Welcome to Fuel for the Soul with John Gifta. As we're talking about the radious aspects which are gone to knowing or finding Gods for a life today, I'm going to talk about another aspect on how can you connect God's will with unfair things that you're going through. Maybe somebody did you wrong, somebody played up against you, Maybe in your office, somebody's playing politics against you, or maybe in your school or in your college. You have friends circle who are constantly doing things to put you in an embarrassing situation, or you're constantly battling things with God to negative things or unfair things that people are playing up against you today.
I want you to understand something very important here. Sometimes when you are going through such seasons, when you're going through moments when you feel like, oh my goodness, John, I don't know why God is not showing up. I do not know why all these unfair things are happening against me. No matter how many extra hours I put towards my work, no matter how many times I go the extra mile, I'm giving the spirit of excellence in my workplace, I'm still always being looked down. I'm all is, you know, being pointed out and up, you know, crushed down, and you know they're always trying to make me look bad in front of my peers or in front of my higher ups.
Or maybe in your school, you're you're putting your best foot forward, but maybe some teacher doesn't like you, or maybe in your college there's some a lecturer who has some kind of a thing against you, and they're constantly trying to put you in a bad spot. I want you to understand something here. Sometimes we tend to fight that, and we are constantly allowing that. To say, you know what, I don't know why because of this unfair thing I'm always, you know, being in the shorthand of a stake because of this unfair thing.
I'm always going through these negative things. Because of these unfair things, I'm always being overlooked for that position, or I'm never getting that promotion, I'm always being rejected. I don't understand, John, why these circumstances are always playing up against me. Well, today I want to talk about one important aspect to let you know and remind you of how we save a God who is a sovereign god. We save a God who has you in the palm of his hands. We serve a God who knows the end from the beginning.
He has a good plan for your life, not to harm you, but to give you hope and a good future. We serve a God who wants you to prosper in all that you do. We serve a God who wants to ensure that you know what, no matter what you're going through, you're going to come out from brighter to brighter, glory to glory. And that is the God we serve. But I want to share a scripture with you Genesis chapter forty two, verse twenty one, where the brothers of Joseph are talking about Joseph. In fact, the saying, surely we are being punished because of our brother Joseph.
We saw how distressed he was when he pleaded with us for his life, but we would not listen. Another translation goes on to say we saw his anguish when he pleaded for his life, but we would not listen. Another one says, we saw the distress of his soul when he begged us, and we did not listen. So what you actually understand is Joseph. Many times we just look at the aspect of Joseph as this guy, you know, who did not complain, who was always you know, the peaceful guy, you know, who was always, you know, like an inspirational story for all of us.
And you know what, look at Joseph p like Joseph and thinks like that, that's our way. We always look at him as a as a source of motivation for our life. But I wanted to understand years a picture of that. They're very Joseph, who wouldn't just take it up just like that. The Pineble says that when his brothers were doing the harm to him, he was distressed, he was anguish. They could see the distress of his soul. He pleaded, Dandy, begged Dandy, he cried and said, please let me go. So what you actually realize is that Joseph that we look at as the one whom we always say, you know, Joseph went through so much of negativity, but he still he was living in the present.
He was going out and to invest in the dreams of the cup Barton and Baker, or even when he was working in part of his house, he demonstrated a spirit of excellence. We always look at, you know, something what we call as you know, the positive qualities, and we say, wow, what How did he have such a good aptitude? How was he living in the present and he was not gloomy and living for himself and given up on life? How was he like that? But here you see that this same Joseph had another story where when he was actually being sold out, when his brothers were doing things to harm him, he was pleading, He was crying, he was anguish, he was strubled in a soul, and he was pleading with them and begging them please let me go, Please let me go.
Joseph cried because they were doing things against him. Yes, they did it against him, but do you know something. Sometimes in your life, some people may do things against us, people may play up against us. I've seen so many times in my life. Right from the time I was in school, people played up against me. Some teachers they just hated me to the core that they had some kind of grudge against me. They were I'm not saying everybody was bad, but there were people who did that day. They knew the kind of problems I was going through in my home, they knew all of that, but they just had the joy to see me suffer.
You know, to the fact that when I was just in the seventh grade, I lost my will to live. I didn't want to live anymore. That to that extent I went through. I can totally relate with anybody who says, here, John, what they've done against me is so bad that it has affected me in so many ways. Still date, I still suffer because of all the things that I've went through ever since I was young, even today, or in even even in today's circumstance, in spite of the fact that you know what you can say, John, you know, top ranking podcast, so you're those preacher and best setting author and all these things.
Still when today you know there are effects of what I've been through as a child, within in my perspective of life, or you know, my level of self confidence, or you know the identity issues that I've been struggling with. I'm thanking you, guys. It's true when people do things against us, it's hurting us. It can affect you. It may look like they're doing something to harm you. It may look like they're doing something against you. I even know, even through my work time, I've gone through moments where I would put my best foot forward.
I would go the extra mile, work so many hours extra every day. I would I would, you know, be the kind of person you know during work time. I would, like, you know, completely dedicate myself to that. But there was, you know, people right about me who are just playing up. You know, I would literally work one and our shifts amount of work, and the one right about me would hardly do any work. But would you know, take up my amount of work or my efforts and put us if they project as if they did it, and then put me in a bad spot and get me into a lot of trouble.
I mean, I'm talking about people playing politics, people doing things to harm you. I've gone through that I know what you're going through, and it's easy for us to get discouraged when we go through that. But I want you to understand when people do things against you, Yes, it's hard. They may mean for your harm, But the God we serve is a god who can use what was meant for harm for our advantage. The Bible says in Romans say twenty eight for he will take all things. I just want you to understand all things, whether things are good or bad, all things he will ensure to work it out for good.
Because you love God and you are searching, and you have a heart to walk according to His purpose. I want you to understand that. So sometimes we may tend to fight against these things that people are doing against us, but I want you to understand stop fighting against those wrong things that people have done, and say, God, if this is what it is for me, you be my vindicator. I know that you're going to be a chest guard who's going to use what the enemy meant for harm for my advantage. In fact, that's exactly what Joseph ends up telling his own brothers when they meet up in the final couple of chapters in Genesis.
You read this where Joseph is telling his brothers and he said, guys, you meant for my harm, but God turned it around for good. Yes, you did this against me, that's how it looks like it. But God brought me here in advance so that he would prepare for the famine, so that people will be saved through the famine. I wanted to understand Joseph had this perspective where he said, people didn't do this against me. Yes they did against me, but that's what they were thinking. But even what they did against me was divinely, sovereignly under the God's plan and will and purpose.
Because think about it, if Joseph's brothers hadn't done that, Joseph would not have gone to where he was, and so many people could not have got it saved. You get what I'm saying. Joseph would have just been sitting in the comfort of his home.
Now. Sometimes God has to allow circumstances like this to push us out of our comfort zones so that we would get into where God wants us to be. It's not easy. Sometimes we may be crying against their thinking it's thing against us, but it's actually something you know that God is going to use for us for the extension of his kingdom. You know, even the
wife played up against Joseph, but it looked like an unfair thing. But unless she had done that, Joseph would have still remained and died as a slave. You see, sometimes, you know, God has to allow these negative things that people play up against us so that through that process we are pushed out of that comfort zone, or we are pushed out of that season and level, so that we would proceed to the next higher dimension that God has for us. So today when you're saying, John, because of these people, I'm missing my God's will or God's bland.
No, no, no, no no. Remember, I want to close with this important scripture. I may share the scripture again in an upcoming episode, but I want to say this to you. For Sicalonians five, it says, give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.
So when you look at it, in all circumstances, give thanks because this is God's will. So you have to come to a place where you say what they did for me or they did against me is unfair. It's it's it's totally unfair. I totally agree with that what they did affected you. It's it's it's totally unjust, it's unfair. But learn to come to the realization I accept that this is part of God's will for me. And when you come to that place, you will stop fighting it and let God be your vindicator. And you will see that what the enemy meant for harm actually turned for your advantage because that was a thing that guided you towards your destiny.
Today, get to this important aspect that you will not fight those things that are fighting you and let God be your indicator. And I'm sure, just like Joseph, you'll get to that place where you say, without a shadow of a doubt, what the enemy meant for harm, God use that to direct me towards my destiny. I'll see you tomorrow in the aspect of how to distow God's will through circumstances that never seemed to change. God. Bless you bye. You've been listening to Fuel for the Soul with John Gift.
