0:55 part, we may have some expectations about a future, expectations on how God

1:00 might lead. Maybe you have a vision, maybe a promise from God.

1:02 Maybe it's some dreams and desires. Maybe you think that it might come to

1:07 pass, or it may be from the Lord and it will definitely become a

1:10 reality. Or maybe you may think that maybe I have a fair idea,

1:12 maybe this is how my life is going to be. Maybe my grow and

1:17 my career or my business might grow. I might have a good family and

1:21 have a long, healthy, satisfying life. As the promise of God is

1:26 you might have some fair idea on where it could go. But you know,

1:30 I want to share something very important, and I want to take this

1:33 forward. And this is a worse that I've read a million times. I

1:37 preached about it a million times, but I was reading from a different version

1:40 and I thought, this is something I have to bring it there. It

1:42 was so good. It's found in Isaiah forty three was eighteen. Yes,

1:47 you might have guessed it right normal way. It always says, you know,

1:51 forget the former things. Behold, God is about to do something beautiful.

1:55 Don't go over old history. I've preached on that several times from the

1:59 message version and you know, stopped dwelling in the past. That's what generally

2:02 is taught about. And this version, an ult version, it said something

2:07 so good. It says, but forget all of that, like you know,

2:10 it's talking about if you'll read the context. A couple of verses before

2:14 that, it says, you know how the Lord made a way through the

2:16 waters. He made it, you know how the Lord let the children of

2:21 Israel in the past. So he was talking about the fact that, you

2:23 know, God has done amazing things in the past. And it's so good

2:25 and all of that, and it goes on to say forget all of that

2:29 in the sense like we'd say, you know, forget the negative things of

2:31 the past. I saw we generally look at, but this was something that

2:35 really caught my attention. It says, look at all the amazing things the

2:38 Lord did in the past, but forget that. I was like wow.

2:40 Looking at it in context, it really made it like, oh my gosh,

2:44 there's something that I need to talk about. And it says it is

2:46 nothing compared to what I'm going to do. I just love this. It's

2:53 nothing compared to what I'm about to do. What I'm going to do for

2:58 I'm about to do something new. See, I've already begun. Do you

3:01 not see it? So what if God is saying is you know, when

3:05 we talk about forget the former things, forget the past, to do not

3:07 dwell in the past, don't go over old history. We often use that

3:12 and as an example to stop dwelling in the negative things of the past.

3:15 But here, if you see the context, it's saying that God did amazing

3:19 things in the past, reminding of what the Lord did, and it's saying,

3:22 you know, forget all the amazing things the Lord is done in the

3:24 sense that you know, what what God is about to do is going to

3:29 be much much much much much much bigger, better, brighter than what He

3:34 has already done in your life already. Can you imagine that because you may

3:38 be thinking that, okay, based on what I saw in the past,

3:42 I think this is how my life is going to be, roughly, But

3:45 what God is saying is, you know, he's a god who says The

3:47 Scripture says that a path of the writers gets brighter and brighter, not dumber

3:51 and dumber, nor duller and duller. But God is going to take you

3:55 from brighter to brighter, not dimmer to dimma right, So you have to

4:01 get to that place where you trust that God's plan for your life is going

4:05 to be better than what it was in the past. The Bible talks about

4:09 how you know the latter rain is going to be greater than the former rain.

4:13 You know, these promises are again and again coming back to us to

4:15 remind us and say, listen, you know what you've seen in the past

4:19 is great. What the Lord did in the past is awesome. Don't go

4:23 to a place where you're saying, you know what I don't know what the

4:26 Lord has done. Yes, God did miracles and all of that. That's

4:29 all awesome. But what the Bible is saying, I mean I read this,

4:31 it says, forget all of that, because what God is about to

4:35 do is going to be much much better than what He has already done in

4:41 your life. Your latter days are going to be better than your former days.

4:46 No, don't ever think that you're going downhill. Don't ever think that

4:50 you know what John, I think my best days are behind me. No,

4:54 if God has given your breath, if God has given your life,

4:59 if God has given you strength, if God has given you the ability to

5:03 listen to this podcast, I believe that he's stirring something up in your spirit,

5:09 and he's reminding you and saying you hain't seen nothing yet, because what

5:14 I'm going to do is something you can't compare to what I've done already.

5:21 Be grateful for what God did in the past, but I want you to

5:27 have great expectation because what God is about to do is going to make your
