0:53 when we go through life, maybe you're in a workplace, maybe you're in

0:56 a school or college, you're doing a course, or maybe you're just going

1:00 through life. Maybe you're just saying, Okay, this is what my life

1:03 is at this point of time, and you're just thinking, you know what

1:07 better cult your dreams, your career, your goals, your dream your passions,

1:11 your ministry or calling, your purpose or your business anything. You're just

1:15 saying, you know what, I'm just there, you know what I mean

1:19 that there are so many other clients out there. I'm just one among the

1:22 crowd, or you may be saying that there are so many other students in

1:25 the class, I'm just one of them in the class, or maybe in

1:29 your workplace, you're just one among the crowd. So everywhere, be thin

1:32 to think that, you know what, there's nothing special about me. I'm

1:34 just nobody. I'm just there. Okay, fine, I'm not a little

1:41 sense of nobody, but at least I'm there somewhere, you know, among

1:44 the crowd. But I can't outshine everyone else. There are people who are

1:48 smart than me, more talented than me, more skillful than me, or

1:52 they seem to have everything together. And I'm not like that. I'm just

1:57 there. I'm just there. You may feel like I want to talk to

2:00 you today from Daniel chapter six, and I want to share a very powerful

2:06 word from verse three, and I'm looking at it from different translations to give

2:09 you a brief idea. This is a moment when this heathen king called Darius

2:14 is reorganizing his kingdom and he is setting up or appointing new governors to govern

2:21 different regions. And one of them that he is appointing is Daniel right vah

2:30 three wise regions, one of whom was Daniel right, and the governors reported

2:37 to the wise regions who made sure everything was in order for the king.

2:40 And I'm reading from the message version first, and then I will show you

2:45 from other translations as well. But this is what it says. But Daniel,

2:50 brimming with spirit and intelligence so completely outclass the other wise regions and governors

2:58 that the King decided to put Daniel in charge of the whole kingdom. Okay,

3:04 I want you to understand something here. First of all, you may

3:07 be saying, John, I didn't choose to be when I am. Okay,

3:10 I have a different region of calling or a different area where I know

3:15 that that's my area of purpose. I know that I'm I've gifted in something

3:21 else. But I'm forced to be here. I'm forced to do this course.

3:23 I'm forced to work in this kind of an environment, in this company.

3:27 I don't want to be here. It is not by my choice I'm

3:30 here, but I don't have any other choice. And that's how I'm here.

3:32 So I'll just make it through this place. I'll just somehow crawl through

3:37 or just somehow manage or make it through. But I want to tell you

3:40 something. Daniel was not here by his choice. You may be feeling like,

3:46 you know what, I don't need to do my best. I don't

3:49 need to you know, have the spirit of excellence because I didn't choose to

3:53 be here. Okay, I was forced to be here. Maybe you didn't

3:59 choose that course, your family choice or your parents forced to you into that

4:02 course, or maybe you didn't choose that job, but no other job open

4:05 for you, so you have to be here till you get another opportunity.

4:10 So you're saying, John, I'm just forced to be here. It's not

4:14 my choice. So let me just as long as I can manage. Let

4:16 me just manage, make it through. But here you see this, Daniel

4:20 also did not come here by choice. He was taken as a captive.

4:27 Remember, if you go back a couple of chapters, you will understand how

4:30 you know, Daniel and all the others were taken as captives, and that's

4:33 how they are here. They didn't come here by their own choice, and

4:38 life just happened. But in spite of the fact that they didn't come here

4:43 by their own choice, God enabled them to outclass everybody else. What I

4:47 want you guys to understand today is, even if you didn't choose that course,

4:50 even if you didn't choose that job, even if you didn't come to

4:54 where you are right now in your life, you may feel like, oh,

4:57 John, you know what my calling is in a different area, gifting

5:00 is in a different area. When I'm stuck here, I'm not able to

5:02 make a move. I feel like I'm stagnant here. I want to tell

5:05 you something here. If God has brought you here, if God has kept

5:09 you here, it means God wants to help you outclass other people. When

5:15 you look at different translations of the same verse, I wanted to just hold

5:19 on because I want to share from my life. Also in regard to this,

5:24 but if you look at the Nulty version of the same verse, it

5:29 says Daniel soon proved himself more capable than all the other administrators and high officers.

5:36 Right he soon proved himself. It means that when he started, it

5:41 seems like he was just one among the crowd. But soon he was able

5:45 to prove himself highly and more capable than anyone else. He outclassed everyone else.

5:50 What I want you to understand is, right now, it seems like

5:53 you're just one among the crowd. Right now, it seems like you're just

5:57 one of the students in the class. Maybe you're not even average, you're

6:00 below average, or maybe you're saying that John. You know what, even

6:03 in my birthplace, I'm not the most performing or the best performing you know,

6:10 employee. But I'm just just getting my job done. I'm just someone

6:14 making it through. But I want you to understand that, just same way

6:18 you didn't choose, Daniel also didn't choose, but still he was able to

6:26 shine. He was able to outclass everyone else. He was able to prove

6:30 himself more capable than everyone else. Because that's what the hand of God can

6:34 do. That's what the power of God can do. That's what the favor

6:40 of God can do. It can help you stand out. It can help

6:44 you do something far exceeding other people, and people will notice that. You

6:53 know. I'll just share this with you guys, and from my life,

6:58 I know that my ultimate call is an area of ministry. You know,

7:00 that's my heart, that's my vision. I want to go around minister the

7:03 gospel to people. But you know, because of what life has been going

7:10 happening for me, and uh, you know how you know the leading of

7:14 God. Of course, back then I didn't understand it was the leading of

7:17 God, I didn't understand a lot of things. Um, I was like,

7:21 oh my goodness, maybe I should be in full time ministry right away.

7:25 But you know, just that life has made sure that I'm working.

7:30 You guys know I work in a full time job. But you know,

7:33 in the in the past, I always thought, you know, I'm not

7:38 performing well. I'm not able to, you know, be my best because

7:41 I didn't choose to be there. I didn't want to be there. I

7:44 know that's not my area of gifting and I could not be my best,

7:47 you know what I mean. But eventually the Lord showed me through the scriptures.

7:53 Uh. You know, even when you look at Daniel's life as well

7:56 as Joseph's life, Joseph did not choose to be there, but he was

8:01 put there. He was put in charge in part of his house, he

8:05 was put in charge in the prison, you know, and he was able

8:09 to sustain. He didn't choose that, but he just happened and he was

8:13 able to sustain and do really well. And you see Daniel at the same

8:18 time, he was able to stand out from everybody else that the king wanted

8:24 to make him in charge of everything in the kingdom. Just like the Pharaoh

8:30 put Joseph in charge of everything in the kingdom. Can you think about it,

8:35 guys, are you able to understand what I'm saying? That's the way

8:39 you know what the Lord showed me was you see. You know, once

8:43 you understand that, you know God can help you shine. God will really

8:48 help you shine. That's how the Lord changed my perspective. And I'm telling

8:54 you honestly, things have changed so much for the better. The minute my

8:58 perspective changed, the minute my attitude changed, the Law changed me from the

9:03 inside out, and I'm able to see a difference. That's what God wants

9:07 to do in and through your life, and that's what He will do through

9:11 you. And today I want to lead this over you. Guys that you

9:16 know you may feel like I'm just average, I'm just weak. But you

9:20 and God together you're able to excel because you are connected with the infinite source

9:26 of wisdom. You're connected with a God who is all omniscient, omnipotent,

9:33 and omni temporal. God. He was beyond everything and he knows everything.

9:41 And today I want you to get to that place where you say God,

9:46 instead of giving excuses on why I can't be my best instead of laying out

9:50 my excuses on why I can't do my best, why I should just settle

9:56 for you know, just just go through life. Help me get to the

10:00 place where to trust you, depend on you, look up to you and

10:03 receive your strength, your wisdom, your favor, your mercy. To be

10:07 like Daniel and outclass everybody else, outshine for the glory of God. Amen,
