobs for example, you know, trying not to

1:15 get laid off, or you know, when you're trying to apply for a

1:19 new job, you know, don't say you already lost a job. Or

1:23 you're not working. You know, always get a new job before you quit

1:26 the previous one. But if you've already lost your job or you're unemployed,

1:30 you getting a new job, the chances are very, very bleak, So

1:36 try to avoid you know, you know kind of pressure that mounts on a

1:40 lot of people. So if somebody has lost their job or they quit their

1:44 job for some reason they couldn't bear and they've still not found one, you

1:48 know, it seems like, oh my gosh, you made a mistake.

1:51 You You're never going to get another one. It's going to be hard,

1:53 it's going to be difficult, it's not going to work out for you.

1:57 That kind of a pressure kinds of kind of comes and of people use that

2:00 or allow that to make them feel more miserable and hurt because of what happened

2:06 in the past. Another example is UM in day of choosing relationships or marriages.

2:13 One of the things I've seen, um, you know, me being

2:15 a Christian single, I can share this even in um you know, all

2:19 these matrimony or all of these sites, dating apps and all of these things.

2:23 One of the things you've seen is you know, the a lot of

2:28 people put this filter, you know, I want somebody who's not yet married,

2:31 you know what I mean. So if somebody has gone through maybe a

2:36 divorce or are widowed for some reason, right, um, you know,

2:42 they're just filtered off, and the chances for such people seems very bleak.

2:46 You know that that's the way it seems. Uh. And and a lot

2:51 of times, you know, people are like, oh my gosh, I've

2:53 went through this divorce even though it's not my fault, is entirely the fault

2:58 of the other person. But I'm going through this. This is something you

3:00 know, a conversation I was having with a friend recently, you know,

3:02 like where she was going through this not at all because of her fault,

3:08 but because of the other person's choice. But you know she was going through

3:13 a tough time because of this. And you know, you may be in

3:15 a place today where you're saying, you know what, John, I went

3:20 through something in the past. Maybe something that you've gone through or experienced in

3:23 the past that you think will determine or affect the decisions or will affect your

3:32 future, will affect your present, you get what I'm saying. See,

3:38 I'm not denying the facts, right, It's the reality is true. You

3:43 know the odds are regainst you. But what I want you to understand is

3:46 above all of that is the goodness of God. Above all of that is

3:51 the faithfulness of God. Above all of that is the hand of God upon

3:55 your life. That's what I want to remind you today. You know,

3:59 the Lot reminding me of You know, when you think about Ruth in the

4:02 Bible, we always look at it as Wow, Ruth and bo As they

4:05 got together, and that's kind of like one of those love stories of the

4:09 Bible that you know a lot of people are looking up to, especially when

4:13 you talk about maybe in terms of learning about it, dating and learning about

4:17 relationships and all of these things. But but yes, the thing I want

4:20 you to understand. The Lodges reminded me the other day that did you notice

4:26 that Ruth was actually a widow and still Boas chose her? You know,

4:30 bo has could have been like you know what, I don't want a wido,

4:33 I just want brand new you know, stuff like that, Like he

4:38 chose her, he accepted her. You get what I'm saying. And a

4:42 lot reminded me of this and said, see on the world perspective, if

4:46 somebody's a widow or or you know, or gone through a divorce or something

4:51 like that is like rejected. You know, you know they're off. You

4:57 know people don't want to say like people don't want to That's the where the

5:00 world says, amis yes. But you know what, in spite of all

5:04 of your past, God is going to make sure that the right people,

5:09 the right boas, is going to choose you. In spite of your past,

5:14 what I want you guys to understand is, yes, you might have

5:16 lost jobs, you might have been in a place where you quite a job

5:21 because of some reason, and now you're still not God one and all the

5:27 authors are against you. But I want to tell you, in spite of

5:30 your past, God is going to make sure the right boas or the right

5:34 company is going to choose you next. I want you to be in a

5:40 place of peace, trust in the Lord. He is the one writing your

5:44 life, not other people. See when you look at root story, you

5:46 know the fact that she was a widow. It was it was not in

5:49 her hands that her husband passed away. It see, life just happens,

5:55 but it was unfair initially. But I want you to understand inspired of all

6:00 of that, God is beyond it. God is in a place where he

6:04 knows what's best for you. He knows who's best for you. He knows

6:08 how to make the right bois to choose you, the right doors to open

6:13 for you, the right opportunities to come your way, and evil still make

6:16 sure that you fulfill your God given destiny today. That's the word of encouragement

6:21 for all of you that in spite of all the things that happen in the

6:25 past, your past does not define your future. I want you to understand

6:30 that God is going to make sure that the right people, the right company,

6:33 the right doors, the right choices, the right opportunities are going to

6:38 choose you in spite of your past. Amen, God bless you. You've
