0:43 Welcome to Fuel for the Soul with John Gifta. For the most part, we may have some expectations about a future, expectations on how God might lead. Maybe you have a vision, maybe a promise from God. Maybe it's some dreams and desires. Maybe you think that it might come to pass, or it may be from the Lord and it will definitely become a reality. Or maybe you may think that maybe I have a fair idea, maybe this is how my life is going to be. Maybe my grow and my career or my business might grow. I might have a good family and have a long, healthy, satisfying life.

1:24 As the promise of God is you might have some fair idea on where it could go. But you know, I want to share something very important, and I want to take this forward. And this is a worse that I've read a million times. I preached about it a million times, but I was reading from a different version and I thought, this is something I have to bring it there. It was so good. It's found in Isaiah forty three was eighteen. Yes, you might have guessed it right normal way. It always says, you know, forget the former things.

1:52 Behold, God is about to do something beautiful. Don't go over old history. I've preached on that several times from the message version and you know, stopped dwelling in the past. That's what generally is taught about. And this version, an ult version, it said something so good. It says, but forget all of that, like you know, it's talking about if you'll read the context. A couple of verses before that, it says, you know how the Lord made a way through the waters. He made it, you know how the Lord let the children of Israel in the past.

2:21 So he was talking about the fact that, you know, God has done amazing things in the past. And it's so good and all of that, and it goes on to say forget all of that in the sense like we'd say, you know, forget the negative things of the past. I saw we generally look at, but this was something that really caught my attention. It says, look at all the amazing things the Lord did in the past, but forget that. I was like wow. Looking at it in context, it really made it like, oh my gosh, there's something that I need to talk about.

2:45 And it says it is nothing compared to what I'm going to do. I just love this. It's nothing compared to what I'm about to do. What I'm going to do for I'm about to do something new. See, I've already begun. Do you not see it? So what if God is saying is you know, when we talk about forget the former things, forget the past, to do not dwell in the past, don't go over old history. We often use that and as an example to stop dwelling in the negative things of the past. But here, if you see the context, it's saying that God did amazing things in the past, reminding of what the Lord did, and it's saying, you know, forget all the amazing things the Lord is done in the sense that you know, what what God is about to do is going to be much much much much much much bigger, better, brighter than what He has already done in your life already.

3:36 Can you imagine that because you may be thinking that, okay, based on what I saw in the past, I think this is how my life is going to be, roughly, But what God is saying is, you know, he's a god who says The Scripture says that a path of the writers gets brighter and brighter, not dumber and dumber, nor duller and duller. But God is going to take you from brighter to brighter, not dimmer to dimma right, So you have to get to that place where you trust that God's plan for your life is going to be better than what it was in the past.

4:08 The Bible talks about how you know the latter rain is going to be greater than the former rain. You know, these promises are again and again coming back to us to remind us and say, listen, you know what you've seen in the past is great. What the Lord did in the past is awesome. Don't go to a place where you're saying, you know what I don't know what the Lord has done. Yes, God did miracles and all of that. That's all awesome. But what the Bible is saying, I mean I read this, it says, forget all of that, because what God is about to do is going to be much much better than what He has already done in your life.

4:42 Your latter days are going to be better than your former days. No, don't ever think that you're going downhill. Don't ever think that you know what John, I think my best days are behind me. No, if God has given your breath, if God has given your life, if God has given you strength, if God has given you the ability to listen to this podcast, I believe that he's stirring something up in your spirit, and he's reminding you and saying you hain't seen nothing yet, because what I'm going to do is something you can't compare to what I've done already.

5:21 Be grateful for what God did in the past, but I want you to have great expectation because what God is about to do is going to make your mind go crazy. Emma, God bless you. 6:53 And this is not a message of condemnation, This is a message of hope. Dead is a God loves you so much he sent his only son, Jesus Christ, to come down and pay a heavy price by shedding every drop of his blood on the cross. Thank you for dying for my sins. When you believe in Him, you have free gift or salvation for you that it shows us that we will go to heaven when we die instead of suffering in hell forever. I just encourage you today to make the simple step of fate and say, Jesus, I thank you for what you did on the cross.
