take a break. This is Fuel for the Soul with John GIFTA. We're
a hub for inspirational Christian sermons, practical keys for Christian living, in Christian
discussions and interviews. You'll be inspired to live the life that you were created
for. Your host is a top ranking podcaster, best selling author, world
record holder, aerospace engineer, life coach, evangelist, and founder of John
Gifta International. Welcome to Fuel for the Soul with John GIFTA. Hey,
are you in the place and in life where you're saying, John, I'm
praying, I'm believing, But I'm not able to see the favorite of God
upon my life. I'm not able to see the power of God. I'm
not able to walk in the miracles, the power of the supernancial. I'm
not able to experience the fullness of the Christian left that I'm supposed to have?
Is there something that could be wrong in my life? See that are
a lot of things that we can learn. We can introspect wherein a journey
God understands that we're going through a lot of things. But there's something that
the Lord was speaking to me about and I thought I would share this with
you, and I want to take it forward by sharing this scripture. And
I want to take this forward Romance twelve, verse one, and it says,
therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God's
mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice only and pleasing to God.
This is your true and proper worship. Now when you look at the
Nulty version, it says in a very similar line, I plead with you
to give your bodies to God because of all He has done for you.
Let them be a living and holy sacrifice, the kind he will find acceptable.
This is truly the way to worship Him. Now, I want to
tell you something. The scripture is talking about offering ourselves, offering every element
about us. Maybe it's your physical aspect of life, your time, your
money, your resources, your gifts, your emotions, your mental you know
ability and the strength and all of that, everything as a whole that makes
you you. You're called to give to the Lord as a living sacrifice,
not after you die, but as a living sacrifice unto the Lord, so
that you glorify God with your life. We praise him with our life.
We live our life for him. It's no longer we that live, but
it is Christ to live through us, to fulfill his plan that he has
for us. Right. And so now a lot of Christians take this face
value and say, yes, you know what, I'm worshiping the Lord.
They sing songs or praise and worship and they think that's worship. Now it
your is a scripture. It clearly says offering yourself as a living sacrifice.
Where you say, I'm denying my own self. I'm denying or bringing death
to my own self, and I'm saying, let God's will be done over
my life. I'm giving myself into his hands and giving myself as the living
sacrifice for him to use me whatever way he wants. So it's not about
what I want, but it's about what He wants. And that's what is
true and proper worship. That's what the Bible says right now in line with
there's someone who share the scripture with you, and I want to take this
forward, and it is found in Malachai chapter one, and I'm reading to
you from words number seven and I'm reading from the Alti version, and it's
what says you defile them by saying, the altar of the Lord deserves no
respect when you give blind animals as sacrifices. Isn't that wrong? And it
is the wrong to offer animals that crippled and deceased. Trying giving gifts like
this to the governor, and see how pleased he is, says the Lord
of Heaven's armies. Go ahead, beg God to be merciful to you.
But when you bring that kind of an offering, why should he show you
any favor at all? As the Lord of Heaven's armies, he's saying this.
There are people who don't properly give the proper kind of sacrifice. And
they're not offering the right sacrifice. They're not doing it properly. They're doing
it complacently. They're doing evil. You know, they're thinking, like,
you know, what, I do the best for something else, Like you
know, in a literal sense, let's say this. You know a lot
of people, Oh, you know what, I need to put my best
foot forward because this is for my job. But if it's for charge,
he'll be like, you know, this much is enough? You get what
I'm saying. A lot of people have this complacent attitude, yeah, thinking
that you know what, you know this and how I need to impress my
boss. I need to do this because you know it's going to give me
a better platform or an influence, and you know I need to do this
for this person. But when it comes to the Lord, you're like,
you know what, God will understand. I don't need to go that level
of quality. This much is enough? Can I get your attention with this?
Because this is so true. I've seen a lot of people. They
go the extra mile, they do so much, they have a spirit of
excellence when it comes to what they call a secular stuff. But when it
comes to the Lord, they think God understands. Let me just give whatever
I can and whatever I want, whatever I feel like, and even if
it's low quality, second class, it's fine because God will understand. And
here is a scripture would say is very classic way God is saying, you
know, if you were to give this to a governor, would he accept
it? If you were to give a very bad condition of an offering to
you know, somebody else in your vicinity, would he accept it? No?
Then what makes you think that you can play up with God. I'll
tell you honestly, you know, many times I've been in the treasury groups
right when we collect or count the offering that comes from church services and all
of that. And I'll tell you sometimes I've been in setups where there are
really rich people, and I'll tell you honestly, sometimes the offerings that come
there will be like very tone notes that you know that people won't accept it
on I mean this is in India, okay, for those who do not
know. In some countries, whatever the condition of the currencies, they will
accept it. But in India, if it's tone, if it's in a
damaged place, you know, they won't accept. In shops, they won't
accept in a lot of places. So you need to go to the bank
and change it. That's what it is to be done. But they would
put such notes into the offering box, or sometimes coins that are not even
acceptable, like you know, certain kind of outdated coins that are no longer
uptable in the currency of the system would be in the offering box. I've
seen that, right, And I'm telling you honestly, if you are going
to do that for you know, maybe paying your tax or maybe for your
King. Maybe in your workplace, you might get fired, you might get
sued, you might be put in jail. But why would you think God
lightly? That is what I'm trying to say here, and God is going
on to say this. You know, if you bring such offerings, how
can you expect to see My favor? And that is the question I want
to leave with you. If you are saying you want to experience God's favor,
you want to experience God's power, you want to live the Christian life
God has for you, then how can you bring such bad offerings to the
Lord when you are not offering yourself willfully, fully in every area of your
life, whether it's your physical in every area including your interests, your desires,
your passions, your goals, your careers, your relationships, and every
other detail. If you're not offering yourself properly, if you're not giving the
proper of the Lord, how can you expect to live the life that He
has for you? Today, I pray and I challenge every one of you
that you will make amends in your offering, that you will offer yourself as
a living sacrifice to the Lord in every detail, not partially, not in
some areas but completely so that it will please the Lord and you will walk
in the fullness of what He has in store for you. Amen, God
bless you. You've been listening to Fuel for the Soul with John Gifta,
