0:54 to ask you this question today, how is your fruit? One of the

0:59 scriptures I want to start off by sharing with you today is Matthew Chapter seven,

1:03 verse nineteen, which really caught my attention. Well, I was just

1:07 going through this, which a lot of times I've heard, and I just

1:11 miss miss one of the words in this A lot of times I always thought

1:17 it was saying a tree that does not bear fruit is cut down. So

1:21 the emphasis is on just bear some fruit. Right. That's how I've heard

1:26 a lot of preaching and sermons, and that's what was engraved in me thinking,

1:32 you know, you need to just bear some fruit. But as I

1:34 was just reading through the scripture, if you look at the NIV version,

1:38 for example, it says every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut

1:45 down and thrown into the fire. And even if you look at the NLT

1:49 version, it says, so every tree that does not produce good fruit is

1:53 chopped down. So it doesn't just say if you don't bear a fruit,

1:57 you'll be cut off. It's saying that if you don't bear good fruit,

2:01 you'll be cut off. Right. That really caught my attention because I want

2:07 to tell you guys, this is actually talking about us where we are called

2:10 to produce fruit for the Lord. We are not here to just evaluate time.

2:15 We're not here to just make it through life. We're not just living

2:19 and then die and then be buried. That's not our goal. We are

2:23 here to build the Kingdom of God. We are here for a higher purpose,

2:27 a higher calling. We are here by the divine plan of God,

2:30 for such a time as this, so that we will accomplish the task for

2:34 which God has created us and placed us in this world. But as part

2:39 of that, the thing is we have to produce fruit we have to produce

2:45 fruit, and it's not enough to just produce fruit. The Bible says you

2:50 need to produce good fruit because if you don't produce good fruit, you will

2:54 be cut off. There's no use, there's no point. Anybody here says,

3:00 you know what, even if the mango is spoiled, I don't mind

3:02 going and eating it, Or even if this fruit does not taste good,

3:08 I don't mind eating it. Do you ever say that? No? Right,

3:12 you always say I want the fruit which tastes the best, the way

3:15 it's supposed to. I want a fruit that looks really good. I want

3:20 it really nutritious way as possible. So what you're saying is you want the

3:28 fruit to be in its best. Then how can you say that or think

3:31 that? You know what, if I just produce some fruit for God,

3:35 If I just do something for the Lord, maybe some you know, when

3:38 I get some time, just do some ministry or go to church or something

3:42 something like that, that's enough. That fruit is enough. How can you

3:46 say that? Because God is saying, if you don't bear good fruit,

3:52 you will be cut off. Doing ministry. As much as you want to,

3:57 it is not enough. You have to be somebody who bears good fruit.

4:04 I want to ask you this question today. Are you bearing good fruit?

4:09 It's not enough to just bear some fruit? Are you bearing good fruit?

4:15 And you may say, John, but that's too much. I'm doing

4:17 so much. Listen. You know one of the things I always say,

4:20 Ministry is not what you do for God. Ministry is what God wants to

4:27 do through you. I say that again. Ministry is not what you do

4:30 for God. Ministry is what God wants to do through you. And how

4:36 would you bear that fruit? Is not by you trying to make it happen,

4:42 by you trying to produce the fruit. You have to get to that

4:46 place. Yes, John fifteen, verse five, where Jesus says, I'm

4:50 the wine, You're the branches. If you remain in me and I in

4:56 you, you will bear much fruit. Part from me, you can do

5:00 nothing. If you remain in me and I remain in you, you will

5:06 bear much fruit. You want to bear good fruit. You want to bear

5:13 much fruit. I want to ask you this question. Are you just trying

5:15 to produce with your own strength? Are you just trying? Because the Bible

5:19 says, apart from Jesus, you can do nothing if you're trying to do

5:24 this on your own, it's not going to work out. You can bear

5:27 some fruit, but it's not going to be much, and it's not going

5:30 to be good. You know, a lot of times one of the reasons

5:34 I take a break or sometimes I post old messages on the podcast. You

5:41 know, I'm honest in saying that. Sometimes I do that. Not all

5:45 the time, but very rarely I do that. I post old messages on

5:49 the podcast because I don't want to, you know, do something in the

5:54 flesh. I don't want to do something when I'm not in my best I

5:58 don't want to really an episode that either to do it, you know,

6:03 with my own or produce on my own. I want the Lord's leading.

6:09 And I'm telling you guys, you need to get to that place where you're

6:13 saying, you know what, I don't. I don't want to depend on

6:15 myself. I don't want to just produce on my own. I depend on

6:18 God. I want to be in him. I want to remain in Him

6:25 and I want Him to remain in me so that I will bear much fruit.

6:30 Today, I want to ask you this question. Are you abiding in

6:34 God and the He abiding in you? How is your relationship with the Lord,

6:41 is it something like what of a ritual in the morning, you just

6:45 for the sake of it, you just read some scriptures, or you just

6:47 pray and then continue the rest of the day on your own. Or are

6:53 you constantly abiding in Him? Are you constantly in you know when you say,

6:59 for example, in the atmosphere, right, like what happens, You're

7:01 You're literally in the atmosphere in the end. Uh, there's air and whatever

7:10 it is, right, the particles and all of that stuff. It's it's

7:13 it's all around you. You're surrounded by it. And when you open my

7:15 mouth, your mouth, maybe some other particles get into your mouth. It's

7:18 like it's like you're in it. You're you're in it completely, and it's

7:23 in you completely. I just want you to picture like that. You need

7:28 to be surrounded and in God completely and in His presence, always aware of

7:36 His presence, always with Him, constantly fellowship with Him. And I'm telling

7:42 you, from that place you will produce much fruit. From that place,

7:47 when you operate, you will produce good fruit. And I pray that you

7:53 will do that so that you won't be cut off in Jesus name, I
